Welcome to Sea Life Cottage, a true ocean front historic cottage offering unobstructed beach and ocean views. This vintage cottage is a cozy place to create new family memories.
Sea Life offers 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, a comfortable living room, and a full kitchen. The cottage offers ocean views from the back deck, enclosed screen porch, queen bedroom and living room.
If you want the convenience of being ocean front, and only steps from the beach, then Sea Life is the place!
The space
Sea Life Cottage is a vintage cottage directly on the Atlantic Ocean side of OBX. The home has a washer and dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen. The cottage has the original ship lap walls. Future renovations include the primary bedroom and bathroom. The hall bathroom was remodeled January 2024.
You cannot beat the location and convenient access to the beach. You can grab your beach chair, and your beverage of choice, and walk to the beach. Head back to the house to make lunch or take a nap, then head back to the beach. No long walks or having to park nearby and lug all your gear to the beach! What could be better than the convenience of being ocean front and making it as easy as possible for you and your loved ones and friends to enjoy the OBX!

Guest access
There is enough room for two large or three small vehicles on the driveway. Public parking is available a block-and-a-half away for extra vehicles.

My favorite travel places have been the Masai Mara, Kenya, Tortuguero, Costa Rica, and the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. I feel privileged to have visited such beautiful places and to have seen the wild animals that roam the lands they call home.

First vacation to the Outer Banks we rented a VRBO house two doors down from the Sea Life Cottage. We fell in love with the laid back vibe of the OBX, as well as the wonderful restaurant choices, and the variety of site seeing obtions. You can choose to be lazy and lay under the sun at the beach, hike up a flight of stairs inside a lighthouse, tour the wild horses in Corolla, hang with the kiddos at one of the many amusement parks along Croatan Highway, visit the Wright Brothers, take a fairy boat ride to Ocracoke Island, go boating, go parasailing, etc. There are just too many to list. Norfolk International Airport is the closest airport and only one hour and twenty minute drive to our place!

Our cottage is one of the original salt box homes along the Atlantic Ocean in Kill Devil Hills. We've done some renovations, but the home still retains the original ship lap walls. This is by no means a modern home. It's a quaint little cottage along the beach with beautiful views of the ocean day and night!
