UP Adventure Basecamp with hot tub close to the Porcupine Mountains.

Make yourself at home in this 3-bedroom retreat. This charming house features 1 king bed, 1 queen and a full over queen bunk with pull out trundle, perfect for a group or family getaway. With a cozy living space, fully equipped kitchen and coffee bar. We have wifi and smart TV's. in the home as well.
Relax in the hot tub after a long day, enjoy the fire pit and stone charcoal grill in the private backyard. There maybe an opportunity to view the Northern lights from the back yard or run up to Lake Superior to enjoy the sunset.

If you're into UTV adventures or snowmobiling, Trail 1 is 2 blocks from the house so you can ride to the trail right from the driveway. The garage is available for machine repairs (bring your own tool kit just incase) or thawing frozen gear, and trailers can be parked to the left of the driveway on the yard. Don't want to haul your machine or dont own one? no problem Timberline rentals can help.

If you're into skiing and snowboarding this house is within 15 minutes of the Porcupine Mountains Ski Area.

Hiking is abundant for all skill levels around here being so close to the Porkys. Trailheads are just a short drive away.

Fishing adventures await with miles and miles of trout streams, rivers and lakes all within a short drive from the home. Trout (brookies, browns and rainbows)perch, smallmouth, walleye with seasonal runs of salmon, lake run Brown trout, coho and king salmon in the Lake Superior Tributaries. Lake Gogebic is an epic icefishing destination for some monster yellow perch. There are Charter Boats and Guides available in the area if you contact some of the sports shops they'll be glad to help to select the right trip.

Very clean and roomy. Hot tub was great! Well equipped for the most part. No lighter for the grill or fire pit though.

Great Stay the Hosts rocked it out of the park...... we rode the snowmobiles, sat in the hot tub and had a relaxing stay........... Thank you sooo much I recomend this place

This location was perfect for our annual UP Snowmobile trip. There was space to park our trailer and it was close to the restaurant and legion. Easy access to the snowmobile trail.

We stayed 7 nights and the location was extremely easy to and from Porcupine Mountains. The home was cozy and well furnished, the hot tub is a great bonus for a morning wake up of the muscles and evening relaxation of the tired legs from hiking. The neighborhood is pleasantly quiet and friendly. Cell service is pretty much non-existence so take note grab a map (old school style) or you will be lost :). Use of the garage is a great plus so you don’t have to unpack or pack up in the rain!!!!!!

Hot tub was great after long day of hiking at Porcupine mountains. Property was very clean and kept up well. Neighborhood is old abandoned mining town so some properties are in bad shape but very quiet area that we felt safe in.

We did not use the hot tub, but we were outside a ton. Beautiful back yard and the house was also beautiful inside.

Snowmobile trip

We had a great time it was close to the snowmobile trail that was perfect. The hot tub was a great feature for after snowmobiling all day. Would definitely stay there again. Thankyou

The rooms were stocked and ready for use which was great. After a long day hiking the hot tub was nice too! Unfortunately the outdoor area (deck and backyard) weren't very clean. Our son actually spent a half hour scooping dead leaves off the deck and some of the deck furniture was unusable. The was an overall musky smell when we arrived on the property but opening windows to air out was helpful

I'm sorry you had difficulties with the deck during your stay. I wish we would have been contacted about this so we could have had a chance to remedy the situation for you. As far as the leaves, the weather around the lake chances rapidly and there may have been a storm that brought these down prior to your arrival. We are working on acquiring new furniture as we are aware it has gotten old, so in the meantime there are brand new camping chairs for use. They are in the garage to keep out of elements and I could have let you know if you would have brought it to my attention. I'm glad you were able to enjoy the hot tub. Please consider staying with us again in the future.

Great proximity to the Porcupine Mountains and the lake shore. We were able to do a day trip to Bayfield Wisconsin to the Apostle Islands, Ironwood, to Little Girls Point, to hunt for Yupper lites, and of course hiking in the mountains to find the waterfalls. All in all a great trip!

Nice house

Th house is bigger than it looks and the back yard is pretty private. We saw lots of wildlife including eagles, turkey vultures and a deer ran right through the back yard. The hot tub was everything after hiking all day. Make sure you visit the lake in the clouds. It was amazing!!

Stayed here while exploring the Porkies and Cooper Harbor. Great distance from state park, just make sure you have directions before you go anywhere as you will have a hard time finding service. Quiet neighborhood. Beds very comfortable. Was excited to book partially because of hot tub, then it rained, A LOT, so we couldn’t use it.

Hiking Getaway

This little spot was the perfect place to stay close to the porkies and have all of the amenities to be self sufficient. It was better stocked than most places we’ve stayed across the state. After lots of hiking and climbing all those stairs to get to the top of Summit Peak, the hot tub was a welcomed treat!! Also close to the the Konteka, which was fun to mingle with other travelers and catch a few sports games. Thanks for a great stay! Highly recommend.

Unexpected Start, good communication, clean

There was a bit of a mishap with our stay & the cabin not being cleaned before we got there. However the host was responsive and the place is regularly kept so clean I touched things up before the cleaners even got there. Pay attention to the location details, Nice inside but neighborhood is close quarters and run down. Good on a budget.

House Keeping

We were unsure if the house even got cleaned before our arrival. The recycle bin was full, the beds weren't made, the basket on the washer for our dirty towels was full, leaves were all over the floor by back door and there was a half empty bottle of water in the bathroom. bathroom..Hal.twashyhthbottle

We were not contacted about this upon your arrival. If you would have let us know things did not look in order we could have contacted the housekeeper. She would have been more than happy to come over and make sure things were clean.

Our stay in White Pine was very nice! The host was quick at responding, the house was well stocked with everything we needed, house was clean, thank you! It was a great place to relax after a busy day. The hot tub was very relaxing!!! Bonanza Falls was close to the house & is a must see. The night sky and sunset on Lake Superior are amazing! Lake of the Clouds & Bond Falls are worth visiting. Don't leave Ontonagon without having a pasty from Syl's.

The property was just as described. They had everything you need for the basics. The interior was cute and clean - hot tub was great (husband enjoyed for sure) Ten minutes from the Porkies and within minutes from Lake Superior! Loved the welcome book that explains how to work things and local restaurants etc. Neighbor across the street was very informative and even gave us a bottle of bug spray that he recommended! (The gnats at the hiking trails were horrible!) Recommend face nets if you don’t want these annoying little bugs in your eyes and mouth! lol
