Large stone house on a hill peacefully overlooking the grounds and Barnard St. Knotty pine throughout for a warm old feel and decorated with fine western art. Five spacious and comfortable bedrooms each with a private bathroom. Outdoor covered grill (charcoal) area with tables, hot tub, and an old Chuck Wagon for looks! Everything that you need for the perfect get away, the house is fully equipped with dishes, cookware, coffee & coffee pots, sheets, towels, just bring the food! We also have a game room with giant Jinga and other games for your pleasure. Located just a couple blocks from the charming downtown square and walking distance to shopping and many restaurants. Conveniently located and close to all of the attractions.

Warm pleasant stay

Our team of 10 was able to relax and enjoy our stay last week. It was just what we needed. Plenty of bedrooms, good parking and convenient location to Riverbend camp. I think many other people will enjoy a night or two here as well.

Even better than the pictures!

Our cycling team rented Ron & Melissa's house for the Gravel Locos bike race in Hico. The house was even bigger and better than it looked in the pictures. It served as team headquarters for the weekend with plenty of room for team dinners on Friday and Saturday nights. Unbelievable location within walking distance of downtown Glen Rose. Beautiful property and very private feeling. Everything you need for an amazing weekend- we used the grill, the hot tub, foos ball table, etc. The hosts were easy to work with and very helpful and responsive. Would 100% book here again! Can't recommend enough.

Perfect home for a perfect Family Christmas

This was the second year in a row that we were blessed to spend three days in a perfect home for our family of 11! The Christmas decorations were throughout the immaculately clean 5 bedroom, 5.5 bath home away from home. It was perfect for our granddaughter's family wedding shower in the game room and our Christmas in the living room around the fireplace. The house layout was perfect for having late-night games in the game room and the boy's oversized bedroom while we "olders" slept. Quiet time was enjoyed in the hot tub and the huge balcony off the living room overlooking the downtown area (walking distance from the home.) I have rented a home every year for over 20 years for our family get-together, and this is the only time we have returned to any of those twenty homes. I plan on doing the same next year. Thank you so much, Ron and Melissa! You were terrific hosts.

Best place in Glen Rose

This is the place to stay in Glen Rose. We had a party of 8 people and the house with 5 bedrooms easily accommodated our group. The rooms were spacious, the house was clean and the communication with the hosts was super easy. We’ll definitely rent again!!!!

Family Gathering

The homeowner was so gracious. Loved the location to town and a spacious home/property for our family to gather for an 85th B-Day celebration. So many amenities offered. We will be back and recommend to friends and family.

Laid back and relaxing

I really enjoyed the front porch for my morning coffee and afternoon relaxation. Our two pre-teens loved the game room. The home is spacious and comfortable and located on a nice breezy hill overlooking the historic downtown area. We stayed 5 days and enjoyed all the surrounding activities.

Everything you need!

The house has everything you need for a great stay in Glen Rose! The owners were super helpful and always close by if we needed anything. Loved that everyone had their own room and bathroom. The game room was a huge win with my 6 year old nephew. He loved the air hockey table! The house is in the perfect location. We had a great weekend. Highly recommend!!

Great location

This is a great house for families. The house is huge and tons of room outside for the kids to run around. Several different patios and decks to relax outside depending on the time of day. Easy walking distance to downtown square and Big Rocks park and just a short drive to Dinosaur Valley, Fossil Rim, etc.

Amazing Girls Weekend!

14 of my friends and I booked the house for a Girls Weekend. House was perfect! Plenty of space, and plenty of BATHROOMS! With all women, that’s important. Owners are great and we would recommend and may go back!

A wonderful weekend.

We had a terrific time staying here on our January 2021 Trip. The house worked perfect for 4 couples and their kids. We all enjoyed the game room...a wonderful large kitchen, two tables to eat at. A large concrete area for the kids to ride bikes. A grill, a firepit, a hot tub, outdoor chairs...I honestly don't know how the house could have worked any better. The house is only 2 blocks from the city square with a few local shops and a great park is only a couple blocks south of the city square. The hosts were wonderful. Easy to communicate with and very accomodating. We had a wonderful time.

Ron and Melissa Pew, we moved to Glen Rose 5 years ago with the idea of opening a B&B.
Ron retired from the automobile electronic component industry and Melissa [retired from the Insurance industry. We have enjoyed what this sweet small town has to offer, our children and grandchildren like it too. Ron and I like working together so we thought this would be a fun project and it would give us the chance to meet people from all over the globe, and hear their stories. We love people and we love serving, so this happens to be the perfect fun job for us.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Ron and I wanted to do something that would encourage others to interact with one another. We tried to created a space for people to unwind and enjoy either having fun in the game room, grilling, sitting in the hot tub, or just relaxing on the big covered porch or deck. Ron worked hard on putting a fun game room together and it has been the central attraction, he has also placed dinosaurs all over for the enjoyment of the kids and the young at heart (like him). This property had the perfect layout already so we just tried to utilize the spaces. We try to provide everything that you could possibly need while away from home to make it most comfortable. I really like the location, very close to downtown, and close to attractions so you can easily come back, rest and go again.
