Harbor Springs 2 Bedroom Cottage Close to Boyne Highlands & Nubs Nob

Located between Nub's Nob and Boyne Highlands, this quiet cottage is tucked back in the woods and ready for your vacation. You will be just a short drive away from golfing, skiing, beaches, zip lining, horseback riding and much more. This property is only a 10 min drive from Harbor Springs and 12 min from Petoskey. Both towns offer great shopping, activities, casual and fine dining.

This cottage has 1 bathroom and 1 bedroom downstairs with a queen bed. Upstairs loft has 3 full-sized beds. Living area has a 48" flat screen TV and dedicated high-speed internet, hardwood floors, A/C , forced-air natural gas furnace and a wood stove. Kitchen is well-equipped with refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee-maker and toaster. There is a cozy outdoor patio outback with propane and charcoal grills and a firepit for evening bonfires.

We chose this location because my boys wanted to ski. It was great for being close to skiing. The cottage was nice and cozy, well stocked, and clean. The hosts were very friendly and easy to work with. The cottage was also pet friendly.

Definitely had pet friendly elements which were not used or needed by us since we didn't bring a pet along for our trip. The house was impressive and had a welcoming vibe. Cabin style/rustic quality which truly reiterated the overall theme that we enjoyed of feeling "off the grid" and able to be in-sync with the surrounding nature. We did NOT ski, but I'm sure this would've been a great location had that been the purpose for our trip. We instead came for a birthday retreat to the Tunnel of Trees. The consideration that was shown by our hosts was highly appreciated and felt as tho they "pulled out all of the stops" to insure that we were comfortable and cared for. Huge appreciation from me to you for the birthday inspired trinkets and adds that y'all provided. Rest assured that my lady was appreciative of your attention to detail as much as I was.

The location is great and we really enjoyed having our two small dogs with us. The place is tiny and it would be uncomfortable sharing the bathroom with anyone other than my spouse. The first floor bedroom has a very comfortable mattress. I slept well, despite being used to a King bed, this is a queen. The one negative was there was no hot water in the bathroom sink. The owners were super nice and very easy to check in and out.

Very disappointed with condition of the property. We couldn't even enjoy a nice time outside as nothing had been cared for that we would use. Like chairs (fabric faded and extremely dirty, including leaves, dirt/sand and spider webs that were left for us to deal with before using. It was obvious a major storm had gone thru weeks/months prior to our stay. See photos.Listed as a "cottage". Should have said "Bob's cabin".We are far from being picky people and really didn't want to give a poor review. This is just honest.

The cabin worked. It was enough to enjoy our stay in Petosky and Harbor Springs. The complaint I have is that the cabin wasn’t very clean. A broken screen on the back door being held together by duct tape. A bit of trash around the cabin and the weeds around the cabin we’re becoming over grown. Easy check in and check out. Owners left us nice instructions for the cabin.

John and Dianne are wonderful hosts. We ve returned for 4 years running. The cabin is simple and clean. Pet friendly which is why we return. Little things like -the mints and the Coffee / simple kitchen provisions well stocked. The little outer room lets us keep the bikes out of the weather. Close enough for a day over the bridge --and a simple drive to H. Springs or over to Petoskey. We LOVE the Petoskey Brewery and the North West Bike trail. Chances are very good we'll be back.

The cabin met our needs-a place to crash while we explored the area. Love the owners. They are friendly and remembered that we had rented another property of theirs 2/3 years ago. I thought that was pretty cool.

Absolutely Wonderful!

Even before we got there, the communication with the owners was amazing! Wonderful cabin in the woods. Maybe 10 minutes max from downtown Harbor Springs, 2 seconds to Boyne Highlands and via the back way super close to Alanson and of course Petoskey. For bicycle riding/or driving the Tunnel of Trees this couldn't have been a better place. We really appreciated being able to bring our babies (2 small dogs) with us. They LOVED it there too! Was very well equipped which was helpful as we prefer to make our own meals instead of going out all the time. Super cozy. If you're looking for peace and quiet in the woods, this is the place!!! Thanks again to John and Dianna!

Nice enough place

Nice quiet location. Kind of dirty (found dried up pizza on one of the kitchen drawer's exterior), especially in the bathroom and it smelled of animals in the entire place. If you're good with that, it will do the trick. Otherwise, I would not recommend it.

Great cabin!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was immaculate, comfortable and very well equipped. Close drive to downtown but you feel you’re in the woods and away from it all. Would definitely stay again! Hosts communicated well and check in was easy.

Winter get away

We stayed for 3 weeks to enjoy northern Michigan snow sports. We enjoyed our time in this cute cottage with very responsive and helpful hosts.
