Lovely Stay

We had a fabulous time staying here! It’s charming, clean, private and the views can not be beat. You can easily uber or taxi anywhere, and the beach and many great restaurants are with in walking distance. There were whales galore so be sure to bring your binoculars!

Great place to observe what’s going on PV but without the party energy of Malecon. I came to rest and look at the ocean and this place afforded me both. The walk up the hill is indeed steep.

Fantastic view in El Cento

Beautiful room and outdoor space. Walk up a high hill and many stairs to be above the city with encompassing views. Convenient to everything. Sylvie is a wonderful host, and she answered our questions and helped us out without delay.

Amazing spot!

We had such an amazing time staying in this penthouse. The pool, views and proximity to getting to so many places was amazing. We did quite a bit of walking right from where we were staying and not only was it beautiful but we felt safe and while the hike up can be steep, we still managed to walk it many times. Sylvie was a very attentive host and made sure we were all safe

We absolutely loved our stay at this penthouse. Was amazing. Sylvie keep the flat incredibly clean and was very communicative and caring. We had a lovely time. Great view, pool is awesome, and the location is super close to places to eat and explore. Will be coming back for sure!

Million Dollar View

We just got back from 8 days in Sylvie's penthouse and everything was amazing. The view is like no other, the plunge pool and lounge areas were perfect to spend our afternoons and evenings watching the whales and boats, listening to music, and playing cribbage and backgammon. We've been coming to PV for the last 10 years and this was our favorite experience. Sylvie is kind, thoughtful, and was very accommodating of our needs, communicating and getting back to us in a timely manner. We were definitely sad to leave.

Great View

Wonderful 6 day stay. Sylve was very helpful - arranging a fellow to take us from/to the airport, suggestions for restaurants, activities, etc. Breakfast of various fruits, juices, and muffins. View -the whole city below you. Very clean! Get in the pool - it is warmer than it initially feels. Our phones suggested that it is was 10-12 floors from the shoreline up the STEEP hill to Sylve's, but my 80 y/o legs did it daily.

Best getaway EVER

This is a beautiful property! So comfortable in every way. The outdoor living space is spectacular and there simply cannot be a better view in the entire city. I saw a trillion whales from the pool / patio . Amazing experience all around. The hill is no big deal, and should not deter anyone with normal mobility and fitness. You are very close to the beach and the Malecon as well as lots of restaurants, if you want to be around others. I enjoyed just being alone in the beauty and peace. Perfect!Sylvie was the very best kind of hostess. She was helpful, kind, and unobtrusive. Highly recommend!

Such a Gem of a Place

We stayed at Sylvie's suite for a few days in March 2024. The location is very nicely located in Centro. Like the listing says there is a steep road getting up to it but completely manageable. The view from the patio/pool deck is fantastic and we watched the sunset every night from it. The room and bathroom are a enough for 2 people. The only bit of information that is possibly incorrect is the bed is most likely a double and not a queen. There were amazing choices of eateries within a few blocks of the suite (not the Malecon restaurants - true authentic Mexican food). The bus station is just down the hill and can take you all the way to Boca de Tomatlan if you like.

Best view around!

Nice quiet and private space. The highlight of this is the private terrace and it’s wading pool, lounging area and outdoor palapa covered kitchenette. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the terrace and it’s 270 degree view of the Bahia de Banderas, Puerto Vallarta, as well as the nightly sunsets and fireworks. This place is half a kilometre uphill from the beach and close to the Malecón Boardwalk and many good restaurants. The room itself and ensuite are on the small side, but sufficient, very clean and quite comfortable. If you want to get away from your TV/electronics/white noise, this is a great place to unwind and recharge your batteries. The only trade off to it all is the steep climb to get to it. Many taxis and Ubers can’t or won’t make it or attempt it up the last 200m
 but the view and tranquility are worth it! We were very well received by Sylvia and she was very attentive and responsive to our enquires. Definitely a place to remember and visit again!

Excellent rooftop oasis!

This space is truly gorgeous. We loved being up and away from the bustling city noise and the rooftop plunge pool was just divine on a hot day. Do note that the property is up a VERY steep hill!! We asked Sylvia to put us in touch with a driver and met Santiago—highly recommend you do the same!!! He is friendly, accommodating, and offers tours outside the city that were one of the highlights of our trip!! The actual living space inside in quite small—we felt a bit cramped after our week stay. Additionally, Sylvia is VERY present as a host. She came up unexpectedly multiple times to water plants, take pictures of previous damage, and texted frequently to make sure we were “following the rules” (for example she accused us of having kids over to the property—my partner and I were clear that we were traveling alone and did NOT have any kids in the space.) This made it feel more like a shared property rather than a truly private dwelling, so be aware of that before booking.

We had the opportunity to stay at the penthouse and waking up with a cup of with those views was amazing and relaxing. Our stay was definitely what we were looking for of having daily walks to centro, walks to restaurants and relaxed with the amazing views. Sylvie was a great host. Spectacular Experience!!!

This villa sits above the central district of Vallarta and has mesmerizing views of the city and bay. We walked to the Farmer's market Saturday morning and spent the rest of the day sitting on the deck enjoying the private pool and watching the activity below. The hill getting to the villa is steep so we took a taxi back up a couple of times ($5), otherwise, you can walk from one end of town to the other. The host was easily accessible for questions, and the airport service made everything completely "no hassle". Thanks go to Sylvie and Jamie for the great stay!

Best view in PV!

Amazing views! Bring a pair of binoculars to watch the dolphins, whales, cruise ships, etc. Also a wonderful breeze to keep you cool on the upper patio. Excellent property, well equipped with great privacy. Location is great away from the hustle and bustle of PV yet only a short walk if you wanted to be in the action. Grocery store is close by which is awesome. Sylvie our host and Jamie our property manager were wonderful and attentive. We suggest a good pair of walking shoes as it’s hilly. We highly recommend.

The expansive view from Villa la Vista and the gentle ocean breezes from the sea create a profound sense of peace and contentment in this place that can heal body, mind and spirit. And yet the Centro/ 5 de diciembre neighborhood remains close to activities and attractions while retaining its native, Mexican charm.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

While the Centro/5 de diciembre neighborhood is only minutes from the center of town and its tourist-friendly attractions, it offers a more laid-back experience with cobblestone streets, small family-run stores and a mix of foreign and Mexican residents. A few blocks away from Villa la Vista, shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach provide plenty to experience. And from the terrace or the pool, the Bay view offers parasailers drifting across the sky, birds swooping and dipping above the waves and boats plying the waters. On a clear day, you can see forever -- and nearly every day is clear and offers a view to the horizon, unbroken view of 27 kilometers (16 miles) of sea and sky, clouds and crashing waves -- and, in the winter months, a distant view of cavorting whales.

In terms of amenities, the Penthouse is designed to be like a hotel suite-- one with a private pool, mini-bar, outdoor shower, palapa and terrace. We provide a microwave, coffeemaker, kettle, a few dishes and tableware. But for your suite's "room service" , call the food delivery services (UberEats, Raffi, etc) to bring orders to the door. Or venture out to sample Puerto Vallarta's more than 1,000 restaurants -- and enjoy your time on the town!
