Barefoot Way est une propriété de domaine en bord de mer sur la section de la Gold Coast de Captiva Island. Entièrement rénové en 2018! Gorgeous house on a quiet beach

When the kids were down with the beach they swam in the pool. Everything was great and the house was perfect for 2 families.

Large Home on the Gulf

My only complaint is the photos do not match the bedrooms and need to be updated. We were expecting 1 bedroom to have 2 bunk beds. It did not.

This caused a little issue with one of our guests. Overall, the house is beautiful in a great location with great amenities. This house needs to have an owner's manual with directions and marked remotes for each of the spaces. All the little things that were in disrepair we chalked up to it being the end of the season. Overall, we had a great time and would stay again.

This beautiful home was able to accommodate all 10 of our family members with room to spare. The pool and the lower game room was used extensively by all. The few questions that we had were immediately answered by the AMRC staff. We would rank this property a 6 on a 1-5 was beyond our expectations.We will rent this property again the next time we stay on Captiva Island.

The house is an amazing liocation, just steps to the ocean and the amazing sunsets. The house was very clean and well stocked. Unfortunately hurricane Helene decided to join us. American reality went above and beyound with communication and preparations. Lisa and Albert, the same folks that we spoke to while renting, were the same people that called with information and came to the house to prep us for what was coming. We could not be more appreciative of the attention that was given to us and could not think of a better place to ride out a storm.

The house was perfect, a lot has gone into it to get it back in shape. The landscaping was tremendous, still needs to grow however lots of new, beautiful plants. Reviewer Comments: Our family has been coming down to the tropics for 20 years,we’ve been to South Carolina, east coast of Florida, St. Thomas Island in the Caribbean and a few other locations. Barefoot Way in Captiva is the best place we’ve ever stayed at. The house was so nice with the awesome pool, and the beach access was amazing. There was 10 of us plus our 2 grand babies that were in the house for a week and we had plenty of room for all our needs. The location of the house was perfect so close to Sanibel and Captiva for places to go. This is the first place that we’ve stayed at that none of us wanted to leave, it was true piece of paradise!!! We definitely want to stay there again. Thanks again for making our vacation so perfect. Russ and Daphne Johnson and family!!!

They even surprised us with a large gift certificate to a local restaurant. The house of course was beautiful and fully stocked with cooking utensils.The elevator was a life saver for taking up luggage.Even after Ian the area where we were was almost normal.

Family Beach Getaway

Beautiful home on the beach. Large enough for our family of 8 adults. We enjoyed the kitchen and the pool and the beach. Our biggest complaint was the homeowner needs to disclose that the 2nd master upstairs is locked and unavailable. Also, the mattresses downstairs were uncomfortable and we had issues with the temperature differences in the downstairs bedrooms. The house has a beautiful view of the sunset and the location is nice and private and close to fun restaurants and activities.

Beautiful home right on the beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a perfect week we had in Captiva at Barefoot Way. The house is amazing. Right on the beach with a huge pool, big rooms with comfy beds and great common spaces — den, great room, breakfast nook and kitchen are all perfect. Sonos speakers throughout made listening to tunes easy and enjoyable. Elevator was critical throughout stay, including rolling our full cooler to the beach every day. Local rental agencies have all delivered to the house before, so dropoff and pickup of paddle boards, golf cart, baby equipment and initial groceries was a breeze. Would recommend this house for any group, including families with kids. Game room downstairs was a lot of fun. Equipment is a little beat up, but as to be expected given its a rental, and it all worked so OK. American Realty was super responsive to any inquiries. One negative surprise was that the retractable screen controls on the main level back porch aren’t accessible to the renters so there was no way to have the porch screened in, which at night was an issue. We basically couldn’t sit on the back porch in the evenings despite citronella candles and bug spray as the bugs start swarming around sunset and continue into the night. This isn’t something to not rent the house over, but good to know going in, and maybe something the owners could reconsider. Overall an incredible stay and we would love to go back!

Great but could be amazing!

First off let me say that we did thoroughly enjoy our stay and thought the place was wonderful. My comments are more based on the fact that price point did not meet typical high end standards it should have. At nearly 20k for the week, I find it crazy that the owner would lock one of the only two water front view bedrooms, and also lock the workout room. There is very little in the house for a typical vacation - not even soap dishes or hand towels in the baths. Place was super clean and great - just found that our prior luxury rentals seemed to have more amenities for this price point. The house easily sleeps 20 but they lock it to 10 and charge the same amount as others.

A wonderful, updated , place! Sunsets were spectacular!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A Wonderful, relaxing holiday! We only had 1 problem , the coffee pot died. Someone delivered a new coffee pot within a few hours . The location is in the middle of Captiva and Sanibel. ( a car ,golf cart or bikes are needed) The beach felt like our own personal private beach. We would definitely book this beautiful place again. It felt like an exclusive resort, you won’t want to leave.
