À moins de 100 mètres du Manoir du Gouverneur, cet appartement d'une chambre à coucher, confortable et bien entretenu, est privé et possède toutes les commodités, y compris le stationnement hors rue. Mais, une voiture n'est pas nécessaire puisque la plupart des choses dans le centre-ville de Juneau sont à 5 ou 10 minutes de marche. En quelques minutes et dans des directions différentes, vous pouvez marcher jusqu'au manoir du gouverneur, Capitol et State Building, deux musées (Juneau et Alaska State), un grand supermarché, des restaurants populaires, Cope Park avec accès à Basin Road et le Mont. Juneau, le mont. Roberts, et des sentiers de randonnée Persévérance.

Le bâtiment est un quadrilatère et fait partie de l'Association du quartier historique du Gouverneur.

La cuisine de cuisine pleine grandeur est entièrement équipée avec vaisselle et verrerie, casseroles, grille-pain, mixeur, moulin à café, cafetière (conventionnelle et goutte à goutte), micro-ondes, bouilloire électrique, four conventionnel, et grand réfrigérateur. Le salon bien meublé comprend un canapé sectionnel confortable qui fournit un espace de couchage supplémentaire pour 2 personnes de plus. De grandes fenêtres laissant entrer beaucoup de lumière. Une table à manger qui peut accueillir 6-8 personnes, et un 55 "TV à écran plat / avec câble et internet. Un placard à vêtements.

La grande chambre a un lit queen size, une commode, un placard à vêtements et une pièce fermée avec une laveuse et une sécheuse.

La salle de bain complète comprend une abondance de rayonnages fermés pour les serviettes de bain et les draps et où l'espace supplémentaire pour les articles personnels et les vêtements peut être stocké. Une douche complète avec baignoire. Les clients peuvent s'attendre à des oreillers, des serviettes fraîches, des draps et des draps. My kids and I had a lovely stay at the metcalfe manor. The location was so convenient for walking to town and the grocery store. It was clean and had everything we needed for our 2 week stay.

Great location downtown!

This property is in a great location near the Governers Mansion and a short walk to everything in the downtown area. I have stayed here a few times now and keep coming back because of the lovely hosts, location and coziness. I recommend.

Clean, Cozy & Kind

I stayed here for a month while I was visiting for work and the place was just what I needed. It’s walking distance to everything downtown and in a great location. The best thing…the bed is SO cozy which, as frequent travelers know, is so important. The hosts were very kind and helpful. I hope to stay with them again soon.

An excellent place to stay! All of the amenities we could want...including peanut butter and freezer packs for our cooler! Really comfy bed...slept SO wel l! My childhood home us across the street...a real +! Metcalfe Manor is VERY close to all of Downtown Juneau!! Thanks for an awesome 10 day stay!!

Great Long Term Stay

Peter and Sandy were excellent long term hosts. Very approachable with questions. House is very close to downtown, making it a nice short walk. House was supplied with everything we needed. Clean, home-y space. Would definitely recommend.

Great hosts and a great place to stay in Juneau!

Our family of four (two adults and two kids) stayed at the one bedroom unit for three nights. Hosts provided great detailed communication before our arrival and welcomed us when we arrived to the unit late at night. The unit itself is very clean, spacious and very well taken care of. Location is also good - about 15 minutes walking to the pier, 5 minutes to the museums and the grocery store. We travel a lot and have stayed in many different places and would recommend staying at this unit without any reservation.

Close to everything!

This is my second stay with Sandy and Peter and it was just as good, if not better, than my first stay. First off, you can not beat the location if you want to be in the downtown area. It is just a short walk to everything…groceries, coffee, sights, and. work for me. The place is clean and comfy and well-appointed. I had everything that I needed. I will be back!

Close to everything!

Stayed here with a friend during a conference. Easy walk from the rental to downtown and the convention center. It may be helpful to add more details on walking from rental to town to the book in the unit or online description. VRBO was clean and ready upon arrival. Owner was good at communicating when we extended out stay. Gave owner a 5 on communication, but would only give VRBO a "2" due to the confusion VRBO created when rates displayed when additional nights were added looked different to customer and owner. It took some additional correspondence with the owner to sort out the confusion. It would be nice to have a mirror in the main room so when accommodations are shared and one sleeps on the sofa bed, getting ready in the morning would be easier without waiting for mirror in bathroom / bedroom area.. Thank you for a lovely stay in our state's capital city - Juneau!

Great Juneau apartment.

This very pleasant apartment is in a primo neighborhood in Juneau, within walking distance of stores, restaurants, a great museum, and the waterfront and tour boat docks. The location was very helpful for us as we chose to not rent a car and traveled by bus, on foot, and by cab to and from the airport. The amenities were totally satisfactory for our group of four adults. When we ran into a problem just after check-in, Sandy was available by phone and, though she was out of town, had someone help us within just a few minutes. Recommend this place.

Great home in wonderful location!

We loved our stay. The location is walkable to anything in the downtown area of Juneau, but is very quiet. The unit is a large one-bedroom, with a very well-stocked kitchen. It was very clean and comfortable, and communication with the owner was prompt and clear. We would definitely stay here again!

The townhouse was comfortable, attractive and nicely stocked with all the supplies you might need and then some. The owners were friendly and also clearly respectful of their guest’s privacy. Easy and pleasant walk to center of downtown area.

Your hosts, Sandy and Peter Metcalfe, are well-connected residents of long standing. Peter is a fourth generation Alaskan and Sandy, originally from Cleveland has lived here since 1974 and raised 3 sons. Peter and Sandy were married in 1992 and soon after moved into the four-plex they occupy today. They are happy to share insights to the places to see and things to do and advise on outdoor logistics and opportunities.

The downtown area was the only place we wanted to live. Downtown Juneau has charming, friendly neighborhoods and is a hub connecting us to family, outside enjoyment, restaurants, government connections, breathtaking vistas, and marinas - all accessible by foot.

Beautiful vistas any direction you look.Easy access to world-class hiking many (I mean many) trails in the Basin, Cope Park, Mt Robert's (we like to hike up and take the Tram down), Mt Juneau, the docks and harbors. Our beautiful neighborhood is in an historic district that includes the Governor's Mansion. We are within short walks of the Juneau and Alaska museums, and the Juneau and State libraries, providing easy access to sources of Alaskan culture and history. Both Sandy and Peter are professional photographers, and Peter is a writer and publisher well known for his in-depth knowledge of Alaska history, Alaska Native culture, and the environment.
Our studio apartment ideally suits the traveler that comes to Juneau to explore.
