This two bedroom cottage in a garden setting is the perfect escape. Originally part of the Maplewood Hotel, this cottage has been updated to give you all the comforts of home.

Central heat and Air, on demand hot water, fully stocked kitchen, WiFi, and smart TV will make your stay stress free. Surrounded by a picket fence, the garden feels like you have stepped back in time when life's pace was much slower than it is today.

Here in the garden, you can relax or grill out on the patio. In the evening you can sit around the fire pit, enjoying the warmth and smell of the fire. If you have children they will enjoy the swing set and seeing the deer that often roam through the property. Maplewood Cottages are designed to make your stay comfortable, simple, and relaxed.

We provide Linens, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, and a started pack of coffee K-cups.

Nestled behind a charming picket fence, Maplewood Cottage #2 offers the perfect retreat, combining vintage charm with modern comforts. Originally built in 1953 as part of the old Maplewood Hotel, the cottage has been thoughtfully renovated to meet today’s expectations while maintaining its nostalgic appeal.

This cozy two-bedroom, one-bath cottage features central heat and air, a fully-equipped kitchen, a coffee bar, and a sleek curbless shower. Stay connected with high-speed internet and enjoy entertainment on the Smart TV. The space is thoughtfully laid out, making it both functional and inviting.

Outside, you can unwind in the serene garden, fire up the grill on the patio, or enjoy evening conversations around the fire pit. For families with small children, there's even a swing set for hours of fun. While the cottage offers a peaceful escape surrounded by nature, please note it is not suitable for pets. If you are traveling with furry companions, we recommend exploring other nearby options.

You may see Allen during the day working in the garden or working on other aspects of the property. If Allen can be of any help, don't hesitate to ask.

Beautiful cabin, personal touches from host, wonderful garden with functional and private outside areas. We enjoyed the outside eating table, the grill, the fire pit, and the play set.

Maplewood Cottage is the perfect retreat in the middle of a “secret garden”.

We loved the beautifully restored cottage. Outside there are areas to grill, relax with a book or build a bonfire. Inside the rooms are well appointed with comfy beds, and a fully equipped kitchen. The host, Allen, even left snacks and provided 3 ways to brew coffee.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Perfect weekend getaway in Michigan

We really enjoyed our stay at this small cottage. There was plenty of room for the three of us. Very nice garden with lot of shade and places to sit. Everything was super clean, nothing was missing. The host was very attentive and welcoming.

The house was perfect for a quiet getaway weekend for two friends to catch up with each other. Allen was extra thoughtful leaving us a welcome note, snacks and allowed for early access and late check out. The house was immaculate, warm and cozy on a very chilly weekend. What an enchanting cottage. We were in town for a family wedding and this cottage was the perfect location for us. We were greeted by a hand written note from our host, Allen and snacks. What a great first impression. The cottage is immaculate, cosy and comfortable. The garden is naturally beautiful with areas for play, dining or enjoying an evening bonfire. Lovely Cottage Get-Away

A long-time friend and I met here, half-way between Michigan and Wisconsin. It was the perfect location...close to Paw Paw Lake, hiking paths, shopping, restaurants, and Lake Michigan beaches. The grounds were extremely well-kept with daffodils blooming, a new grill, clean outdoor tables, and plenty of parking. Inside was perfect for us as we each had our own bedroom with very comfy beds, a kitchen we could easily cook our own meals in, a nice hot shower, top-notch decorating, and super clean through-out. Allen, the manager, was very good about communicating how to lock/unlock the door and get ahold of him if needed. All-in-all, Maplewood Cottage was wonderful!
