Dans le but de créer une escapade parfaite pour deux, nous venons de terminer un chalet personnalisé dans la communauté fermée de Hartstene Pointe sur l'île de Hartstene. Pour vous aider à découvrir le cadre naturel extraordinaire, nous proposons deux kayaks, vélos et planches à pagaie.

Enveloppée d'arbres imposants, cette escapade romantique est conçue pour une retraite paisible ou une aventure - comme vous pouvez faire de la randonnée, du vélo ou du kayak (inclus) et marcher le long des belles plages de sable et des kilomètres de sentiers boisés. À seulement trois minutes à pied de la plage. Ressourcez-vous en respirant dans la verdure majestueuse de ce refuge calme et isolé. Il comprend également une piscine extérieure chauffée et des courts de tennis au Clubhouse.

La maison a des plafonds de 23 pieds avec du verre du sol au plafond offrant une connexion spectaculaire avec les vieux sapins douglas et les cèdres qui vous entourent. Les escaliers ouverts architecturaux, la cheminée et le foyer et la table de salle à manger sont tous fabriqués sur mesure à partir des arbres récoltés sur le site.

Conçue comme une escapade romantique, la maison dispose également d'un confortable canapé / lit queen dans le salon devant la cheminée. Il y a une salle de bain à côté de la cuisine au rez-de-chaussée et une salle de bain principale à côté de la confortable chambre en mezzanine. La cuisine gastronomique entièrement équipée est équipée de tout ce dont vous aurez besoin pour compléter vos délicieuses créations.

Aside from how beautiful the place was - both the cabin and the area - it was easy to find everything in the house and it was really tidy. For solo travelers, seeing all the notes and extra stuff available was really comforting.

The cabin is a great retreat in the trees. Arranging to access the gated residential community it is in was smooth and handled by the owner all using vrbo messaging -- which I really appreciated. I enjoyed a pretty peaceful, fairly quiet stay. One reason I can't give 5 stars this visit was that the place hadn't been cleaned, including having to run some wash to get a set of sheets for the bed. Not a major problem but dissapointing. It was a little more unusual that housekeeping showed up an hour after check-in thinking I was the owner. Overall, this was not an issue that would keep me from wanting to come back to this lovely cabin. A great retreat location otherwise.

We've stayed in a handful of VRBOs and hotels the last couple of yrs. This place was clean, quiet, and the host was kind when we had trouble finding the key, which was 100% our fault. It's not often that we stay in a place that includes a basket of "things you might've forgotten" so that was awesome to see! We'd definitely recommend to others.

A short stay, we split our days into driving days and stay home days. A great mix of hiking, driving, dining in and dining out. Would love to experience in warmer days to get out on the water!

This place was amazing!! The inside was so clean, modern, and cozy. The brown cognac recliner was the best place I’ve ever sat, and we loved every aspect of the cabin. The kitchen had all the utensils and dishes we needed, and the bathrooms were so nice, clean, and stocked. The scenery was amazing too! We went for a walk around the island and enjoyed the views. I highly recommend this place to anyone! We will be back next year for sure.

This house is so cute and oh-so cozy! It was quiet and peaceful, and the shower is exquisite. We love going down to the beach to look at the beauty of Puget Sound and watching for seals and other critters.My only note is for some dusting and cobwebs, but I know with a vaulted ceiling the cobwebs can show up over night so it wasn't a big deal. Overall Beautiful property and we will definitely be coming back next year!

The perfect getaway

This place gave us just what we needed, some much needed time away in a beautiful home and a gorgeous wooded and quiet neighborhood by the water. The walk to the beach was the perfect distance, complete with a deer sighting. The house itself was so stylishly decorated and comfortable. Communication with the owners was seamless. Would definitely stay here again.

Incredible home in the trees

This is the second time we've stayed here now, and we don't expect it to be the last. This place is in the perfect spot to enjoy Hartstine Pointe and the surrounding area. We highly recommend this place, especially for couples!

Relaxing weekend getaway

So close to the tacoma/seattle metro area but so quiet and relaxing, a great place for us to reconnect! Kayaked, swam at the pool, hiked, enjoyed the sunset from the beach. A Relaxed and friendly area—And Lake Spencer Bar and Grill for fresh Harstine Island clams!

Hôte : Daniel Johnson

Daniel was born in the NW and his lived here all his life. His father was a forester moving to Washington State from Chicago for the trees and mountains.

Elaine was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Her father was a chemist and moved his family to Washington State to pursue a career in pulp & paper. Both families moved here for the trees!

Daniel & Elaine met at the University of Washington, graduating with degrees in Social Work. They have spent their rewarding careers working with children & families and supporting community based organizations.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Daniel grew up in Shelton. He has memories of his dad taking him and his twin brother Dave to Harstine Island on the two-car ferry before the bridge to the island was built.

Our family loves the natural beauty of the Pacific NW. We have always enjoyed hiking, camping and boating. When our parents passed away, we decided to use a portion of the inheritance to build a special place to honor thier history and passion for nature.

In designing the house we wanted showcase the majesty of the towering Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar trees with the floor to ceiling windows. Special windows were installed in the loft bedroom so you can see the trees when you are lying in bed, giving you the experience of being high above the ground in a treehouse.

Seeing the trees through the windows was not enough. We wanted to bring the beauty of the trees into the house, so we used the trees harvested from the site for the fireplace mantel & hearth, stairs, bookshelves, dinning room table and bathroom vanities.

This unique location is a true escape. It offers you the opportunity to experience the national park like setting while staying in a gorgeous and well appointed retreat. The beaches at Hartstene Pointe are known to be the best on the island. There are miles of hiking trails and winding quiet roads for biking. We provide the kayaks, bikes and paddle boards so you make the most of your stay.
