If you enjoy the beauty of rural Gettysburg but want to be conveniently located to the Historic Battlefield sites including Little Round Top our guest suite may be the perfect farm stay, getaway for you. With over 1,400 square feet, the nicely appointed guest suite offers comfortable sleeping accommodations for up to 6 people.
Our base rate is priced right for 2 guests. Then an affordable up-charge for each additional guest with a maximum of 6. Please no more than 6 guests! No charge for kids under 2.
Most visitors enjoy the scenic views, walks through the gardens or taking in a leisurely stroll after a day full of touring. Others come less for the history and more for outdoor activities like biking through the park and quite farm roads that surround over 5,000+ acres of the Gettysburg Military Park.
The main bedroom (see photos) has an oversize queen (firm) bed, the second bedroom has two twin beds and an additional queen size Murphy bed in a semi-private area (see photo) that is ideal for kids or the grand kids.
The inground saltwater pool has been installed and will open in May. Details and some pictures have been uploaded. Guests will be required to sign our general liability waiver prior to using the pool.
Owners, Jeff & Kathy Glahn live on site as they manage a kiwi vines and gardens. Visitors have a private entrance and outdoor sitting area to make your farm stay a perfect getaway.

GUEST ACCESS:
After the final payment has been received, you will be provided with the key access code to the unit. Parking is available for up to 2 cars.

POOL USE:
Our pool is available to use for reserved guests only. The pool is open typically mid-May and closed in late September depending on the weather. Pool hours will vary, but during the months of June-August the pool will be available from 9 am - 8 pm.
This is the owner's private pool and located directly behind the house.
-No lifeguard, swim at your own risk.
-Absolutely no diving.
-Towels and lounge chairs are available.
-No glass containers can be used in the pool area.
-All guests are required to sign a liability release prior to using the pool.

Hospitality at its finest

We had such a wonderful time. Fires out back to very close commute to city center. We were able to find everything we wanted and enjoyed the beautiful weather, landscape, and history. Would stay here again 10/10 times

Wonderful Property Excellent Location

This was our sixth annual Gettysburg getaway with sisters and friends. First time staying at the property and it was exactly as it was described. The location was amazing central to everything. Our hosts were fantastic. We got to sample lots of goodies. Homemade jams and jellies and salsa ….my favorite Would absolutely recommend and return!!!

Kiwi farm stay Gettysburg

My wife and I opted to stay at a Kiwi farm in Gettysburg for a 5-day vacation. We were met by our two gracious hosts (Kathy & Jeff). The farm is beautiful and very well kept. There is a Kiwi orchard on the farm. Kathy also grows fig trees and various berries and used the fruit to make homemade jams that are absolutely delicious. There is a nice salt water pool available for swimming. The VRBO rentals is located under the main house, and has two bedrooms with a Murphy bed. It is well equipped with many appliances and comforts of home (even includes a bumper pool table. It was very comfortable staying there, and located in a quiet spot just outside of tone (near Little Roundtop). I can say that this was among the best VRBO locations that I have used, and we thank Kathy and Jeff for being so friendly and accommodating. We will be going back again. I would highly recommend you to try this location on a Gettysburg visit!

A must stay!

Simply a "Must Stay" if you're in the Gettysburg area. Beautiful well maintained property with the most gracious host's one could ask for. Close enough to the battlefields & attractions but far enough away to enjoy the residence in restful peace & quiet. We are certainly looking forward to our visit! Thank you Jeff & Kathy.

Relaxing Getaway

We enjoyed our time in the beautifully decorated and spacious apartment! It was roomy for a family of four. The best part was coming back in the afternoon for a relaxing float in the pool taking in the beautiful views of the garden areas. The hosts are amazing, great people, we will be returning guests for sure!

Weekend getaway

Accommodations were perfect. This place was super cozy. The hosts kathy and Jeff were friendly and helpful. No need to bring anything but your clothes. Minutes from anything you want to do in town, but I could have just stayed there the whole time. I'll be back. Thank you!

