Welcome to the Bay View Suite at the Inn at Buckhorn Cove, our boutique Inn located in Little River, home to the Van Damme State Park, and only five minutes south of the historic village of Mendocino. Access to the picturesque Buckhorn Cove is just a short walk from your front door and lies just across the Pacific Coast Highway. Many other local treasures - beaches, trails, bays, marinas, museums, restaurants and gardens - are only a short distance by car.

Enjoy a beautiful ocean view right from your bed in our Bay Suite room! This King suite can sleep up to three people, with 1 king size bed and 1 twin size sofa bed located in a private alcove with deck access. The suite includes a gas fireplace, dining table for 3, TV with DirecTV satellite, Comcast WiFi and a snack area with coffee maker, microwave and mini-refrigerator. The prices shown are for double-occupancy. An additional guest is $30/night and dog fees (maximum of 2) are $25 per dog/per night and can be designated during the booking process.  We invite you to take in both the views and sounds of the ocean while playing lawn games, or relaxing with friends and family around the community fire pit. Each unique room at our Inn has its own private entrance and designated parking space, and all guests have access to our expansive front lawn and free EV Charger.

To both our first-time and wonderful repeat guests, we want to say “Thank you!” for considering our Inn for your next visit to Mendocino County. We were first introduced to Mendocino 10 years ago when visiting our dear friends who had moved from the Bay Area. Like so many others, we immediately fell in love with this unique community and its raw, magical landscapes. After each visit we felt renewed. Coming here was our perfect escape. We want our guests to have the perfect escape too. Over the past few years we have done a refresh of the rooms and grounds, enhanced the online & reservation experience, and taken feedback from our guests to provide more self-service amenities, an EV charging station, and an outdoor fire pit perfect for group gatherings under the stars.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

The Inn at Buckhorn Cove is named for the idyllic (and still somewhat secret) cove that is just a short walk across Highway 1 and north from our Inn. The cove is rather secluded because parking nearby is extremely limited for the public. However, our guests can enjoy the ocean, explore the tide pools, collect shells, rocks, or driftwood. If you see a heart shaped rock and are so inclined, bring it back to the Inn and add it to our heart-rock collection!

This area was aptly named because from an aerial view, the cove resembles the horns of a buck, and also why we have adopted this symbolism and theme throughout the Inn. We are fortunate to have an expansive front lawn that allows for ocean views, wave acoustics, and sunset enjoyment. Alongside our guests, a variety of local wildlife also frequents the space; keep an eye out for deer, herons, or egrets in the quiet early mornings.

The Inn was originally built in the 1940s. Over time, there have been additions and renovations to keep up with comforts our guests rely on for a relaxing get away!
