Ahhhh ..... Casa Madeline. Bienvenue dans cette maison moderne en bord de mer de 4 chambres, 2 salles de bain, conçue par des professionnels, située à Palm Beach Estates à Playa Grande. Que vous profitiez des vagues de classe mondiale juste devant la porte ou que vous vous baigniez dans la piscine, vous êtes sûr de profiter du plein air tout en profitant d'un séjour en plein cœur du parc marin national de Las Baulas où les plus grandes tortues marines du monde, les dos en cuir, nichent. La maison est à quelques pas des restaurants, des bars et d'une épicerie. La maison est très sécurisée avec un mur d'intimité, des barres métalliques, un coffre-fort personnel et des gardes de sécurité dans cette communauté fermée la nuit. Gardez les yeux ouverts pour ne pas manquer les singes hurleurs, les iguanes, les différents oiseaux colorés et les perroquets profitant du plein air avec vous. Avec un service de conciergerie complet, une excursion d'aventure attend tout le monde.

Exactly what we hoped this home would be, and more. The location is amazing with great access to the beach. Ability to surf and boogie board right out the back yard. The house was comfortable with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

Gracious host, amazing setting, can’t wait to come back! Perfect place for 2 families, 8 people, bring a hammock, there are a couple trees in back that are perfect for an afternoon nap.

Amazing location! Beach sun fun and monkeys! Local restaurants amazing servers kind fun making the amazing foods something we couldn’t get enough of ! Cataranas Surf Dog and Rip Jacks and it’s a must you walk the beach to the Beautiful Taco Star serving up yummy tacos with such a beautiful vibe and shop with Fernando and Fabiola beautiful special gifts ….And Kristi and Doug amazing amazing answering all questions and making our arrival special!! Second year visiting counting the days to return

Amazing home for vacation

The property is amazing! Beautiful home with an awesome back yard with a pool and a small little trail that leads out to the beach. The property manager gave us a lot of advice for our stay and we could reach out to her whenever we had a question to guide us! 1000% recommend this place

Absolutely amazing

It was perfect in every way! Beautiful home with everything you need and very comfortable beds. I loved that we could walk to a few restaurants and ended up doing so every night because they were so good. The only negative would be that we wished there was a decent grocery store close by. Overall I highly recommend staying here!

Great beach

The house was large and provided more than we needed. It was comfortable, and the beach was flat and walkable. The outdoor seating could be improved, and the neighbors have barking dogs, but the price was right and the area was beautiful.

Wonderful location with restaurants within walking distance. Playa Grande is great for walking and this is towards the estuary end of the beach - a great walk to the north end for sure! The property was clean and kitchen stocked enough for our needs Will definitely return!

Lovely large accommodations with beach access and helpful cooling AC during very hot period of outside temperature. Pool an added bonus when undertow strong. Gated community provides extra feeling of security when in a foreign country.

This was our best stay in CR! Property was amazing and Kristi made it an easy check in and out. House was clean comfortable and the property was beautiful! Pool cleaned regularly and even raked the sand. Beach access was easy and sunsets were stunning! Thank you Kristi and Doug!

Perfect Beach Getaway

The house was beautiful and so roomy. The pool and the short path to the beach were so inviting and peaceful. The property manager was on point with communication and helping us plan activities while we were there. The house had restaurants within walking distance which made it nice in the evenings. The beds were very firm which wasn't ideal for me but some may like it. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Costa Rica.

Just what we wanted

This place is enormous! We were looking for a place in Playa Grande, walking to the beach, and with a pool. Hard to beat a 30 second walk to the beach! The place was clean, walking distance to multiple restaurants, had a nice pool, well-working AC, internet, laundyry, etc. I love the central location on the beach. Both of the other public access points were far enough away that we had our section of the beach nearly to ourselves.

Great location

Celebrating a birthday with a group of friends and this was the perfect location! The house was well-stocked, safe and right on the beach. We loved the relaxing, quiet vibe of the neighborhood, but then you’re a walk down the beach (and river boat crossing) to Tamarindo if you want to experience that. There are great, walkable restaurants within Palm Beach Estates, which was nice to visit for dinner or an drink after a day out exploring. The monkeys made an almost nightly visit running on the roof haha, so if you’re a light sleeper, you may want to bring ear plugs. Would definitely stay here again, though!

Wonderful Neighborhood

We absolutely love this Neighborhood. The house was in a great location and was perfect for us. The AC did not work in one of the bedrooms, but thankfully we didn't need that room. The only suggestions I would have would more more kitchen supplies/utensils/knives and more outside chairs! But overall this place is wonderful, beautiful, safe, and well cared for! We will be back!!

Casa Madeline is the place to be on Playa Grande

We really enjoyed Casa Madeline. The 4 large bedrooms we so nice and the open common area with a spacious kitchen made hanging out comfortable and fun. The modern appliances were easy to use and up to date. The air conditioning did a great job keeping up with the heat index above 105 fahrenheit. Bathrooms were also spacious. What you really care about is that the ocean could truly not be closer. Maybe 20 steps down a nice path and the water is right there. This made running back to the house for drinks or snacks super easy. Playa Grande is great with nice water, great waves, and long beachwalks possible. The pool was a perfect temperature and cleaned daily by the grounds keeper. The ocean could get a bit cool for our kids and they appreciated warming up in the pool after playing in the perfect waves. The neighborhood around the home is also very nice. There are a few small eating establishments (we didnt try them, but they seemed nice), an ice cream spot, and the small market can take care of the majority of your needs. Surf rentals and live music are also close (walking). The house felt very secure. Costa Rica in general seems very safe, but locking gates and a security system in the home can make if feel even safer in case you have concerns. My only suggestions for the owners would be to update the sofas/living room furniture and the outdoor chairs, and to add more dishes to more easily accommodate 8 people. These are MINOR concerns. Communication was easy too!

Fantastic Location

I’m sorry it has taken me so long to submit this review. Time slows down when you are on vacation but it goes right back to hectic when you return. My family and I enjoyed our vacation at Playa Grande very much. The location was perfect. The landscaping of the house was beautiful. The property is gated and private but within walking distance to restaurants and a small grocery store. More restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, and shopping are just a short drive away. The interior of the house was spacious and updated. Having a washer and dryer was a major bonus. As much as we loved this property, there are a few things that we hope the property owner might consider for future guests. The beds weren’t as comfortable as we would have liked. They might benefit from a topper or a new mattress pad. We used the kitchen to cook most of our meals and we noticed that some of the cook wear wasn’t very functional. There were pans without handles which made cooking a bit challenging. My family and I spent a lot of time in the back yard. While there is a covered patio and pool the outdoor space could greatly benefit from a refresh. We noticed broken tiles in and along the pool. There were a few plastic chairs on the patio. Some updated furniture would make it a more comfortable space. The current chairs may not accommodate all guest safely. But the true star of the show is the beach. This was our second trip to Playa Grande and we can’t wait to go back.
