Beautiful, panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Grandfather Mountain from this newly constructed, 3,000 square foot cabin. The New River and historical Todd are just two miles away for biking, rafting, and canoeing.

Main floor: Huge deck and screen-porch to enjoy the seasons. Master bedroom with Queen-size bed. Oversized master bath with Jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower. Huge living room with 22 foot tall pine vaulted ceiling and hard wood floors with gas fireplace. Fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, solid surface countertops and hard wood floors. Powder room and laundry also on main floor.

Upstairs: Second Master bedroom with a Queen-size bed and a private deck (Awesome Views). Full bathroom off of bedroom. Gorgeous loft with hardwood floors and ceiling and full-size sleeper futon.

Full daylight basement: Bedroom with queen bed and twin-size bunkbeds, and patio. Full bath. Family room with large sectional Queen sleeper sofa and patio. Two-way gas fireplace and large game room for playing pool, air hockey, ping pong or board games or put down a full-size air mattress for extra sleeping.

All the amenities of home plus gorgeous views and relaxation!

Host was very helpful and easy to work with. The house was clean and orderly. The kitchen had everything you would need for a great stay. The furniture was comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. Such a beautiful view. We spent more time enjoying the mountains than we did on excursions. Hope to return in the near future.

Anniversary

The photos don’t do justice…. It is so beautiful! This cabin was spotless, smelled fresh and clean, and is well appointed. It rained while we were there so the screened porch was perfect. Convenient to whatever you need/want to do. Can’t wait to come back!

Spectacular Views

The views cannot be beat. You can see grandfather mountain 20 miles away. The common areas are spacious and there is plenty of room to eat inside and out. Plenty of seating all about. Only negative is the steep driveway, but it's worth it

The View is Everything!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is very nice but the view is the ultimate. There were a few minor things that could make the home more user-friendly. A few lightbulbs were out. Also, labeling the many light switches would have been convenient. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend, and we will definitely be renting again!!!!

Friendship reunion

The view was absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed the house it was lots of room and kept pretty well. The game room downstairs was very fun. The only things we didn’t love were that we couldn’t be even a little bit loud outside due to worrying about a neighbor complaining. With a view and a porch like that, we didn’t want to leave but felt like we had to go inside. Another thing is that I felt as if the checkout process wasn’t completely upfront. The cleaning fee is very pricey and we had to do all the sheets and clean all of the dishes before checking out at 11 am. I feel like with a cleaning fee that expensive, the housekeeping should take care of that.

Didn’t want to leave!

Leaving was the worst part of our stay. Everything else was perfect! Perfect view, perfect amount of space and perfectly maintained. Very clean and had everything we needed for our getaway. We spent most of our time on the amazing deck that that was filled with mountain view’s and mountain breezes…oh and lots of laughter. It’s a truly amazing spot to enjoy all of God’s creation. We were blessed with seeing many bird types and the occasional deer, at the house and walking through the neighborhood. We even got to enjoy seeing the strawberry moon. It location is very close to West Jefferson. So we also headed out there for a little hike at the top of Mt Jefferson…excellent view there as well. Well worth the short hike. Excellent place for a family! We will have many great memories from our stay. I would recommend to anyone. We have stayed at many homes in this area and this is by far the best!

Exceeded expectations!

First off, the view was everything we had hoped it would be. Every time I am around the area I want to go go go…this time I MADE time to stay put and truly soak in the view. The house was beautiful and very clean, the beds were comfy, and the kids (ages 9, 9, 6, and 4) were beyond entertained between the air hockey and the large porch/swing. The only issue we had was kids fighting over the top bunk 😉 The location was wonderful, the roads were fully paved all the way to the house. Quiet neighborhood setting. Would absolutely recommend and would stay here again!

Great views, fun stay but very dirty

With all the rules they provide for cleaning, and trash you would expect the house to be clean but it wasn’t the case at all. The bathroom from upstairs we couldn’t even use because of how dirty it was, toilet wasn’t even flushed and the shower had some junk on it, even a coin was left in there so you know they didnt even try to clean it. We even doubted the cleanliness of the towels and sheets as some of them had hair on them. The kitchen cabinets were also dirty, and the pots and pans old and some even rusted, there were things in the pantry like popcorn that had expired in 2021… The house needs a lot of maintenance and I hope this is taken as constructive criticism because it has great potential. Positives: the views are beautiful, game room is very fun has pool, air hokey and other games, also great location.

I grew up here in Winston-Salem, NC and always loved the North Carolina mountains. My wife is from Phoenix, AZ and fell in love with the mountain area as well. I have a decking business in the Winston area and we built this cabin so we could get away to the mountains as often as possible with our 2 children and (quite often) their friends.

We built this cabin ourselves back in 2004 after we found this lot which has an absolutely phenomenal view! We knew immediately that we wanted to buy this lot and build a house where we could enjoy the view in a wonderful, cozy atmosphere.

"Getting away from it all" is the only way to describe the feeling we get up here. It is quiet and tranquil and you can feel the worries of the world ebbing away from you. Yet it is still close to many outdoor activities -- including golf, hiking, and the New River -- as well as restaurants and shopping, for when you feel a little more energetic.
