Great location with easy access to the beach only a short walk away. You feel almost hidden being off the road just a little and with enough tree coverage to block the nice patio from cars passing by. The small deck is comfortable and peaceful. Be careful of the floors, they are like rolling hills and you don’t know where your next step will land you. The home gives a lot of old beach town vibe.

First time going to Folly Beach. I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy it was to get around. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will come back without a doubt.

What a little gem! Clean, quiet and had a very well stocked kitchen! I love to cook, so this was great! Short easy (very accessible) walk to public beach path. Great screened in porch. We will be back!

The little cottage is wonderful. Very quiet on the back porch. Super quick walk to the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much. The furniture is very unique and sparked interest in all of us ( the little game table and coffee table) Very cute little place to enjoy peace and quiet and close enough to enjoy the square of Folly.

Easy to get in.Close walk to beach.Felt a lot like stepping back in time to what I imagine Folly Beach used to be like before all the newer “sleeps 20” houses got built.

Great location

A cute older cottage with the basics. We enjoyed the marsh from the back deck & the short walk to the beach . Dolphins every morning at beach !

Peaceful, Quaint, Perfect Location

We loved our stay on Folly - Rental was a perfect location for a quiet retreat and easy access to the Beach. Boogie Boards and Beach Chairs were greatly appreciated !

Fun time in Folly at Palmetto Pearl

Have not stayed at a VRBO on vacation but this was easy to book and communicating with the owners Bob and Shirley made our trip preparation and planning a breeze. The home was beautiful and had everything we needed for a great stay. Would definitely book and stay here again

Had an amazing time staying here! Better than pictures. Loved location in that we were still within walking distance of the hot spots of town, but away from the noise. Easy walk to the beach.

No outdoor showerVery particular/rulesEx. the house listed a 4 person max and when I changed to the allotted 4 last minute (along with the lengthy last minute contract) that the previous(a day b/f) host at a near by much less pricey home did NOT require… I was all but scolded and was lectured about how couches couldnt be slept on etc Sub par response when reaching out about plumbing issues.. accusatory at best

You rented through VRBO and indicated there were only 2 guests, you and another. Then at the last minute you change the rental agreement to show 4 guests. That changes how we furnish the house. Sleeping on the furniture, I only mention that in our conversation because of the ages and genders of the additional guests. And there is an outside hose with a shower head at the entrance to the front porch and a sign asking to please hose off anything sandy. As for the plumbing, you said yourself that after plunging it numerous times, it finally flushed. I said I would try to get a plumber and you texted back that it cleared and you had no further problems. That occurred long before I could have gotten you a plumber on Sunday July 5th Sorry we did not meet your expectations.

Steps to the beach

My wife and I had a lovely stay at the Palmetto Pearl. The proximity to the beach was my favorite aspect. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed morning coffee and relaxing in the evening on the screened porch.
