Enjoy the ocean view and breezes from this beautiful two bedroom , two bath condo. Full kitchen, washer, dryer, cable TV with DVD player. Wireless internet. Swimming pool, Jacuzzi, bar-b-que, underground parking included. The local area is quiet and uncrowded - perfect for walking around or relaxing at the beach.

Imperial Beach is quieter and more family friendly than San Diego's other, more crowded beaches. Yet most of San Diego's main attractions like the zoo, Coronado, and Sea World are within a 30 minute drive.

Great location

Condo was in a great location. Steps to beach. Parking was onsite and easy. Check in and communication with property owner was seem less and well organized. We had a great stay.

Long overdue CA getaway

My husband and I came to CA to attend our nephews graduation from the Navy Seals SWCC program and stayed at this wonderful property on Imperial Beach enjoyed coffee on the balcony every morning watching surfers The condo had everything we needed and the area is easy to get around We especially liked having coffee at Ye Ole Plank Inn about a block away and The Brigantine restaurant was very good for a nice sit down meal (especially if you like seafood) The property owner Ed is easy to reach and very helpful with any questions we had My sister brother in law and nephew stayed with us a couple of nights there was plenty of room San Diego has a lot to see so hopefully we can come back and will definitely stay at this location if it’s available:)

Great place

We loved this condo. Right on the beach clean and comfortable. Great food all around. Loved the scenery all around and loved the comfort knowing the whole place was secure, with locked gated doors.

The views of the ocean, beach and pier were awesome. Great for walks. Restaurants walkable. The beds were comfortable, secure parking, and space in condo were excellent (had new: in-suite washer & dryer, microwave, fridge and dishwasher) Interior could use some updating. Only 25-30 minute drive from San Diego Old Town, Hop on Hop off tour and Zoo. The host, Ed was very helpful. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Great place for a Family Trip!

Our biggest gripe from our kids was that they weren’t allowed in the water due to sewer leakage from Tijuana. We specifically booked to be on the beach so that was definitely a bummer. That would have been nice to have been disclosed. Not being from the area- I didn’t know about the issues but from reading articles it sounds like this has been an issue since 2021. (We started getting in the water and had the lifeguards stop us). However, the sunsets were killer from the condo! Beautiful beach otherwise with an awesome pier to walk. Ed made check in a breeze and the fruit basket was wonderful as well. Basketball courts and the pool/spa were great to keep the 4 kiddos occupied! The only other issue we had was at random times of the day- the entry way would smell heavily of pot. It seemed to be coming through the vents- so I’m sure it was either someone below or next to us. Overall- we had an awesome family trip and if the sewage issues at the beaches resolve then we will be back for sure!

Perfect location

This property was just what we needed to enjoy time by the ocean in a chill atmosphere! The view was amazing - the kitchen gave us a chance to stay in for breakfast and lunch - end enjoy eating out later. Easy drive to San Diego too! We would love to come back - and Ed was a great host providing info, check ins, and even a fruit basket upon arrival!

Great vacation/getaway spot

Property was just as listed but better in person. Accommodated our family of 5 nicely. Place is right on beach with balcony looking right out to beach/pier. Clean and plenty of amenities. Great pizza spot across the street called Pizzeria Luigi. Would rent from again.

Perfect Beach vacation

The condo was clean and comfortable with a great view of the water. The hosts were kind and thoughtful and left a nice fruit basket for us. Will definitely go back.

Awesome sunset!

Spacious condo. Awesome sunset from balcony. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Very quiet beach. Lots of beach towels to use. Pool area was nice and quiet. Communication with property owner was great! Close to San Diego but far enough away from the big city. Would definitely stay here again.

We'll be back

We very much enjoy the layout and location of this property. Last year we stayed at another unit in the building and it is in a great location. You can watch the sunset and in the morning receive motivation from the folks using the outdoor gym below while sipping coffee. We recommend.

Decent

Location was great. Property needs major updating. Dryer did not work and was not told this prior to getting there. Also was charged a cleaning fee because he said his housekeeper saw “feces on the floor”. My children wear diapers and there was no feces on the floor.

Great location and view!

We all enjoyed our stay at the condo for a week! Well stocked with towels, trash bags, TP, soap, etc. Ed and Sandy were excellent hosts and the fruit basket was a nice welcoming touch! Thank you! We will definitely return!

Beach house

My family and I enjoyed staying at Ed’s property. The patio overlooked the beach and the playground which was great for the kids. We enjoyed the large master suite/bathroom. Ed provided a pack and play, strollers, high chair, booster and some games which were helpful for us traveling with three children. We definitely would like to come stay again.

Wonderful Experience

The condo is amazing! It was spotless with new appliances! The beds are very comfortable. All beach chairs, toys, beach towels were provided. Ed is an amazing landlord. He was helpful and generous. The unit is right on the beach with an amazing view of the ocean and pier. We are definitely returning

Amazing view! Great bang for your buck!

Good location, lots of food nearby. Close to other attractions. Parking spot is clutch. Plenty of space. Easy to deal with owners. Clean. View is amazing!!!

Anfitrión: Ed and Sandy Hornyak

Sandy and I moved back to the San Diego area in 1991 after I retired from 21 years in the navy. Sandy retired from registered nursing about five years ago, and I retired two years ago after teaching first grade for fifteen years. So we are really, really, retired now and enjoying every minute of it! We like to travel and try to get away several times a year. We developed the travel bug during my last years in the navy since we were stationed in Rota, Spain for four years and then in the U.S. Embassy in Lisbon, Portugal for almost five. But sometimes we just like to 'travel' to our beautiful condo by the ocean for a few days every once in awhile.

We've always dreamed of owning property by the water so we jumped at the chance to buy this place. Imperial Beach is so much quieter than San Diego's other beaches and that's what we like most about it.
