The Courtyard Suite, Pool is open May to August

The Courtyard Suite has a king bed. The bathroom has a walk in shower. We allow a maximum of two guests at the property.

The guest house is attached to the main house via a breezeway. There is a covered pavilion where you can grill and eat. The courtyard has a pool that is open from May through late September. We have over an acre fenced in backyard with a walking trail. The home is pet friendly. Friendly pets can run free in the backyard but need a leash around the courtyard/pool area.

There are two friendly cats on the property. They are current on their shots.

The peaceful, quiet atmosphere. I saw deer in the meadow! Hosts are very unobtrusive but available when needed. I really enjoy this place!

We enjoyed our stay. Weather aside. Came for the pool and enough room for dog to be comfortable. Enjoyed walks with dog and deer sightings.

That morning, I wish to leave they canceled so I wasn’t able to stay there. I had to make other plans at the last minute.I was so looking forward in staying there again it’s a beautiful place. I don’t know what wrong but they canceled on me very very, very disappointed.

Guest house

Amazing property, large fenced area for our dog, beautiful studio guest house with everything you may need in kitchen, nice king bed, great TV reception. It rained most of the during our stay but staying in was just great. With the pool and patio this would be a excellent warm weather getaway.

It was perfect for what we needed!

I stayed here on the last leg of a cross country trip with my pup. I chose it because of the huge fenced-in yard and remote setting. The yard...I would describe it more as "grounds". It's such a pretty space with a walking path all the way around it and flowers in bloom. It's very charming and peaceful, which I wanted for a recovery day. Communication with the host was very timely and they came out when I arrived late in the evening to make sure I found my way ok. I appreciated that. I wasn't quite sure about the kitchen since I usually boil water in the morning and make some of my own food while traveling. No problem. They basically have a kitchen in a closet...portable stove burners, huge oven, and a very large griddle. The bed was very comfortable and everything worked out great. Just one note for anyone who has allergies. I don't have allergies so I was fine, but you can tell that the bathroom used to be a prime smoking location. Again, it wasn't a problem for me as it is not near the bed or the kitchen, but it is quite noticeable when you're in the bathroom. I would absolutely stay here again if passing through Joplin. I bet it is just gorgeous in even warmer months. There are some very pretty water falls not far from this property. We went at sunset and there were several others there as well. It was so peaceful. There are also really nice walking paths along the river nearby. Anyway...5 stars.

Uncomfortable

No hubo absoluta privacidad. La familia podia ver desde su sala y cocina mientras usabamos la alberca, el dueño uso en 2 ocasiones el asador se supone que rentamos, el area esta cercada pero mis perros no podian estar sueltos porque el tiene 2 gatos viviendo en esa area. Nos fuimos a la 2a noche aunque rente 4. No regresaremos y no lo recomiendo si te gusta la privacidad.

What’s absolutely amazing

Everything was as advertised. The swimming pool looks amazing. It’s nice and quite. Very peaceful. Very easy to understand the directions and how to get into the house

Nice just to be able to sit around poolside and chill out around the awesome pool he has and he he is great host make sure everything was taken care of answered all my phone calls came to check on us to make sure everything was all right it was really easy when we decided to stay another right. Definitely stay out there again

very nice

its a very nice place to stay, have stayed here before and will again. A real bonus is the large fenced in area in the back for the dogs, with a paved walking trail. Highly recommended.

A beautiful place that needs better cleaning

I swept the floor as soon as we got there. But our feet still ended up turning black from dirt on floor. There was pet hair everywhere. We don't have pets, but were walking around with pet hair on our clothes. The sheets smelled clean, but had ugly stains on them. However, the grounds of the house were lovely. It was quiet and peaceful there. And the pool was fun. Dominic was very friendly and recommended a delicious Mexican restaurant for dinner.

First of all, there was no one to greet us. This was our first time renting using a VRBO so there was no standard check-in. We walked up to the guest house and it was already unlocked so we just walked in. This practice may be normal with VRBO to not meet anyone but kinda troubling as anyone could have just walked right in, regardless of if they had a reservation. The chances of this were probably pretty small though it would have been nice if they took security a little better. Relaxing in the pool would have been nice except the pool was dirty on the bottom of it and didn’t look pleasing to go into. The patio was covered in dust and looked unappealing to sit on. The room was not very clean though the room was comfortable. Walking in, we found a used Q-Tip on the floor which was quite disgusting. The bed was not made and had multiple stains. Also, we were walking around barefoot in the room and our feet got filthy. There was a rug in the entryway that was tattered and didn’t look very nice. The room needed a little TLC and it would have been much better. For all the unpleasantness, the upside is that the area was very nice, the yard was very upkept, and the room was decorated nicely. Unfortunately, the bad outweighed the good. For me, this experience has turned me off from VRBO.
