Le «nid d'Heron" est de 4 étages. Aucune mesure à l'étage principal, qui se compose d'une cuisine entièrement équipée, table 8 personne salle à manger, salle de bain complète (un des trois), Salon avec une taille canapé-lit queen, plus une grande chambre avec un grand lit double. Il y a un seul déploiement lit dans le dressing. Descendre les escaliers à la promenade sur sous-sol, il y a une chambre avec 2 lits jumeaux, une salle de bain complète, laveuse et sécheuse, salle de télévision avec deux lits queen Canapés futon taille, mini-réfrigérateur et un bar. La télévision a DVD. La chambre se promène sur un patio en béton avec votre Hot Tub 2 étapes sur votre porte. Le charbon de bois / bois grill est ici, avec votre feu de camp, à droite le long du bord de la rivière! Un escalier mène à votre quai de bateau, qui peut accueillir 2 bateaux, pas de branchements électriques. Jusqu'à au 3ème étage est le grenier, qui a une vue dégagée de la rivière. Plein bain et dressing. Jusqu'à l'escalier en colimaçon qui vous amène dans la coupole, notre 4ème histoire. Il y a un pli vers le bas canapé futon, notre 3ème gigogne. Votre terrasse couverte dispose d'un gril à gaz avec du gaz lp. Lits dormir 6, tirez canapés 6. "Nid d'Heron" 10-12 personnes. Tout est fourni, sauf votre nourriture et boisson. WEEKDAYS: Lundi - jeudi 220 $. 00 par nuit pour les deux 1ers personnes. Les personnes supplémentaires sont de 12 $. 50 chacune, par nuit. WEEKENDS: vendredi - dimanche 230 $. 00 par nuit pour les deux 1ers personnes. Les personnes supplémentaires sont de 12 $. 50 par nuit. VACANCES PRINCIPALES: 245 $. 00 par nuit pour les deux 1ers personnes. Les personnes supplémentaires sont de 15 $. 00 chacun, par nuit. Il y a un minimum de 3 nuits EN VACANCES PRINCIPALES. Great Vacation

We love our stay there we were there for I days and they were well worth it! Michelle and Bud are great if we ever had any questions they were there to answer ever question and even told us places we can go!

It was well worth the money and had just a wonderful time with our family. Michelle and Bud are very accommodating and if we ever had any problems or anything they were right there everyrime. It's a beautiful place to be. My family and I loved being there and really didn't want to leave!

Great except for the smells.

Overall the property is an older cabin on the lake. It was clean but not detailed clean. There are carpenter bees all over the porch but they don't bother you too much. The biggest issue is the basement and plumbing. The basement smells like mold. And then also in the basement the p traps become dry and you get sewer gas soooo bad. We filled the shower up just like the note in the bathroom said but it constantly became dry and smelled. If you have issues like this I feel it should be in the listing. If the smell issue wasn't there it wasn't a bad little spot.

Not as expected

They double booked our cabin. I was asked to move to a different smaller cabin. They told me it would take quite a while to get a refund if I canceled and my trip was just 3 weeks away. So I pretty much had to say yes because I wouldn't have the refund in time to book something else else. The one that they booked me in

Great stay

Host is communicative and the property is as described. Cabin was very clean and adequately appointed. View is really exceptional as the house is angled to look down the river, not just directly across. Bed was comfortable. We didn’t use the hot tub, but the area provided for it has great privacy and it appeared to be well maintained. Will likely return with a larger group in the future.

Wonderful location, with some dining caveats

Our party consisted of three elderly siblings and two spouses who try to assemble annually while still possible. Unless you are planning to prepare all meals within the cabin (which is fully equipped to so), dining facilities nearby are few and far between. You should include this factor in you selection of vacation locations. On the bright side, the location is perfect for relaxing with an amazing view.

Magnet stay

Thought the cabin was ok. Air conditioner is inadequate for the cabin. There were fans throughout the place but were not nearly enough. There were only 3 of us for the weekend. If the cabin was filled with max guests allowed, it would have been very uncomfortable. Cabin was equipped with everything we needed. I don’t believe it is worth what we ended up paying after all the add-ons and fees.

Perfect spot for a getaway!

The cabin was clean and well stocked with all the necessities! The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. You cannot beat the view or the peacefulness of the location. This is the perfect spot if you want to get away and enjoy the quiet part of life.

Not quite what we expected

It is a lovely location, and has a beautiful view. The main issue we had was that the uppermost loft bedroom, that we had counted on for one of our kiddos was not usable as the temperature up there was unbearably hot. The second issue was that the fold-up bed advertised in the listing (that we had counted on for another kiddo) was not functional. So ultimately we were down 2 beds that we had counted on. In all fairness - we did not contact the host to complain because a) it was very late when we realized either of these things, and b) we didn't feel there was anything they'd be able to do about it so last minute. So they did not have the opportunity to rectify it, though I'm not sure they could have. We tried to make do with the space we had, but ultimately it was not a comfortable situation for our large family, so we opted to leave on day 2, rather then sleeping there again. If you have a smaller group, it is lovely, but I would think twice if you are counting on those 2 beds in the summer:( One other thing to consider, it is in the middle of nowhere. Which can be great, but important to know that there is nothing around. This was not a negative for us, but it was definitely further away from gas/food/civilization than we expected.

Great stay

Had a wonderful weekend with relaxing views. Transparency on the pet charges on site is needed as we had to pay extra for pets upon check in that was not stated. Otherwise, was a great place to stay!

Breath taking views of Ohio River. Perfect venue for our desires (sibling re-union). Cabin needs some TLC but more than adequate for a "rustic Cabin". Very responsive hosts.

Nice place. Convenient location.

The place was nice. Read through other reviews about bedrooms and such beforehand. We did so we were not surprised and it fit us fine. There were a lot of little spiders in the house…it may be time to spray. We spent very little time at the cabin but it’s comfortable and a great view. Boat ramp is very close. We ventured to Tell City for breakfast at Julie’s and it was worth the drive.

Get Away

Four retired teachers-some friends and some family- spent four relaxing days at the Blue Herron. We laughed, we cried, we told stories and we took naps. The cabin was immaculate and the beds were great! Thank you for a wonderful get away vacation!

Listing lied

It was stated it is a 4 bedroom. It is only 2 with a loft that has a bed and a basement room with a bed. Neither of these provide any privacy. The picnic table broke while 3 of our guest were sitting on it and my son took a screw to the head because a board was sitting hanging over the end leg with the screw exposed

Great Cabin and Location

Our Family REALLY enjoyed the place and the entire weekend. One son said this is the best place we've stayed! My husband said he wished he could have met Bud. This is the first cabin built in Bud's bunch of rentals, I believe. I think small fixes and deep cleaning are coming when time allows. None of the issues affected how much we really enjoyed our stay! We really hope to come back next year, maybe with a larger family bunch! It was GREAT! Thank you, Bud and Michelle! (8-)

Perfect location

The location is beautiful! Right on the river. We had 7 adults in the cabin and had plenty of room for all of us. Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. Perfect place to stay for the Kentucky Derby as it’s away from all the crowds, but close enough to get to the track early! If not going into Louisville, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors from the wrap around deck.

The only reason for my not giving this 5 stars is that there was an odor in the basement sleeping area - not horrible, just not pleasant.
