Great property in a lovely village with two fantastic pubs and a well stocked village shop, all a short walk away. We ate at the Crown Hotel one evening - they were very welcoming, great service and lovely food. The house itself has lots of space for everyone to spread out with the two lounges and the two bonus rooms upstairs which are particularly suited to teenagers. The house was comfortable and well equipped for us all. Only slight gripe was the oven wasn't cleaned after the previous guests and one of the bins hadn't been emptied, but that didn't stop us having a lovely long weekend.

Overall the house had everything we needed and host was very responsive to our queries. Issues we raised were radiator in one bedroom not working, the washing machine when turned on fused the electrics and a blood stain on one of the duvet covers. The house is in a lovely village.

Good place for some days with groups up to 16 people

We enjoyed the surrounding, good equipped kitchen and the lovely living room. However, the oven was very dirty and some rooms would need some renovation. Nevertheless, it is a good place to be and we will return if possible.

Great group holiday house

This house was exactly what we had wanted…clean, comfortable, very sociable but enough space not to be on top of each other. The fantastic garden was perfect for the kids with an incredible view, and the local area was gorgeous…thank you!

Spacious home

The house was amazing. Perfect for a big group with different aged kids - the garden was ideal! Three bedrooms having en suites was brilliant two, and two lounge areas was a bonus. We took kids ages 6 months to 5 years and it was a really safe house for all ages too. The house was clean and well equipped, and Blockley village is lovely to have on the doorstep. Would definitely come back.

Wonderful stay

Wonderful long weekend stay for my mum’s 80th birthday. Everything was perfect. The house has a great layout and comfortably accommodated us all. The garden and surrounding areas are beautiful and It even had a rounders set for us to enjoy in the garden. I would definitely recommend this property it has everything you need and more.

Perfect house for our family gathering

We loved our stay at Landgate House and think the photos don't do it justice and it's nicer in real life. We had a gorgeous sunny weekend and the views from the dining room / breakfast room are to die for! This was the absolute perfect house for a cross generation family gather with grand parents having a room on the ground floor with no stairs to navigate, the teens upstairs in the loft space and the rest of the family downstairs. We have a fabulous time and contrary to some reviews which made us hesitate when booking, the house was spotless! The only little bit of feedback is maybe about the electric hob that is extremely slow to heat up and cook so morning pancake making was a longer process than usual. Maybe consider upgrading it for the future.

Family Get Together

Three generations of our family had a great time. Landgate House was just right for space ,comfort and situation. It was spacious and well-equipped and the large garden was a bonus for the children and the dog.

Highly recommend!

Booked this for a weekend for a family reunion with 14 of us. There was plenty of room for everyone, a great garden area and the house was exceptionally clean, a great experience at a very fair price. I would highly recommend to any large family booking a short holiday or weekend trip. Only slight issue was TV in the cinema room not fully working but if you bring a laptop to connect to, it would be fine.

A Great House For a Family Break

Landgate House is wonderful, with a fabulous garden in a beautiful location. Good sized bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen for our family group with more than enough space for us to get together for playing games. Plenty to see in the local area as well as further afield. A great introduction to the beautiful Cotswolds.

Anniversary family get together

The property was as described the view was stunning there were plenty of places to visit covering the childreng with us,from the youngest at 2 years to the teenagers. Only flaw was the main bedroom en-suite shower having missing tiles and not usable.

We had a fantastic stay at this incredibly spacious house, which was perfect for a surprise birthday weekend for my partner and her friends. The house is huge, with plenty of room in every bedroom, making it ideal for a group. Everything was spotlessly clean and very well equipped, so we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.We especially loved the cosy fire in the lounge and the wonderfully powerful showers — both were real highlights after a day out exploring.The garden is also really impressive. Although we didn’t get to enjoy it as much as we would have liked due to the lack of sunshine, it was still beautiful to look out over and clearly a lovely space in better weather.Blockley itself is a truly beautiful village and feels much more peaceful than some of the busier Cotswolds spots that attract large crowds. It’s well served locally, and we had a great dinner one evening at the Great Western pub. There are also fantastic running routes and walks right from the village, with some stunning countryside nearby.We would absolutely recommend staying here and would happily come back again.