Perfect!

Besides being perfectly located to Gettysburg attractions, the property is simply beautiful. Inside the suite was very clean with everything you needed. The property is full of flowers, birds, and peaceful. Bonus was the pool to unwind and cool off. Kathy and Jeff were great hosts! We hope to visit again :) If I could rate our stay higher than a 5 star rating, I would!

Re-enactment

We would be glad to re-enact this stay. The accommodations were clean, Kathy gave us a quick tour to orient us upon arrival. The fact that the home was outside of downtown made it peaceful and relaxing. The pool was a great bonus, were able to relax away a hot day on the battlefield. we would definitely come again.

Beautiful setting, relaxing and cozy accommodation

Very comfortable accommodations after a long drive up from NC and VA- we visited Gettysburg College for my son’s soccer ID camp and the Vrbo space was perfect for our needs after a long day of soccer in the heat. Beautiful scenery, amazing historical monuments, and the saltwater pool was fantastic! Hosts were extremely attentive and helpful! We highly recommend!!!

Peaceful and Pretty!

Cozy accommodations and great coffee! The owners made us feel very welcome and pointed out wifi and tv directions so we could watch the Knicks sadly lose to the Pacers lol! Beautiful surroundings where we saw deer, bunnies, the house cat and colorful birds. We're from NYC, so it was a nice change of scenery. 2 bedrooms, a pool table and fresh bread and homemade jams were ready for us. Very relaxing and enjoyable stay! Thanks Kathy & Jeff!

Relaxing stay!

Such a great place with a beautiful garden. Kathy was a great host, and fun to talk with about the garden. The apartment was very comfortable for our family of 4 adults. The location can’t be beat if you are sightseeing in Gettysburg.

Well-appointed accommodations

Wild Juniper Farm is an idyll conveniently close to Gettysburg but peacefully rural. Kathy is a wonderful hostess, the space is lovingly cared for, and the jams she makes are delicious. We had a great stay. One note-this is a lower level so there are steps that descend to the entry and you can, at times, hear footsteps from the floor above.

Beautiful and relaxing

If your looking for a beautiful quiet place to stay while in Gettysburg, the guest suite at Juniper Farms is perfect. It is perfect for a family and couples. It wasn’t far from any of the attractions. The owners are so nice and welcoming and make you feel very much at home. One of the best parts are the tasty jams and jelly that welcomes you with snacks and English muffins. A must purchase for home. And Boots the cat is friendly and welcoming. You want to take him home. Will definitely be back. Thank you

Our third time staying at Wild Juniper Farm. Kathy and Jeff are the best. Always feels like home. The weather did not allow us to try out the new pool, but it just gives us something else to look forward to during next year’s visit!

Keep coming back.

Kathy’s property is very cozy and in the perfect location, close to all the historic sites. Kathy is a wonderful host and it’s always lovely to have a nice chat with her and her husband who are always there to greet you and take care of any needs you may have. We will continue to stay on their property every time we come into town.

Great find in Gettysburg

My wife and I stayed here with our teenage daughter while enjoying Gettysburg and an easy day trip to Hershey. Town is less than 10 minutes away and the National Park visitor ceneter is about 5 min. We really enjoyed our stay and Jeff and Kathy were great hosts.

Owners, Jeff and Kathy Glahn relocated to Gettysburg in 1998 and soon after Kathy started a hardy kiwi vineyard on the land. In 2012 we decided to 'simplify' our life and built a home on the site. We are hooked on this location for it's rural beauty and easy access to the park, downtown Gettysburg and other visitor attractions. Guests are welcome to tour the gardens (when in season) and perhaps get a few garden tips from the head gardener herself.

This Hospital Road property was originally part of the George Bushman Farm which served as the Twelfth Corps Civil War Hospital. This area continues to remain somewhat rural with acres of gentle hills and less travel country roads perfect for biking.
To either start or end your day, enjoy relaxing outside and take in the view of Big and Little Roundtop.
