Tom was the best host. Always available when needed, helpful with suggestions and a very nice person. Loved the space. Well-appointed and clean. The backyard was great, especially to relax in the evening with a glass of wine. Between Tom as our host and the ability to have a back yard, it made our visit feel like we lived in Florence for a few magical days.

Just the BEST!! Our host Tom took such wonderful care of us- made sure we ate at the best restaurants & did all we had time for during our 3 day stay (way too short to do it all!) The home was so comfortable for our family of 5 - parents & 20 year old kids. Such a treat to relax in the garden after lots of walking. Oh the jasmine in bloom & smelled so good. Stay here if you want a great authentic Florentine experience - fabulous host, home & neighborhood. A wonderful escape from the tourist crowds. Stay here & make happy memories to take home!

Our stay in Tom’s home was truly one of the highlights of our stay in Florence. The apartment is impeccably decorated, beautifully maintained, and feels every bit as special in person as it looks. The location is fantastic—just steps from Piazzale Michelangelo, in a charming neighborhood filled with wonderful restaurants, cafés, and independent shops, yet blissfully removed from the crowded streets of the city center. After full days exploring Florence, coming back each evening felt like returning to our own peaceful private oasis.As so many other reviewers have shared, what makes this apartment truly exceptional is Tom himself. He personally attends to every detail and goes far beyond what you would ever expect from a host. He made restaurant reservations for us when we arrived amd the spot was incredible. We never would have discovered on our own. He arranged taxis whenever we needed them, and was always available with thoughtful advice.Even his welcome gift was memorable: beautiful leather luggage tags!Tom has created something very special here. The combination of the beautiful apartment, peaceful setting, wonderful neighborhood, and his extraordinary hospitality made our stay unforgettable. We went to Florence for a girls week, Tom’s was the most magical experience we could have imagined. First the place and then Tom. Most unique beautiful sanctuary. The details to design and the culture action of his home really transport you. The quality from the sheets to the decor, make you feel so at home, but elevated. The pictures do not do it justice.And then there is the garden, in the middle of Florence you have your own private oasis, so serene, to escape the hustle bustle . Impeccably landscaped yet immersive. Now for Tom. We have never met a man so generous with his time and care for his residents. The moment we met, his enthusiasm and sincerity are heart warming. He truly cares about you. You immediately become his friend. He takes you under his wings and introduces to Florence in a very unprecedented way. In a time of world issues he gives you faith back in humanity. People like him really exist. Thank you Tom. We have traveled extensively and never felt so at home. This is a beautiful apartment with a rooftop garden and seating area. The furnishings and artwork are first-rate, with framed Ferragamo scarves adorning the walls. The kitchen is well stocked. AC worked well. Water pressure and showers were very good. The best part of our stay was the owner, Tommaso. He was the most gracious and helpful owner we have ever worked with. He gave us numerous suggestions and has a beautifully written and complete guide to Florence for his guests. In addition, we would randomly pepper him with questions throughout the day regarding places to eat or visit, and he would respond immediately. His check-in is outstanding, and he attended to us as we departed. Just a heads-up: this is a walk-up; there is no lift. That being said, I would highly recommend this property in Florence.

Tom’s home was our favorite vacation rental ever. First, Tom was invested in ensuring any questions were answered and our trip went smoothly. He met us at check-in and educated us on things to do and how to navigate Florence. Second, his home was elegantly appointed with furnishings and modern fixtures and appliances including air conditioning and a washer/dryer. The private garden space was the perfect retreat to start and finish our day. Last, the location was ideal. Close enough to walk to all we wanted to see in Florence, yet nestled in a quiet neighborhood setting with a coffee shop and cafe a few doors down. Tom met us again at checkout and arranged transportation for us. If we find ourselves in Florence again, we will 100% stay here. Our experience was 10 out of 10!

Family vacation

Tomas is an enthusiastic, helpfully and accommodating host. Property is an easy walk to Florence sites, with plenty of food choices just down the street from the apartment. Minimal street noise at night.

This property simply was perfect. Spacious, well appointed with interesting art and furniture. A two story lovely garden that backs up to the ancient city wall. Location is great - short walks into city center yet not too chaotic. The host, Tom, was amazingly hands-on, engaging, helpful and communicative. Able to help without recommendations for just about anything. Can’t say anything negative - you do need to be able to do stairs.

Perfect spot In Florence

Accommodations were as described. Lovely property, great neighbourhood with terrific shops at your door step. The host was very attentive and provided white glove service. The location was close to all the action but without the noise and congestion. Would highly recommend.

Frankly this is one of the best experiences I have ever had with a VRBO and I have done over 20 in the states and abroad. Tommaso was remarkable welcoming us and saying goodbye. His house is well appointed with everything you could want in the kitchen, bath and living area. He provides recommended restaurants, sightseeing opportunities along with maps to all. The outdoor space in the middle of Florence in a gem. The San Niccolò district is wonderful with plenty of restaurants, shopping and entertainment close. Leave your worries behind and turn yourself over to Tommaso and his hospitality!

Words can’t begin to explain how wonderful of an experience my family had in this beautiful home. Tom is an amazing host and person. On my birthday, Tom went out of his way to leave his favorite snacks at the door for me. My expectations were exceeded beyond belief. We spent all of the time we could enjoying the gorgeous garden and serene home. It was hard to leave! Would not hesitate to book again.

Perfect but suitable only if you are ok with stairs

If you are ok with stairs (four flights of stairs to get from street into the apartment), you need to stop looking and book immediately - it is the perfect stay.The apartment is beautiful and exactly as shown - in a residential location just outside of the busy/noisy downtown, but only a 10min walk to downtown and a mere 2 min walk to Piazzale Michelangelo.The host (Tom) is even better than the already ideal place - he goes out of his way to help and pamper you but is not overbearing - just ideal.Don't overthink it - just book - highly recommend.

Absolutely Perfect Florence Stay

I cannot say enough good things about this apartment and Tommaso, the host. He greeted us when we arrived and meet us to say goodbye. The space was perfect for 3. Well appointed kitchen. And the gem of the property is the outdoor garden. Walking distance to many nice restaurants or to the main section of the city. There is also a bus stop within 1 block. One of the best VRBO stays I've ever experienced.

Absolutely loved everything, beautiful, spacious, really made our stay in Florence. Amazing owner!

We loved everything about our stay in Florence. Tommaso’s house is absolutely beautiful, spacious, and clean - with incredible art throughout and an outdoor garden to relax. Tommaso was such a wonderful host - he recommended restaurants and helped us make reservations, left us wine, gave us free tickets to a museum, and was very flexible for our arrival and departure times. Our stay here was the best of our trip to Italy and made our visit to Florence our favorite of our trip. The location requires some walking (like everywhere in Italy) but nothing too far. It’s within about a mile walk of most sites. Highly recommend Tommaso’s house.

Look no further!

Wow! We absolutely loved this very spacious, clean and modern apartment in Florence. The rooftop garden is truly special. Our host, Tommaso was exactly as you read in all the reviews. Super welcoming, responsive and helpful along the way. In a pinch, he helped us line up travel to Cinque Terre because the train workers happened to be on strike that day. Walk to everything Florence from this spot. Can't recommend this apartment enough if you want an authentic Florence getaway.
