Great central location in Beach Haven! Park your car, and walk to restaurants, shops, the beach, and the amusement park! So much to do! The rooftop deck is a wonderful place to unwind.

Great location
The location cannot be beat! Just a short walk to beach and across from the supermarket and theater and walking distance to everything. The house was comfortable and no issues. The owner was so responsive and easy to work with. Can’t think of anything I didn’t like!

Great stay in the heart of Beach Haven
My family (myself, my husband and our infant) had a wonderful 2 day stay here. We booked the property last minute and Nancy and David were incredibly responsive and accommodating with our check-in and check-out times. The house is in a great location that is walkable to local restaurants and shops, as well as to the beach which it made it easy for us to go back and forth as we needed. The property was as listed/described/shown in pictures; the roof deck in particular is a very lovely feature where we enjoyed our morning coffee and downtime each day.

Great location!
This is a great spot close to the beach with all the basics you need for a good beach vacation. We loved that we were able to bring our dog and our friends bought theirs. They are both well behaved dogs yet many places want you to leave your fur baby home! The backyard is divided up nicely so the top floor and bottom floor have their own bbq and space to hang. We would stay again!

BEST LOCATION!!!
Lovely Victorian home situated in a great location in Beach Haven. Close to beach, shops, restaurants, we didn't drive our car all week! The home is well maintained, my extended family rented three units, and it was nice to have three separate areas for everyone. My only regret is that we never had s'mores in the backyard :( . Nancy was very responsive, although we didn't have any issues. Highly recommend!

Very Memorable Family Vacation
My wife began communicating with Nancy almost a year prior to our stay. All throughout the process she was very quick to respond and super friendly. My wife and I stayed here with our two kids (8 and 5) and this place was just what we were looking for. We arrived during a 100+ degree heat wave and the AC on the main floor was heavenly. Unfortunately, the two bedrooms on the upper floor had small window units that were not capable of combating against the heat, so the rooms were very stuffy until the sun set and the units were given a few hours to try and cool the rooms. Even then the rooms weren't as cool as we would have preferred.
The bedrooms offered a total of four beds so we ended up actually having two additional beds available so some family came to visit for a couple of days which made our vacation that much more special. This place was super close to the beach as well as the Pearl Street Market but more importantly, The Chegg! This place is at a great location and we had a wonderful time.

I’m sorry about the AC units upstairs, normally they are adequate, but I wasn’t aware that they were having trouble keeping up when the heat is excessive like that. Based on your comments, we will be replacing those units with more efficient units. Thank you for the great feed back, we are always looking to improve where we can.

Place could use more care
It’s a quaint place that has a nice deck. There is a lot of activity and some noise, as it’s across the street from the back of a supermarket. This could be fairly easily overlooked. My real disappointment was that it just didn’t feel cared for well. These are a few examples of things that just made it not as comfortable and welcoming as many other rentals. The lights on the deck were not hooked up; there was no sponge or brush at the sink for washing dishes; there was a plant growing in the narrow pathway to get into the house somewhat obstructing it. The whole experience just felt like it had not been really looked at with an eye for what would make a guest feel comfortable. There were many lights without working bulbs, including overhead. The old fashioned guidebook was falling apart, covered in mildew, and should have been thrown out. This could be fixed with an hour or two of care and it could just be a cute old apartment typical of what one would expect at the shore.

Guest did not alert us to any issues during their stay, but we check the house weekly, and immediately went to remedy the items listed when we received the review, several weeks after their stay. The decorative lights work, evidently guest did not plug them in. The only plant we saw next to the path, was a decorative ground cover that grows along the fence. Lightbulbs are provided or replaced immediately upon notice. We use an electronic guide book, we didn’t know the old one was still lurking around. We replace sponges weekly, we apologize that one was not provided, an oversight on our part.
This rental unit is getting an update fall 2024: carpets removed, hardwoods refinished, wall & base cabinets, granite and dishwasher installed, fresh paint, some new furniture, tile in bathroom, and hot tub on upper deck. Stay tuned for updated photos this winter.

Great Location and Deck!
The location of this property is hard to beat, and the communication with ownership was very responsive to questions/issues we had (as we did communicate with them). The property has easy access to several great restaurants and bars, a great grocery store at the end of the block, and a wonderful mini-golf course at the end of the street. The beach is easily accessible 1.5 blocks from the house. And the large outside deck provides great gathering space outside with, and without shade (there’s a large umbrella available).
If you cannot do steps, this place is not for you… it’s second and third floor with Victorian-era stairs on the inside. If you are not a fan of birds, this may be a challenge as well… there are families of Finches that enjoy the outside deck as much as the guests. The bedding is a little confusing - the master is a king, and the other room has two twins that are separated but butted-up to each other and sandwiched between the walls… crawl in, crawl out. The space was clean. The space’s condition was ok; some areas were worn and functioned with some assistance (the umbrella didn’t lock, the cable wasn’t fully functional, and the AC units worked but needed cleaning).
It’s a good stay with a great deck and location… if you plan to be outside, or out and about, you’ll like it much better!

Disappointing and dirty
A few problems occurred before we even got to the rental. We asked the property manage if we could stay a little longer on check out day. He gladly said yes and said we could stay until 2pm. The owner messaged me a few hours later and said no we had to be out at 10. Also the owner requested the second payment before the payment was due. So there was a lack of communication.
Once we got into the rental we noticed that the bathroom had a stench. It was disgusting. I tried to Lysol it but the stench lingered and made us want to vomit.
The carpets were filthy and old. The home probably has beautiful wood floors underneath but the carpets made the place look outdated and ugly. There wasn't much in the way of decor and the furniture was worn and dated. The place was unkept, sad, and neglected.
The larger bedroom upstairs had a king bed. The mattress cover was covered in dog hair and other things. It was gross!! The room smelled like a wet dog.
The smaller bedroom with the 2 twin beds had a closet filled with dirty stained old pillows and everything in the closet was thrown on the floor.
The kitchen did not have cabinets only a dirty cloth covering the area under the sink and the closet had no door only a sheet and the light was out.
The pullout couch had food and other garbage under the mattress. The couch itself smelled like dog.
Beach Haven is a beautiful place to visit but this rental was far from beautiful. We were all very disappointed.

We only have 1500 characters, so hopefully, our Premier Status & reviews will speak for themselves, but we feel we need to answer these claims.
1. We received no complaints from this guest during their stay, about cleanliness or any other issue, this is the first we’ve heard of it. We are very responsive to guests if there is an issue. That’s one of the ways we continue to achieve our Premier status, year after year. Our manager checked the unit prior to check in and there was no odor. There were no pets prior to their stay, and the house was thoroughly cleaned, just before check in.
2. Check in/out time: The guest asked to check in early, and out late, AFTER they booked their stay. Early check in and out is always contingent upon the cleaners schedule. Check in is at 3:00, and they checked in as soon as the cleaners were done at 2:00. Check out is 10am, they requested a 1-2PM check just prior to their stay and we attempted to accommodate them. Due to the cleaners schedule, we were unable to make it happen. We informed them that they would have to observe the regular check out time of 10am.
3. The payment requests are automated by VRBO who collect half the amount at booking and the other half 60 days prior to check in. I believe they send payment requests out a week prior to the due date, but we, the owners have no control over that.
4. Although we’ve had good feedback, this rental is being updated this winter, paint, new cabinets, hard wood & tile flooring installed.
