Yurt Glamping on the Quiet-side of Acadia National Park!

Our cozy Beech Mtn Yurt sleeps up to four guests and offers a unique blend of comfort and adventure. Yurts are circular, tent-like structures with a wood lattice frame and sturdy canvas exterior-an ancient design originating from the nomadic tribes of Asia. Today, modern yurts have become a popular vacation experience from coast to coast, offering a memorable alternative to traditional lodging.

Inside, you'll find a warm, inviting space thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials. The yurt features a comfortable queen bed and a queen-size sleeper sofa, making it ideal for couples, friends, or small families. The kitchenette is equipped with a ¾ refrigerator, apartment-size stove and oven, sink, and all necessary cookware and dishware for simple meal prep.

A full bathroom with a stand-up shower adds everyday comfort, while the efficient heat pump and air conditioning keep the space cozy year-round. All linens are provided for your convenience.

Whether you're exploring Acadia National Park, relaxing on Mount Desert Island, or simply looking to try something new, this yurt offers a peaceful and distinctive home base for your Maine adventure.

Very clean, well stocked with necessities and what wasn't in the yurt was available to borrow from the red barn. Great communication from the host who checked in on us multiple times throughout the stay! Great location just far enough out for peace and quiet but close enough to all the activities. We loved it! I would say the only downfall to us was the small refrigerator, we had to make ice trips each day to keep our cooler cold all week for what wouldn't fit in fridge

The Yurts were fantastic, comfortable and clean. It's a well designed and maintained property with awesome staff to help with your questions and concerns. The location is great with Acadia and bar harbor nearby. My wife and I would definitely recommend it for long or short stays.

A wonderful location and comfortable accommodations! It was our first time staying in a yurt and we loved it! The hosts had thought about everything we needed and it was a quiet stay among the pine trees.

This stay was so amazing! The yurt has everything you need and is so fun to stay in. The amenities are so nice and thoughtful. My only criticism was the bed is not that comfortable but the rest of the stay made up for that.

Peaceful vacay

Overall a wonderful place to relax. The yurts & grounds are lovely and the hosts are very nice. The wellness area was wonderful. I can't say enough good about this place.

We had an amazing visit to Acadia for the MDI half marathon. This was the perfect place to feel like a true getaway from city living, yet provide a lot of convenience and comfort for our whole family. The yurts are extremely clean and they thought of everything for appropriately stocking the kitchen and bathroom. Will definitely be coming back.

So magical

Perfect place to stay for a trip to Acadia NP! It had everything we needed and it was fun to have an entire glamping place to ourselves.

Great place!

The listing was accurate and location very convenient to visit Acadia National Park. It was so helpful to have the kitchen with our young kids, we also enjoy the board games from the common barn and even managed to join one of the yoga class.

Perfect spot

Our family of four had an amazing stay. Perfectly located to access all Acadia has to offer. The yurt has everything you need to unplug and enjoy nature. We look forward to another stay!

The Maine Vacation of our Dreams!

This truly was the perfect getaway. Our first (but not last) visit to Acadia and the Yurt was the best way to experience it! Aaron and Karen were so communicative and informative, checking in, and giving us info that we wanted about the area! We’ll be back for sure and can’t recommend Acadia Yurts enough!

Amazing experience!

Our stay at the Arcadia Yurts was amazing! The Yurt and grounds were beautiful, and Aaron and Karen were wonderful hosts, checking in to make sure we had everything we need. We'll definitely be returning for a longer stay!

Vacationland Treasure

Acadia Yurts offered an excellent location to many of Mt Desert natural attractions. The property was pristine condition. It is a great place to relax and enjoy Acadia .

Amazing place!

Amazing!

Staying at Acadia Yurts is a wonderful experience! You feel submerged in nature but are conveniently located to explore all of MDI. The hosts were wonderful to work with. We highly recommend!

We had the best time staying at Acadia Yurts and Wellness Center. The yurt we stayed in was extremely clean, spacious and comfortable. It was well equipped with all cookware and everything else you need of to make you feel “at home” while being away. The property itself is also beautiful and is located in a safe, quiet, peaceful neighborhood on the edge of Acadia’s West Side. The friendly hosts communicated clearly with us by means of the notes left in the yurt and their sporadic check-ins via text. We highly recommend this place and cannot wait to go back again in the future!

Acerca del anfitrión

Anfitrión: Karen Roper

Aaron is a Maine native. He was born and raised across the bridge in Trenton and grew up attending local Bar Harbor schools. He has worked in the restaurant industry for 20+ years beginning as a prep cook in high school then moving toward general manager. Aaron's favorite extracurricular activity is learning all he can about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. As often as he can, he trains locally and loves sharing this passion with others.

Karen is a transplant. Originally from Chicago she made her way to Maine in 2009 and fell in love immediately. In Acadia she enjoys hiking, trail running, yoga, and long walks on the carriage roads. Karen has been teaching yoga locally for over 6 years and now brings her practice to the Wellness Center (located on site at Acadia Yurts). Karen is also a licensed massage therapist and offers services onsite (pending availability).

As a couple we have done quite a bit of traveling and through that we have narrowed down the particular way we like to travel. The biggest factor for us is having a furnished kitchen in order to prepare health minded foods to nourish our bodies and support all our outdoor activities. The idea for Acadia Yurts has been brewing for quite some time. Friends of ours live off the grid in a yurt and we greatly appreciate the rustic, romantic feel of the yurt but wanted some of the comforts of home; running water, heat, electricity. From there Acadia Yurts was born. We truly hope you enjoy our property and your time here as much as we do.
