Lovely stay at Dos Hermanos
My family (spouse 14 year old) had a lovely stay at Sandy's place. We were there for almost 3 weeks. As others have mentioned, the home is impeccably clean. There were plenty of towels, washcloths, trash bags, and dish detergent for our stay. The kitchen is very well stocked. We cooked for most nights of our stay and had all the pans/cookware necessary. There is a great backyard space to eat outside.Before booking, as others likely do, I scoured reviews of many places. I wanted to mention some things about the home for future renters.Carmel is very hilly. We walked downtown every day - it's about a 15/20 minute leisurely stroll. Another 10 or so minutes from downtown to the beach. The walk into town is all downhill, so the walk back is all uphill. We never minded, it was good exercise. My teen walked back and forth multiple times per day with no complaints.Other reviews mentioned that the road is a dead spot for cell service. Perhaps towers have been updated, but my family has Verizon and we never experienced any cell service issues. We worked remotely for the time we were there. The wifi at the home is reliable, but we could have tapped into our phone hotspots if needed.The washing machine does dispense detergent automatically, but it is unscented. I have very sensitive skin (cannot do scented laundry, dryer sheets, etc) and never experienced any issues. Sandy is a great host - very responsive. We would absolutely rent this place in the future.
