Vous cherchez Ă  vous Ă©loigner de la vie trĂ©pidante? Ce confortable 2 Ă©tages, 2 chambres, 1. 5 salles de bain, chalet en bois rond rustique, se trouve sur 4 hectares nichĂ© contre les collines juste Ă  l'extĂ©rieur de la forĂȘt nationale Hoosier de l'Indiana dans la vallĂ©e de la riviĂšre Ohio. DĂ©tendez-vous sur le pont ou regardez le feu danser dans le foyer extĂ©rieur. Calme, tranquille, SÉRÉNITÉ!

Notre chalet se trouve juste Ă  l'extĂ©rieur de la forĂȘt nationale de Hoosier qui offre 84 miles de sentiers de randonnĂ©e dont 50 miles ouverts aux chevaux. De la cabine, vous ĂȘtes Ă  moins de 10 minutes Ă  pied du dĂ©but du sentier Mogan Ridge East et Ă  quelques minutes en voiture de nombreux autres.

Si vous aimez la pĂȘche et la navigation de plaisance, vous ĂȘtes Ă  5 minutes de la rampe de mise Ă  l'eau de Derby vous donnant un accĂšs facile Ă  la riviĂšre Ohio. Les poissons les plus couramment pĂȘchĂ©s sont le crapet arlequin, le redear, l'achigan et le poisson-chat.

Il y a un petit parc situé à Derby à quelques minutes en bas de la route. Il y a des terrains de basket, des balançoires, des toboggans, un refuge et une belle vue pour les parents tout en regardant les enfants jouer.

Awesome getaway!

Cozy, beautiful and a very CLEAN cabin stocked with all the amenities! The bed was super comfortable. Loved the hot tub. The owners were very responsive and helpful with our stay!! Would definitely stay here again!

The cabin was great we enjoyed our stay but the guy I spoke with failed to mention that it had close neighbors. Other than that it was amazing and we loved it.

Enjoyed hiking, beautiful cabin

Very nice cabin with well-equipped kitchen. A few other cabins in the vicinity and a convenience store nearby. Other than that, nature. We enjoyed hiking, the hot tub, and the whirlpool bath. There is no WiFi but a collection of DVDs and even VHS, but we didn’t get around to watching any. Lots of games as well.

The cabin was beautiful and comfortable to stay in. We wish, that for the price, there was wifi available. We were told upon booking that local channels were available but found out during our stay that they were not. Also, the firewood that was provided was sections of tree logs that were not split into firewood and were difficult to handle and light. If we hadn’t scavenged for smaller branches in the woods we would not have had a camp fire at all. If you plan to use the fire pit, would highly advise bringing firewood with you.Outside of those things, we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again.

Artist Getaway

I had an amazing retreat at the Derby Serenity! It was a perfect place for me to enjoy an “Artist Getaway.” I brought a drop cloth, easel and canvas and reconnected with my inner creative self. Not only was it peaceful, but it was immaculate! I’ve never stayed anywhere that was this clean! It was such a relief after several “not so clean” experiences at other rentals. The cabin was well stocked - great cook and table ware. Lots of games and movies. The hot tub was WONDERFUL. I especially liked, that although rural, I didn’t feel completely isolated. Perfect getaway if you want to disconnect from the outside. I’ll definitely refer and revisit! Thank you!

Peaceful getaway

My husband and needed a much needed time to regroup and have some fun. This is our second visit to the cabin. We love the area and will be returning. Good base for attractions. Like Santa Clause and St Minerad and checking out the caves and great place to unwind Leavenworth general store check it out comfy beds we will be back

Amazing cabin,Spotless and well equipped

The cabin was cozy and well equipped in beautiful surroundings. Out of many stays in many places this has been our favorite. So much thought has been given to the comfort of the guest. Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

My stepfather, Greg Etienne, was very well known in the Southern Indiana community. A logger by day and a coon hunter by night and a friend to everyone. While logging, Greg would come across old barns that had these hand hued logs as their structure. Some of these logs date back to the 1800s. He would carefully dismantle them, transport them, and reconstruct them into the cabins you see around the Derby area today. The popularity of these cabins quickly became a family hobby. Our family built many cabins and two of them can be seen from the front deck of this one. Since then, Greg has passed due to a tumor he developed in his brain. 16 years after we built this cabin and many changes in ownership, my fiancee’ and I had the opportunity to purchase it in November 2017. Needless to say there is a lot of sentimental value and pride that comes with it. We frequently stay, but also rent it out to share the beauty, tranquility, and dreams of my stepfather with everyone that is looking for some rest and relaxation. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
