Situé à quelques minutes de certains des meilleurs surfeurs du monde à Playa Negra et les larges plages de Playa Junquillal, La Casa Margarita est situé dans un éco-quartier de 250 acres connu sous le nom La Pura Jungla. Avec seulement 35 sites d'accueil à tous, La Pura Jungla est un refuge étonnante de l'agitation de la vie »de tous les jours». Et La Casa Margarita, une cabane de trois chambres et deux salles de bain de plus de 4000 pieds carrés, offre les commodités de la maison dans un décor de jungle détendue où singes hurleurs et oiseaux exotiques sont vos voisins, et pourtant vous êtes assez proche de tous les services - restaurants, boutiques, activités et centres de villégiature - pour faire de votre séjour exactement ce que vous voulez.

Construit sur une plate-forme de l'acier et le béton qu'il met dans la cime des arbres, Casa Margarita est deux belles maisons sous un même toit, séparés par un caillebotis de verrière haute sur le sol de la jungle. La maison d'hôtes dispose de deux chambres et la suite de luxe dispose d'une chambre. Vous pouvez soit occuper la Guest House seul, ou les deux Guest House et Master Suite.

La Casa Margarita est idéalement situé, où la jungle rencontre l'océan Pacifique à Guanacaste, au Costa Rica. Il est environ dix miles de la plage de Tamarindo, et à quelques minutes de la nouvelle JW Marriott Resort à l'Hacienda Pinilla. Il est à moins de cinq miles de Playa Negra ou Playa Junquillal, et un peu plus de une heure de route de l'aéroport international de Liberia. Si vous venez de San Jose, vous pouvez voler à Tamarindo ou au Libéria et en voiture / taxi de là, ou vous pouvez conduire de San Jose en quatre heures environ.

Gardez à l'esprit, Casa Margarita n'est pas pour tout le monde. Notre maison spacieuse est refroidie par la brise de l'océan, il n'y a donc que de l'air conditionné dans les chambres d'amis. Le design ouvert, bien que parfaitement sûr, est décourageant pour certains. Cependant, beaucoup de nos invités sont retournés encore et encore à notre maison spéciale où la jungle rencontre l'océan.

Very unique and overall nice place to relax!

Close to everything you'd want and very nice views. Lots of ants and wasps everywhere, so that kinda got old...but the house layout is conducive to that. An oven cooking pan of any kind would be great, but otherwise great kitchen equipment. Had a great time and thanks to Ray for quick support on finding the place in the dark!!

Hi Don! We're glad you had a great time at Casa Margarita, and yes Ray is a gem! We're investigating a small artificial pond for insect abatement - they're just looking for water, according to Ray. That is the one downside of not having walls in the living and dining rooms, but the payoff is the amazing views of the ocean and mountains. As for the oven pans, we'll double-check to ensure we have an assortment - we just upgraded all the appliances last month, and pans were there last time we checked. Thanks

Amazing

To hear the howlers every evening and with morning coffee was amazing. The property is a described, except there is now AC in all the bedrooms. It was a fantastic listing I would do again and again.

1-2-2009 Our family of 5 spent a week at Casa Margarita and loved the beautiful setting and wonderful house. The teak floors are sensational under your feet and the house is as natural as the jungle setting: a concert of monkeys in the morning and wind and crickets at night.We loved the nearby Playa Negra beach, and hope to come back here some day and stay at Casa Margarita. We also thank Michael and Margaret for their invaluable help and for sharing their fabulous house with us.

Michael, I would again like to thank you for allowing my family the opportunity to stay at Casa Margarita. It is pretty remarkable that you were able to put such a beautiful, sprawling home out in the middle of the jungle. Even though we had our surprises, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Casa Margarita to anyone who wanted a certain level of luxury while still enjoying the complete jungle experience. The family of Howler Monkeys kept us fascinated for at least a full hour one morning, the nighttime storms/lightning shows were gorgeous and the "ant" show was something I would have guessed I could only experience on the discovery channel...Now if they could only finish getting those roads paved...during the wet season, as you suggested, a 4X4 is a must if you want to drive around Guanacaste. Remember to contact us for dinner when you return to the good ol' IE!!!

Amazing place.

This was an amazing place to stay. The pictures didn't do it justice. The drive from Liberia was easy, the nearby beaches were great. Our favorite was Playa Negra. He went to a few others too. The road to the jungle house was maintained very well, the people in the town Paraiso were very friendly and helpful. There is a seafood restaurant just on the way to Playa Juanquial (10 mins from house) that we had dinner twice which was good. The house is an open floor plan so the sounds, and night air are always around. Two things made this house for us. First was the monkeys which visited us, they hung out within 10 feet from us on a few occasions. Second was the owner of the preserve, Ray, he was helpful as could be. Any question he answered, any issue he handled, his wife made my daughter a birthday cake and he gave us a tour of his hotel/home, something that you have to see to believe. One of a kind. Can't recommend this enough.

nature experience with convenience and great view

impressive house with large open spaces, well equipped and very helpful local support. Off the major tourist routes you still have shopping, bars, restaurants, and several of the beautiful beaches in a few minutes driving distance; "where the pavement ends" (quote of our local contact Ray, thanks!) a 4-wheel drive is certainly helpful. During dry season insects were easily held at a safe distance with simple repellents and an eletric UV-lantern (which is available) to enjoy the evenings in a refreshing breeze on the terraces, or the most impressive views from the patios of both parts of the house over the treetops and out on the ocean or the near-by wildlife. We would certainly come back if we get the chance (2 families with grown-up kids, party of 9 pers)

Pura Jungla awesome experience!

