Niché dans le paysage tropical luxuriant de Marathon, cette maison se trouve à quelques rues de l'océan Atlantique, avec un accès rapide à des tonnes d'activités sur le thème de l'eau. Il est également à distance de marche de la plage de Sombrero. Tous les magasins, restaurants et lieux de divertissement se trouvent à quelques minutes au nord ou au sud de l'autoroute Outre-mer.

Cette maison dispose de deux espaces de vie, le salon principal sera situé au deuxième étage et comprend un balcon fermé donnant sur le canal et une télévision à écran plat. Le deuxième salon est situé en bas de la kitchenette et dispose de portes coulissantes en verre qui mènent au quai. L'étage dispose également d'une grande cuisine mise à jour avec un réfrigérateur et un congélateur de taille commerciale pour toutes vos courses et, au rez-de-chaussée, il y a une deuxième kitchenette qui permet plus d'espace de rangement. Cette propriété dispose de 5 chambres et 4 salles de bains. Le rez-de-chaussée dispose de 3 chambres et de deux salles de bains où l'étage dispose de 2 chambres et de 2 salles de bains. Les chambres en bas comporteront: une reine, un ensemble de lits superposés et ensuite un lit king et un jumeau. Les chambres à l'étage comporteront: une reine et un roi, plus un canapé-lit dans le salon. Dans la cuisine, vous trouverez tous les accessoires de cuisine nécessaires pour le petit-déjeuner, le déjeuner et le dîner faits maison, ainsi que des comptoirs en granit pour préparer des collations et un lave-vaisselle pour un nettoyage rapide.

La piscine est entièrement protégée et dispose d'un refuge Tiki pour une couverture d'ombre supplémentaire! Le congélateur à appâts se trouve juste à l’intérieur de la piscine et il y aura également une machine à glaçons commerciale. Il y a deux cabanes Tiki avec une grande terrasse, l'une dans la piscine et l'autre près des escaliers.

Pour tous ces pêcheurs - c'est la maison pour vous! En plus d'un quai de 100 pieds, il y a une station de nettoyage du poisson, un congélateur, un fumoir et un aspirateur-scelleur (au cas où vous voudriez ramener votre prise à la maison!)

Emmenez toute votre famille se familiariser avec la vie marine locale au Dolphin Research Center, ou enfilez des chaussures robustes pour une randonnée dans la nature autour du parc d’état Curry Hammock. Stunning home with a great location. The towels, pillows, and linen could be upgraded, but overall, it’s an amazing experience. Adding perimeter lights would enhance its beauty. I’ll definitely rent it again.

Great family stay

Great house for our family of 10 - lots of space and a great location within walking distance to the beach and close to lots of essentials. Small things could make this a 5-star, like pool lights, a few more towels and beach/lounge chairs. Inside spiral staircase was a bit treacherous for a few in our group - especially when wet from the pool. Overall a great stay!

Summer Vacation

We had a really great stay, the dock made such a difference for us, so easy to bring the boats in and out. The house was a great little beach house, even though it is a rental the little flaws are what make it great! We enjoyed getting up in the morning and having our coffee in the Sun room, playing ping pong and getting some shade by the pool!

Big place for a big family!

Our extended family flew in from Seattle for a Keys wedding. The Big Kahuna delivered. We spent hours by the pool, moored a rented pontoon boat for daily excursions and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves for a week. The house provided plenty of space for all 12 of us. Bonnie was great to communicate with and was on top of getting quick repairs done when the upstairs AC went out. The house is a bit older, so there are some quirks, but overall the setting was beautiful, the location perfect and we had a fabulous time.

Big house for big family

This is a great house for a large family get away to the Keys. However it needs attention the downstairs furniture really needs help, sofa broken, table and chairs wobble, upstairs furniture was nice but the gas stove top needs to be serviced and the refrigerator/ freezer needs to be lined up. Cabinets in kitchen and bathrooms need help and there is water damage throughout the house. Loved the dock, great place to clean fish and big enough for two boats. But then they charge you 200 dollars extra for a second boat. Loved the upstairs deck for evening sunsets. We had a great time and there was room for all 12 of us.

Spacious and well located home in need of updating.

Our family of 8 adults spent a week at the Big Kahuna. The Pros: The house was large, with lots of spaces for people to spread out. It is located a short walk to the beach and has a long dock on a canal. We had kayaks delivered and loved being able to launch from the property! The management company was quick with communication and easy to work with and they left a nice starter kit of basic supplies for us (soap, paper products, dishwasher and laundry pods, etc). Shopping and lots of restaurants within a couple miles. The Cons: This property needs cosmetic updating and new furniture. Lots of stains on all fabric surfaces. The pool area has many loose pavers and a missing screen section. The upstairs (rooftop) patio could be a beautiful spot, but has only a few rusty/broken beach chairs. This could be a really nice rental if it had some basic upgrades.

Property is run down

We arrived for our annual family vacation to find the home very dirty. Cleaning crew obviously did a walk thru. With Corona virus being a serious concern we had to hot to Publix and sanitized the entire place. Smudge marks on the sliding doors. Bathrooms were cleaned of debris from prior party but needed a serious cleaning. The property is showing signs years in the rental market. Not enough dishes, Pool tables sticks all are damaged. Ice maker was not working to say a few. We expected more for the amount of money spent on the unit including the ridiculous cleaning fees. We will look for another place next year.

