Beautiful Views and attentive owner

Amazing views over the lake. Owner was very attentive and took care of anything we needed. We would definitely stay here again. Husband enjoyed fishing off the dock.

Great Location with Magical View

A lovely lake cottage very near Ithaca. Superb view of Cornell across Cayuga Lake. Comfortable beds. Clean and updated bathrooms. Otherwise somewhat rustic. Good wi-fi. Very attentive host. Simple accommodations. Very suitable for family groups.

Nice Lake House in Ithaca

Very well kept house that looked like it was recently updated. The location was great, being right on Cayuga Lake and a short drive to Ithaca. You could see the Cornell campus and enjoy the lake breezes. The owner was very quick to respond to messages and offer assistance, even though none was needed.

Glorious Graduation Weekend on the Lake

Loved the location and quaintness of cottage. Sitting on deck in the morning with coffee and sweatshirt watching the Cornell Crew team row by was wonderful! Actually sitting on deck anytime looking out at lake was wonderful. Great location. Close to town and IC, so was perfect for graduation activities. The host is supper nice and attentive and quick to respond to questions. Looking forward to going back!

Wonderful stay!

We spent a month at this wonderful lake house and enjoyed it greatly. The views of the lake from the large porch were terrific, including several rainbows. The proximity to the lake itself, with its pebbly beach and 2 docks (one has a gazebo at the end), is a real plus. There are 2 very nice updated bathrooms - one on each floor which is very convenient. The updated kitchen is large and also very nice and well kept. Another bonus of this property is the owner, Sanjeev, who was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, we had a peaceful and relaxing time.

Excellent lake house very close to town

This house was perfect for a week at the lake for our family (with a baby). private lakefront / dock were great, the kitchen and bathrooms were updated and worked perfectly (not always the case in lake houses), and the porch was a great spot to just look out at the great water views. Sanjeev was a very good host and responded quickly the only couple times i had questions.

Fantastic family get away

We had a great time. Owner was attentive and responded quickly. The beautiful lake house was clean and worked out well for all of us. Kitchen and baths were newly remodeled and beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Lakeside Retreat on Cayuga Lake

Well appointed lake front property on Cayuga lake with private driveway to house door makes for a very enjoyable time with a small group or family. Recently renovated kitchen and bathrooms along with a new floors and a fresh coat of paint are a nice touches. House has a well maintained private beach area perfect for swimming or fishing. Lots of natural light and porch area make this an ideal setting for sipping a cup of coffee or drinking a glass of local wine. Quick trip into Ithaca and some of the best amenities of the finger lakes region. Owner extremely friendly and responsive. Highly recommend this house for your next finger lakes getaway.

Has potential but not worth the price

We stayed here for a family vacation at the end of August for 3 nights and enjoyed the area but the house not so much. Checking into the house was easy as it was unlocked, but there was no house key in order for us to lock it. Sanjeev was very accommodating and came to the house to deliver a key within a few hours. The house is big and can comfortably sleep 6 adults but if those 6 adults want to spend anytime together in the same room you’d be hard pressed to find enough seating. The dining room table only seats 4 as does the living room so there can be no family meals together or watching tv or movies together if it rains. The porch has a beautiful view of the lake but there is only seating for 2. In short, there is not enough furniture for 6 people. The kitchen and bathrooms are nicely renovated and the bathrooms and bed rooms were very clean. The kitchen was clean on the surface but, after opening the cupboards, we found dishes with dried food on them and dead bugs, prompting us to wash everything before we used it. Initially, there were no hand towels or wash clothes for the bathrooms but we found them damp and getting moldy in the washing machine. The walls of the dining room had a lot of dead bugs on them. While there is air conditioning, it is just window units; 2 upstairs and 1 down. The house has a weird layout with one of the bedrooms having no windows to the outside and therefore no air conditioning. There is no fan in this room so the nights were hot and sticky because there was no air flow. The lake is beautiful but the outdoor situation makes it difficult to enjoy it. The stairs down to the lake are crumbling and grown over with weeds and poison ivy. While there is a private, beach most of it is unusable do to the high weeds growing on the majority of it. If you are hoping the stay here and enjoy the lake, this is not the house for you as the outdoor and indoor spaces are lacking in furniture and cleanliness. If you are just looking for a place to stay to explore the wineries, just get a hotel as the cost of this rental is not worth it.

Thank you for your feedback. I pride myself on providing a great experience to my guests so I am sorry to find out that you had a less than stellar experience. I only wish you had raised the issues (more seating, fresh hand towels, etc) during your stay and given me the opportunity to address them to your satisfaction. I have noted your points about the interior of a couple of the kitchen cabinets and made our turnover service aware of the unfinished laundry - that should not have happened and I sincerely apologize on both counts. I’m glad you found the house to be very clean overall. The air conditioners have more than enough capacity to comfortably cool the house and if/when needed, I am always happy to provide fans to supplement. The outdoor and private beach space is a favorite among guests and I have neither seen nor been made aware of any poison ivy on the premises but am happy to double check. However, in response to your feedback, I am increasing the frequency of our landscaping service to ensure that any concerns about plant overgrowth are addressed quickly.

Great location for a relaxing vacation

The owner is putting a lot of work into improving the property, and the kitchen and bathrooms are particularly beautiful. There's a good size stretch of beach with a lovely pier to sit on, and a great porch on the 1st floor for lounging and looking at the lake. There were a lot of small bugs attracted to the lights of the house, and it was hard to keep them out, but probably other months are better (this was August).

Lovely weekend

We lucked out with great weather for Cornell's graduation weekend and that helped us enjoy the incredible views from the house and dock. The house had plenty of room, nice beds and pillows and brand new bathrooms and kitchen which was awesome. We had a great time with our family and even took graduation pics on the dock! Price point extremely reasonable and I would highly recommend this lovely place.
