Vous adorerez le «sentiment» de cette maison fabuleuse, spacieuse et bien approvisionnée et admirerez à quel point nous avons facilité la tâche pour vous et vos proches d’arriver simplement et de commencer à vous faire des souvenirs de plage que vous chérirez pour toujours. Un endroit vraiment spécial et relaxant pour chaque saison!

MARCHE vers la rue Monroe Public Beach Access & Ocean (accès à la plage publique et à la mer): c’est un accès très pratique à la plage avec les toilettes publiques du centre communautaire, une rampe d’accès pour vous permettre de vous déplacer facilement vers la plage, des douches extérieures pour vous rincer, des filets de volley-ball installés dans le sable, des cours de yoga
- 1 minute. Promenez-vous dans de fabuleux restaurants et bars (Drift Coffee & Kitchen, Wine Wine Coastal, Pelican’s Perch, pour n'en nommer que quelques-uns)

Beautiful home in and Ideal Location!

Our stay was fantastic. The house was easy to find and in an ideal location just near the center of Ocean Isle beach. We were able to walk to eat and were just across the street from the beach access which also had public restrooms. The home was very clean and accommodated us perfectly. We will definitely be back!

Great spot!

Our friends stayed at this same home several times, so we were familiar with the layout and location. It was clean, super convenient to the beach and the center of OIB and had everything we needed for our week long stay. Stephanie is super responsive, friendly and helpful as the owner. This is our third time at Ocean Isle Beach, second time at this house. It’s a wonderful location and it’s like a home away from home for us, the kids and the grandkids. Beach time in the morning, pool time in the afternoon. Tough to beat. Hosts are great!

The best part about this property is the pool, location to the beach, town center, and restaurants. An elevator would be nice to have. The owners need to have a deep cleaning done in the house, and have maintenance performed. Hiring a handyman would be beneficial. The high ceiling fan in the living room needs replaced, as it is loosely hanging and has to be manually spun to get it working. At least the air conditioner worked! The two air filters need changed. Shower heads had growth in them, as well as other areas. The primary bath shower doors were short and allowed water to be splashed outside of the shower. The kitchen garbage disposal needs some work or replaced. The upstairs carpet was dirty, and the LVP/tile downstairs left your bare feet filthy. There were several roaches found in the house. The outside/pool/beach closet needs organization. The house needs attention, and a remodel would have made us feel better about paying the rate charged for the week.

While we were glad to help you resolve the ceiling fan over the phone during your stay, we wish we had known about the other items so we could have dispatched our handyman right away. Cleanliness is a top priority for us, and our team would have gladly returned to re-clean any areas to your satisfaction. Regarding the palmetto bugs, our property is treated by professionals twice a month. As any North Carolina beachgoer knows, these pests thrive in our summer heat and humidity, but we always do our best to keep them at bay and can easily schedule extra treatments when needed. While an elevator or major remodel are not part of our current layout, we take great pride in our home and continuously invest in updates every year to maximize comfort for our guests. We wish you all the best in finding a place more suitable for your needs and expectations in the future!

Wonderful Getaway

We had a wonderful getaway from the coronavirus pandemic to this beautiful home on OIB! Everything was perfect, from the beautiful home, to the well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, to the pool which provided many memorable moments. The location is perfect, walking distance to shops, restaurants, arcades, mini golf, ice cream, and the pier. I have been going to OIB for 30 years and am not sure I have ever had a better experience, we will definitely be staying at this home again!

Great Family-Friendly House

We had a great time and would recommend this property! Very child-friendly house. Easy and close walk to the beach. A beach view from the back upper porch and dining room. Nice backyard and pool. The wall switch labels was a great touch! Wish we could have stayed longer.

15th anniversary

We loved our stay. The house was so clean and the location is perfect. Anything that was wrong the owners took care of immediately. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting OIB. There were an abundance of seating at the pool, beach supplies like umbrellas and beach chairs, extra propane for the grill if needed. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Stephanie

Hi! We're Lee and Stephanie Styers, based in Raleigh, NC with a young son (Dylan), dog (Dobby) and cat (Butters). In 2010, we went abroad to teach English as a Second Language in a small town in Thailand, and haven't stopped traveling the world since. While traveling and staying in many different places from hostels to BnBs, we've taken note of what makes a place positively memorable, comfortable and feel like a home away from home. We're excited to take our travel experiences to create The Sugar Aisle, a genuinely special place at OIB!

Why the name "The Sugar Aisle"? - we were at the grocery store one day when Stephanie asked Lee "is this the sugar aisle"? Lee, confused, said "no, I think the sugar is a few rows over"... then he realized that Stephanie was playfully asking for a kiss on the cheek! Later that evening, Stephanie remarked that "if we ever have a beach house, we should call it The Sugar Aisle". And thus a dream was born...

Though we've been to every continent (except Antarctica), Ocean Isle Beach is by far our favorite home away from home! Lee's parents used to own a small deli (Ocean Twist Deli) that he spent several summers working at, making gourmet sandwiches during the day and heading to the beach afterwards. As we were planning our future together, we always dreamed of owning our own Ocean Isle Beach home for our young growing family to come spend sunny summers and relaxing off-season weeks at!

This house happens to also be so incredibly comfortable inside with furniture made for lounging and curling up with a good book, inviting outdoor rocking chairs that overlook the ocean, and a pool reminiscent of a Palm Springs resort. We immediately felt a happy and loving energy with this home and knew it was the perfect spot at OIB!
