L'ocĂ©an au-dessus du lagon depuis la vĂ©randa (balcon), vous ĂȘtes si proche que vous entendrez l'ocĂ©an et verrez les vagues entrer de cĂŽtĂ© dans le lagon. Profitez de regarder les poissons et les tortues nager dans le lagon et le phare au loin. Les bruits de la mer vous endormiront aprĂšs une journĂ©e de visites ou de dĂ©tente.

Hale Kona Kai est un petit complexe de 3 douzaines de condos en bord de mer absolus en ville mais hors des sentiers battus! Situé dans une rue calme (75-5870 Kahakai Road) et à quelques pas du village de Kailua-Kona, également connu sous le nom de Kona Town. Hale Kona Kai est à seulement un quart de rue de la plage de sable blanc de Honl et à deux rues du marché de Kona Farmers.

Great view from the balcony and plenty of basic necessities stocked in the kitchen. Extra beach gear at the condo was a plus so we didn’t have to bring our own. This was our second stay here and love being able to walk to town.

Perfect location and wonderful balcony to watch the waves roll in. The unit was clean and comfortable. A chopping board could be added to the kitchen, we couldn’t locate one. Other than that, we used the beach chairs, snorkel gear, umbrella and all available accessories. Thank you.

This condo and management are great. They are updating the A/C and notified us they put portable units in each condo bedroom while working on the ac which I appreciated during sleep. They still were waiting on parts but communicated all updates through email. The sound of the ocean waves can be heard from the bedroom and Lanai, the Lagoon next door was great to wade in or snorkel. The condo was very clean and art deco nice. Coffee and cookies were waiting upon our arrival. The kitchen and bathroom had all necessary supplies, cooking dishes, utensils and anything needed. My only negative would be the musty smell, just sprayed a little air freshener. The washer & dryer are outside on the same floor, 2.00 each load to wash and to dry. The farmers mkt and Kona shopping village are within walking distance. Pool very clean and refreshing. Been to several vrbo’s, you can tell this management company takes pride and care here. I would stay here again.

Surf and Serenity

This convenient condo has everything you need to enjoy The Big Island. We saw a dolphin pod 2 mornings from the balcony while eating breakfast. There is a constant sound of surf hitting the rocks below which we found soothing for sleep.

The property itself is great. This is the 4th time we've stayed (or tried to stay) in this complex. We rely heavily on A/C and didn't know/weren't told that the A/C for the whole building went out about a week before we got there. There was no note in the unit and we got in after a long travel day to a hot, stuffy condo. FORTUNATELY, we found an office person still on the grounds (who wasn't there officially) who enlightened us and tried hard to help with our first night. She also alerted the manager who was in almost immediate contact the next morning. We moved properties to something completely different but with A/C.Disappointed to lose the first 24 hrs of our stay with this problem solving but a very acceptable alternative was provided. We'd stay at this very condo in the future once the building A/C system is dependable. (They're working on it. It has a new system but it needs some parts.)

Location of this property was Amazing. Furniture and bathroom are a bit dated but well with in acceptable accommodations. The Lagoon next to the property claims to be private property of the hotel but were available for use to use. Bring your aqua socks, lava and coral will cut your feet .

Beautiful view

It was perfect for our week stay, birthday week for my boyfriend!!! It had a great view. The only thing I would say is it had a mildew smell when you first came in, but once the windows were opened and AC was running it wasn’t as bad. The shower was older and the doors did not slide on the track smoothly, but the water pressure and hot water was AMAZING!!! Overall a fantastic stay for the price!!!

Hake Kona Kai

The condo we rented was beautifully decorated, the kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need (and it was all very good quality), the furniture was beautiful and comfortable! The property managers Ryan and Angela were both VERY friendly and helpful! We loved our stay there and hated to leave! We will definitely will book there again for our next visit to Kona!!

Fall asleep to the sound of the waves

This condo was a good value for the price. It had all the amenities we might need-even equipment for day trips, beach and snorkeling. The A/C worked well. The view was lovely and I never tired of hearing the ocean waves right below us. It was quiet as it is off the main drag, Alii Dr. but yet easy walking distance to everything. The managers were very receptive to our needs.

Fantastic condo in Kona paradise

We spent 10 nights in 411 and absolutely loved staying there. It had everything we needed for our stay plus a few extra items in the cupboards for our use during the day. Great views from the lanai and it was so nice to hear the sounds of the waves on the rocks. A short stroll to Kona village or the beach and it's on a quiet street so no traffic. We didn't even bother with the air con as the fans & breeze were enough.

Relaxing location

This unit was well stocked in the kitchen with everything you need! the views were almost perfect, the sounds of the waves crashing made the visit even more relaxing. Parking was assigned so never looking for a spot to park. Even extra beach chairs, towels and more for your visit. Every night we were walking into town for exercise and or dinner. your close to everything you need. We had a great stay and would highly recommend you stay at # 411

Great Location/Perfect Unit

Hale Kona Kai is a relatively small cozy complex well maintained within a two minute walk from The shops/restaurants of Kona Village. Directly on the water it's views are stunning. Just spent two weeks in the unit which Is well stocked and furnished. There's a convenient elevator which makes this top floor unit accessible even for someone with mobility issues. Already made reservations to return in two months which should say it all!

It’s all about the location

Let’s start with the good. The location was absolutely amazing. The condo sits approx 40’ above crashing waves. We so enjoyed the view. And we had a two block walk to restaurants and shopping. As for the condo itself, it was just OK. The furniture and rugs are all dated. The bed was actually quite comfortable, but the condo never seemed to be truly clean. Peeling paint on door jambs and heavily stained bathtub didn’t help.

No one does it better!

I've been going to Hale Kona Kai for years now. Its proximity to town, views of the water and excellent management (Thank you Adeline and Taina!) keep me coming back. Condo 411 is my favorite condo there with its lagoon and sea view, soft crooning of the luaus at Royal Kona next door plus a fully stocked closet of snorkeling gear, beach chairs & whatever goodies guests leave behind. (Not all of the condos do this). I can't wait to be back. Aloha and a hui hou!

Big Island week

The property was well equipped, especially the kitchen. We turned off the AC and just listened to the waves. It was important to run the dishwasher daily since it got bugs quickly. Management was notified about a stuck screen door on Thursday, 3 days later we called again and was told it was up to the handyman’s schedule when it would be fixed. It was not fixed. Beautiful views and good location.

Amazing Place!

Words cannot describe how perfect this condo is. The sounds of the ocean along with being able to look over the lagoon made for a very relaxing stay. The condo was very clean with beach chairs in the closet. The bed was very comfortable along with the sofa bed. Easily the most comfortable sofa bed I have ever stayed on. We had a rental car but didn't even end up using it because everything was in walking distance. The beach, restaurants, and shops. The pool was perfect and we had an absolutely amazing time. On the first day, our air conditioner broke, and Adeline worked very hard to get it fixed within 24 hours! She was on it and we felt very taken care of the whole time. We are already looking into our next stay at Hale Kona Kai and possibly buying a condo there because we loved it that much!

5 stars is for the location and property. We had a very pleasant time and enjoyed meals on the lanai and afternoons in the pool. If I could rate #411 alone, I'd rate it a bit lower at 4 stars. The bathroom could use an update and there's an unusual smell in the living room, coming from the rug. It's the same chemical smell that's in the hallway so I assume it's the cleaning agent used to clear the indoor/outdoor carpeting as well as the rug. Admittedly, I'm sensitive to chemical smells. Overall, Hale Kona Kai is a great value and great location.