Thank you Michael and Margarita for an awesome experience at the Casa Margarita! All seven of us were in awe when we got to the house. Beautiful views, sounds and relaxing. Nothing but quiet neighbors and loud monkeys. We loved the monkeys, not so much the bugs. The winds were incredible, shook us up the first day, thought we were having a hurricane, but we realized this is Costa Rica in the mountains. We cooked everyday from the house and were grateful for all the pots, dishes, etc. to make it easier. The days were very busy with lots of activities. We did the Rincon Zipline, that was the best. We spent time at the beaches. We got to release little hatchling turtles on the beach, what an experience. We hiked Denaria Natl. Park which we recommend. We met fantastic friends there in 27th of April. People in Costa Rica were very friendly and we learned alot of Spanish which we hope to keep using. The kids did not want to leave. We had so much fun! We would recommend Costa Rica everyday! Our Toyota 4 wheel drive was perfect! I don't know what we would have done without it. It's a must have for the traveling we did and the roads in and out around Pura Jungla. We would definitely recommend your home. Ray and Deanira were there to meet us and help us with anything we needed. They checked in on us and made sure things were good. Thank you Ray! fantastic decompression vacation getaway

woke up to the low rumble of the Howler monkeys every morning, warm Pacific ocean breezes mingling with the excellent Costa Rican coffee in my morning cup, then a quick drive to surf-wade on the almost completely deserted miles-long white sand beaches. Then back for a leisurely breakfast, a morning spent in the hammock chairs reading, an afternoon nap, wake up to enjoy the gorgeous sunset over the Pacific at 5:30 pm, then time for dinner at one of the many excellent local restaurants. Skip the surfer-tourist ghetto of Tamarindo and seek out this amazing treehouse just a mile of so from Paraiso. Much to do locally, from a great and safe zip-line at Pura Aventura (ask Ray to set you up), a short jaunt to Santa Cruz for groceries and sight-seeing, or a day trip to Guaitil for a shopping trip to pick up some of their Chorotego-style pottery. 'Can't wait to return.

So disappointed...

I guess I don't get it.... I'm trying to be objective as the fan in the master suite struggles to cool this space. Ok here goes... * Yes you had better get a 4x4 to access the property * make sure the cell phone you are sent has a SIM card * make sure the property manager hasn't turned his cell phone off as you desperately try to call him to make sure he is ready for your arrival * Michael telling me "welcome to Costa Rica" when I call you from the car rental to ask why the cell phone has no SIM card did not help. * I've got two weeks to endure......I sure hope the property manager can get the AC unit installed in the master suite. I hope this vacation experience improves.

Jeff, We're sorry your experience at Casa Margarita isn't what you expected. The jungle (and non-air conditioned bedrooms) aren't for everyone, but are a large part of what makes our home unique. I was more than happy to refund a substantial portion of your rental fee when you decided you weren't going to stay, and I sincerely hope you had a good time during the rest of your stay in Costa Rica. Also, I make my GPS and unlocked cell phone available to every guest who wants to use them; occasionally they use up the balance on the refillable SIM card (which are widely available throughout the country as you learned). or remove the card and use it in their own phone. It is also unfortunate that brush fires had recently swept through the area. Hoping your future visits are more to your liking, Michael & Margarita

If you are looking for a ...

If you are looking for a truly unique Costa Rica experience, then you have come to the right place. The tree-house is absolutely gorgeous and will make you feel like you are in a “home-away-from-home”! It has all the luxories of home, coupled with an appreciation for the simple things in life; amaziing sunsets, great view of the ocean off in the distance, sitting up high in the jungle and being able to see the Howler Monkeys. Not to mention being in fairly close proximity to the airport, restauants, beachs and shopping!! I have stayed there twice now and look forward to many more trips there. Thank you M & M for creating a paradise that I can get to in less then four hours. La Pura Vida!!

"I just feel like everyon...

"I just feel like everyone tries to do something different, but you always wind up doing the same damn thing." - DiCaprio from the movie The Beach. This is impossible at Casa Margarita...providing open jungle living in an executive style tree house. Skip the resorts. Skip Mexico (makes you sick) and Hawaii (makes you sick of paying). Shop for groceries in the local store, meet the people, speak broken spanish, surf the best waves in the world. Drink $1.50 beers at Lola's on the beach. Get your 4x4, bring the bug spray, suntan lotion and some books and pick the road less traveled. Get there before the dirt roads become paved and the resorts come in!

We (Margarita and Michael) have traveled extensively with our kids, and currently reside in the California wine country. We have both worked in the high-tech world and are now raising a college-aged daughter. We all love to travel and spend as much time as possible at Casa Margarita.

We fell in love with Costa Rica the first time we visited, back in 1994. On our second trip in 1995 we were introduced to Ray who planted tens of thousands of trees to create the eco-community (Pura Jungla) where we eventually built our dream home. We soon decided to purchase a two acre lot with stunning views of the Pacific. In 2005 we began construction of Casa Margarita with the assistance of Ray, our dear late architect Edgar Cruz, and a wonderful team of contractors. The result wildly exceeded our expectations, and now we have a wonderful escape to share with all of you.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

We are located in an amazing 250 acre eco-preserve filled with nature's bounty. Rare trees, exotic birds, howler monkey families and iguanas are our neighbors in paradise. We are just five minutes from dining, surfing, ocean beaches and more, and over the years we have developed friendships with many neighbors and business owners. It truly has become our second home.

We love to sit in the kitchen having breakfast and watch the monkeys come by on their way to feeding - I don't know who is more curious, us or them.
