We had a wonderful stay at this very secluded home. The host provided very detailed directions, which were helpful and very accurate. Loved the solitude and the proximity to the beach and to redwoods.

What a great property! We brought our 18 year old out to Northern CA as a graduation gift so she could see the giant Redwoods. I wished we had booked an extra couple nights here because there were so many trails within such a short drive. The house was great, well appointed, clean and comfortable. 10/10 would stay here again.

Tucked away on a quiet, rarely traveled road, but still so close to the redwoods. It was a peaceful place to unwind after exploring the park, and we loved having a campfire in the evening and drinking coffee on the deck in the morning.It's an older house nestled in the woods with lots of character and a unique feel. Our boys enjoyed discovering the giant slugs, snail, and a red frog!We also really appreciated all the little touches that added up: coffee and honey, Tecnu wipes in case we needed them after hiking, games and movies, and firewood for the campfire. Those thoughtful details made the stay feel comfortable and well cared for.

The property was perfect for our family vacation to the Redwoods. The house is in a good location to be able to get to all of the parks with very easy access to hwy 101. But it is secluded and very private. We only saw people driving on the road to the house one of the days we were. We saw a banana slug and a black bear ant the house and the birds came and entertained us every morning. The house was clean and well appointed. I would absolutely stay there again and would stay at any of Angelica’s properties.

We absolutely loved the Secluded Forest Escape. The house is open, with tall ceilings and great views - it seems bigger than the photos. Everything is well-maintained, very clean, and well-provided. The location is indeed secluded, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We stayed there to explore the redwoods, which were a relatively short drive, both North and South, so the location worked-out great.

What a wonderful retreat - so private & quiet. And the stars at night! We knew about the gravel ascent from an earlier review, but we all felt it well worth it for the beautiful space, both inside and out. Angelica was a very friendly & responsive host. Glad we chose this as our first Redwood Forest vacation spot!
Morning tea while on the back deck was such a peaceful experience.
Such a cute house. I forgot to take any inside photos, but I know the listing has plenty!

Loved the house and property! It was worth the drive up the gravel road. Beds, kitchen and TV were great. Not many spices for cooking and no baggies - only issue at all which was pretty much nothing. Would definitely stay again!!

I’ve never been to Orick and the whole place is pretty economically depressed. Lots of trashy houses. Judging from what I could see from the road this has to be the nicest place in town. Very clean and very well furnished. Great communication from host. There’s no washer or dryer so plan accordingly.

We had an amazing stay here. Angelica was super responsive and accommodating before and during our stay. The space was perfect for our group (4 adults and 1 child) and acted as a perfect home base as we explored the Redwoods. There were ample linens and kitchen things (it’s the worst when there are only 4 plates and 1 extra blanket in a rental!). There were lots of small touches around that made this stay really comfortable but the firewood and marshmallow skewers for the fire pit and all the games made this such an enjoyable stay for our family. I’d absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, clean and comfortable place with easy access to all of the most incredible trees and coastlines this area has to offer.

This is outstanding! It's absolutely gorgeous here and is so much nicer then expected. The host is incredible. The property is remote and super well taken of. I give the rental 15 out of 10. We will stay again.

We loved our little magical forest stay!!! The location was superb -very secluded, remote, and beautiful. The house was as described. Everything we needed was there. If we are back in the area, we will definitely return.
