Un spacieux appartement moderne, meublé et ensoleillé, au cœur du pays de Frank Lloyd Wright. Le studio est idéal pour tout, d’une escapade de week-end à Chicago à une petite réunion préparatoire. Le décor est sur le thème de la musique, les percussions, les anches et les petits instruments à cordes abondent, ce qui donne un double sens à "studio"..

The location was excellent and the garage was a nice plus. The weather change made things a bit uncomfortable for one night. Communication through the VRBO app was a bit clunky, but generally sufficient.

Nice place

The coach house is a great place if you’re looking for a short stay outside of the city. Rhonda is a great host and very accommodating. For long term stays, not having a stove is a disadvantage but that was no surprise and I was able to plan around it. Oak Park is a great neighbourhood if you’re looking for somewhere more quiet and residential. Overall, good experience.

Great space!

My boyfriend and I very much enjoyed this space, the neighborhood, and use of the garage this property offers. - We had some issues with the wifi, but our host, Rhonda, was all over trying to rectify that for us. She responded to all our messages within minutes. - You will likely run into an extremely friendly cat during your visit. Chloe was a welcome bonus! I wanted to bring her home. - If you’re a fan of vinyl, Val’s Halla Records is only about a block away. The people working there were great, and we dropped a good bit of money on records and T-shirts. - On Rhonda’s suggestion, we also enjoyed breakfast one morning at Buzz Café. We were not disappointed. ---- Some things you'll want to know if you're renting this property in the future. - There is no TV in the space, but Rhonda was very willing to provide a monitor, HDMI cord, and an HDMI adapter so we could stream from our laptops. - The only fridge in the unit is a dorm size fridge. There is a second dorm-size fridge at the base of the stairs. This was plenty for us, but if you want to host a feast you might need to take that into consideration. - The Murphy bed is SUPER comfortable but rather small. I ended up sleeping on the Murphy bed while my boyfriend slept on an air mattress. We'd discussed this option with Rhonda prior to arriving, and it worked well for us.

Cozy and Connected

The host is incredibly accommodating! I forgot a few things at my stay and they were able to help me out with a few things. I was also able to get my work done with a great WiFi connection. My dog and I had a great time connecting with the outdoors while also getting to have a dance party with the house speaker system. The parks nearby are absolutely beautiful! I can’t forget to mention how close it is to the city. I was grateful to have a warm shower, indoor garage parking, and quiet nights.

Excellent location near art district

Best Host Ever

I stayed at this property with my band while we were on tour. We were looking for somewhere quiet to recuperate and this turned out to be the perfect spot! Hi Mary - Sorry to learn after your stay that you weren't completely comfortable. Next time, let's correct: You can sleep in the fold out blow up queen bed that is the couch. For a softer bed let some air out. For a firmer bed, you could fill it all the way. Hope to host you next year!

Quick weekend stay

I had nothing but an amazing experience communicating with Rhonda. She was super helpful and accommodated my family's need. They were unsure of time of arrival but Rhonda met them when they got to destination and allowed for a easy stay. Wow!

The studio is the upper floor of a garage and is fully complete with everything you may need. In fact, it's a little like a hotel suite but with all the little things handy that you might need from home. Self check-in was easy. The weather was gorgeous so I opened the french doors onto the yard. At night the central air felt heavenly and the bed was super comfortable! The place was super spacious and clean and the neighborhood is quiet, green and lovely. Parking in the garage was a bonus. I left my car in there and caught the blue line train, 25 mins to Chicago's downtown. Rhonda clearly takes pride and joy in her instrument collection and I'm a musician so I loved that theme. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

I've lived with my own family in the main house in front of the studio for ten years. We LOVE the space and are happy to share it. I know a lot about what to do, see and eat in Chicago and happy to answer your local questions! I provide excellent customer service and love to cater to special requests as you're planning your stay.

Our coach house is 15 years old, climate controlled and extremely convenient to local Oak Park activities and to downtown Chicago. The train is a 5 minute walk and the train ride to Chicago’s downtown “Loop” takes 25 minutes. A microwave, coffee maker and coffee, and a queen size air mattress (in addition to the bed) are in the apartment. We're happy to accommodate with many amenities. Inquire about ground transportation & tours of Oak Park and Chicago.