Dear Robert, I am sorry your stay did not meet your expectations. Our quality control person checked the house prior to your arrival and everything looked ok. She also dropped off a welcome basket for you with extra supplies. Unfortunately, not once did we hear from you! We would have responded immediately and addressed your concerns. Thank you for your feedback.This spacious home has a new owner who welcomes all suggestions to help make his guests stay more enjoyable. He has already replaced the dishwasher, bought new master bedroom furniture, and a new downstairs refrigerator. A new dock will be constructed next month. The icemaker had an issue that was resolved. The problem was getting parts during the Covid pandemic. We would have gladly reimbursed you for bags of ice. We hope you will reconsider in the future!

Beautiful location, house needs TLC

This house could really shine with care, as the property is at a great location and is surrounded by lush greenery. We saw manatees in the canal and the antics of all of the lizards were captivating. The landscaping and view of the canal was gorgeous. It is a very peaceful place. Unfortunately there were minuses to the home itself. We were looking very forward to spending a lot of time in the pool area away from the bugs, but a large portion of missing screening let in a lot of insects. Our son, who has disabilities, was terrified of the interior circular steps so he used the exterior steps only. It would have been very helpful if the listing included a floor plan and a clear showing of the spiral staircase, as anyone who has disabilities should know how narrow that staircase is. The floors were very dirty and oddly the home lacked mirrors. The furniture was old and not very comfortable. The kitchen was large but lacking a lot of essentials; we even had to buy cooking sheets for the oven. Because the home is for sale, the owners might not want to put any money into updating the home, but that's what should be done to make guests comfortable and able to cook without being frustrated at the lack of pots and pans.

Great property especially for large family of 12. Rooms and common areas spaced out and large so no one was on top of each other. Ice machine and bait freezer a huge plus. Management on top of calls with questions or issues. Definitely would stay in the future.

Fell just short of expectations

The Big Kahuna is great place for large groups, having several options for sleeping and gathering, as well as being alone. Walking distance to Sombrero beach, as well as a walking path along Sombrero Beach Road. Management provided timely response when contacted. However, the home needs many many cosmetic fixes.

Beautiful home, ice machine was clutch!! So many great features!

Perfect home for a large family or multiple families and friends, it's huge, very clean, new furniture, the beds are very comfortable. Kitchen is amazing, plenty of room for dining in and has a great area with table and gas grill outside too! It was nice to have an extra refrigerator downstairs to keep the drinks for the coolers. The commercial ice machine is the best, we didn't have to run to the store daily to buy ice this was a huge bonus. With all the fishing we did we were able to fill coolers multiple times, the fish cleaning station on the dock is great! The sunset from the roof top deck is breathtaking!! The location is great, 5 min from the grocery stores and a short walk to a beautiful beach. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be back, this house has it all and more!

Nice waterfront home for large group.

Perfect size for our party of 11. Not for anyone who has problems with stairs. Inside is a spiral staircase that is difficult to maneuver. Outside stairs are much better, but since the main living area is on the upper level you walk up and down way too much. Pool is nice and dock has a fish cleaning station. Commercial ice machine was great when it worked but it broke during our stay. The bonus feature is that in the afternoon the entire back of the house is shaded including the dock. When coming in from a day of fishing or diving, it was great to be out of the sun while unloading and/or cleaning the fish. Minor repairs needed but none that hindered our stay. The management team was very quick to respond to anything that needed attention. The location is great. Publix was just up the road as well as Kmart.

Great Fishing House

This house exceeded my expectations. We had 7 people and we didn't feel crammed or in each other's way. The house was clean and the property manager/owner always responded to my message promptly. I really have nothing negative to say about the house. Will stay at this house again if we come back to Marathon.

Good vaction spot!

Overall the property was great! Best Part: - It has a nice pool for the kids. - The rooftop to lay out in the sun is also a nice touch, since there isn't a yard to get any sun. - Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for a group. - Short walk/drive to the Beach! Less than a mile. - Kitchen was set up with enough stuff to cook. - Plenty of towels for the pool and beach. - Dock was also a nice are, not many fish though :( Part we didn't like: - There was NO propane in the grill or backup tank, so we couldn't grill out. Never went to pick one up. - Sunroom window wasn't fixed and had some safety concerns for kids. (hopefully will be fixed soon. - Sink was plugged in lower bedroom bath. Wasn't able to get the plug out for a while. Didn't expect to do plumbing work while I was there on vacation. Seemed to have been stuck for a while. - Was a nice place, but a bit on the spendy side for a week in Marathon. Overall, all complaints were small issues compared to what you got. It is perfect house for a family or group up to 8! We had two families with 5 kids. Kids loved the pool!!!

This house worked out very well for our group of 9 adults (4 couples and one single). Plenty of room with nice kitchen, dining area, sitting areas inside and out, and pool. I understand there are new owners of the house so, while there were a few minor issues with the house (a couple ripped screens, dull knives, issue with pool filter), managers were very responsive and looking to improve this house. Just a short walk (10 minutes) from Sombrero Beach and just a short drive to many stores, restaurants, etc. Overall, this house served out group's needs quite well.
