I will DEFINITELY be back. Great 1 bedroom cottage. Very private. Perfect location. Everything you need is on the island within a few miles. The courtyard is beautiful for morning coffee and afternoon happy hour. You can be in downtown St Augustine within 10-15 minutes. Uber Eats delivers to the cottage!! The beach is a short walk down a well established path. There’s an outside shower to rinse off the salt and sand!! If you’re looking for the ultimate relaxing vacation, this is the place!

Chilling on the beach

The unit is very close to the beach so we spent a lot of time either walking in the beach or in our beach chairs with an umbrella. Lots of great nature walks nearby

We were only in town for a few days, but the little cottage was perfect. The pictures don’t do it justice. Cottage is well equipped with plenty of comfortable furniture, good Wi-Fi, a well equipped kitchen that is a little small, but works perfectly, plenty of TVs and all the gear you need for the beach, which is just a few steps away. Great sunrises! Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Perfect stay, in every way!

"Just Steps from Vilano Beach" was an absolutely wonderful cottage for my husband's and my much needed vacation. The cottage is quaint, extremely clean, tastefully decorated and appointed with everything you would need for a delightful stay on Vilano Beach, and its location cannot be beaten (literally steps from the beach and a very short drive to Historic Downtown Saint Augustine). We cannot recommend "Just Steps from Vilano Beach" enough... and will return to stay there whenever we come to Saint Augustine. A

Secluded cottage by the sea

It was exactly like we thought it would be from the description and prior reviews. Quaint, private and peaceful. Very short walk to the beach without having to cross the busy road. An unexpected bonus of fruit and bread welcomed us, and was much appreciated. We’d definitely stay again. I only wish I could give our airline and rental car company a good review.

Wonderful beach retreat!

I expected something much smaller, but this cottage was very comfortable and spacious - but still cozy! Truly a short half-block walk to the beach, short and very scenic drive to all the St. Augustine attractions. I could easily move in tomorrow and live here forever!

Scott and one of his partners who resides near the property were the best of hosts, taking care of us when we initially had problems accessing WiFi. Scott’s directions were perfect, allowing us to easily find the cottage after dark when we arrived. Check-in and check-out were simple and just as described. The cottage was perfect for the two of us. It is tastefully decorated with a lovely layout. Both kitchen and bath were well-stocked with everything needed. The cottage is tucked away with a lovely, lush courtyard with ample seating and tables. Our only disappointment was our distance from the beach being more than a few steps and the view completely obscured by the large, beachfront residence that sits between the group of cottages and the dunes. Other than this, all was perfect! Beach access is easy and sunrises gorgeous! The cottage is walking distance from the bridge to the mainland. Some excellent restaurants are a short drive down Hwy A1A. The St. Augustine Lighthouse is visible with a short beach walk, and historic St. Augustine is also just back across the bridge to the mainland. For those who want to experience a lovely beach stay with easy availability to historic St. Augustine, the cottage is perfect! Also, for those wanting to vacation with extended family or friends, the cottage is nestled closely with two other cottages. Even so, we did not hear noise from other guests. We would stay again and recommend the cottage highly.

Very well decorated and comfortable cottage. All of our needs were met. Would recommend it for adults wanting privacy. The beach was very close but kind of hard to get to. Overall really enjoyed our stay, would come back again.

Perfect vacation

The pictures on VRBO do not do this place justice. It's really cute beach cottage, very close to the beach access. The bed was a bit hard, but not too bad. The kitchen was small but really nice. We had a really awesome time and we definitely will be thinking about another stay here next year
