The perfect location to explore the Cotswolds

We had a great stay at Laurel Tree cottage, the house was so spacious for a gathering with friends. We especially loved the kitchen/dining area. We loved exploring the local walks around Guiting power and the cottage is just the perfect base to explore.

Gorgeous house in a beautiful setting

Gorgeous house in a beautiful setting. Ideal for family groups or gatherings of friends. Lovely light kitchen with big table to socialise around, plus cosy lounge and 6 comfy bedrooms. Quiet position in the village with large garden to relax in - we didn't want to leave !

A wonderfully warm and homely house- beautifully decorated and fitted out. It was perfect for our family of 4 couples and 3 children. Great garden and play equipment. We had a lovely time.

A lovely stay

We stayed for my mum’s 70th birthday and had a lovely time. Shona and Kevin were really helpful with anything we needed. The garden was superb and great fun for our little ones. The house had plenty of space for all 9 of us (including children). The bedrooms were lovely and the village was just perfect with 2 coffee stops 2 mins away, a lovely pub and seconds from a beautiful walk through the valley. What more could you ask for.

Great stay in cosy house

Great stay at Laurel Tree Cottage. Beautiful house and garden, with everything as expected. Only suggestion for improvement is to be a bit more generous with kitchen staples - e.g. three dishwasher tablets, two bin bags, two kitchen towels feels/is scarce for a 3-night stay with 11 adults (we cooked in all the time expect for a wonderful pub lunch at the Hollow Bottom, highly recommend it!

Weekend break with friends

I would recommend staying in the village of Guiting Power . It has good pubs , shops and lovely walks from the door of the house . The house was very comfortable and worked well for 6 friends having their own room each . The kitchen / diner / sitting area was perfect for our needs. We had plenty of hot water and the house was cosy . There was lovely welcome pack too .

Second year at Laurel Tree Cottage

This is an ideal property for us. It is within 10 minutes’ maximum walk of the music festival site, and is located in a peaceful lane with plenty of walks nearby. The owner and the local representative are very good at getting in touch and replacing items which have disappeared! A few more hooks on the backs of doors would be useful for hanging jackets and bathrobes, as would a couple of deckchairs so one could sit in the garden.

Family celebration

A beautiful house in a lovely village with its pubs and small shop/cafe. It catered for all our needs, adults and children alike. Spacious and comfortable with access to footpaths and other villages and towns. In summer the garden would be ideal for family and friends gatherings. A most enjoyable week. Thank you.

Perfect for attending Guiting Music Festival

We wanted somewhere in the village as we attended concerts every evening and it was convenient to be able to walk back. The two pubs are very different but both serve good food and beer, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The cottage is in a quiet lane with little passing traffic, and there are good walks from the doorstep.

lovely venue in good location

worth reading the reviews before arriving - we did, and brought our own towels & cooking ingredients as no food/condiments/drinks on site & tiny towels! Received a lovely goodie bag with eggs, bread etc from the local farm shop. House is comfortable & warm thanks to Aga.

Wonderful stay in a wonderful home in a wonderful place

A simply stunning break. A lovely property which I can't fault, in a stunning part of the country. It was idyllic. Perfectly positioned to explore further afield but equally we enjoyed a few days just in the beautiful gardens and house. Guiting Power is a 2 minute walk away and has all you need for slotting in to village life. Great communication with Kevin the property manager who even allowed us to arrive earlier. Would definitely recommend

Idyllically located, beautiful and well kept.

The house is located in a beautiful village with some essential amenities with the pub providing a cosy environment. The post office and the village shop had some lovely delicatessens and all managed by some lovely people. The house itself was very well kept and everything worked! Very pretty on the outside and tastefully decorated on the inside. The garden was maintained immaculately and the apples on the tree were abundant giving it a very homely feel.

Bliss in the Cotswolds

This house was absolutely perfect for a family gathering of adults with dogs. The house was very comfortable and well provisioned. Walks from the house were great with the dogs. The pub in the village was welcoming and the Post Office shop/cafe and farm shop provided some extra treats! With the location only ten minutes from Stow, we had everything we needed close by. The Fox at Oddington was an excellent venue for supper. A welcome and information book would have been useful. The week was a huge success so thank you!
