3/4 Mile to the Beach - Breakfast Included - King Beds - Family & Dog Friendly

Fresh and fun 3 bed, 1 bath house halfway between South Haven and St. Joseph. Situated at the end of a neighborhood road, this house is the perfect place for your next family vacation. Ÿ Mile to Roadside Park, the nearest public beach, and 2 miles to Hagar Park Beach, with a big playground and beautiful beach. Drive 10-15 minutes north or south to countless other beaches in South Haven and St. Joseph.

The house has two bedrooms with KING SIZE BEDS and twin XL bunk beds in the third bedroom. The large kitchen has all the basics that you will need to save money by cooking at home including an instant pot and dishwasher. Fully stocked coffee bar has a drip coffee maker, Keurig, French Press, ground coffee and pods, cream and sugar, as well as hot chocolate, oatmeal, huge assortment of tea, and even some snacks. Full size washer and dryer with free and clear detergent provided. There are tons of books, games, toys, and activities to keep everyone busy when you're not at the beach. Outside, enjoy the large yard, dinner out on the deck or s'mores around the fire pit. Rainy day? No problem! Play, ping pong, air hockey, do a puzzle, play games, watch a movie, or do arts and crafts. We have you covered.

Please note the following: The backyard does back up to a highway (196) so there is traffic noise from that, mostly during the day when you'll be at the beach. Inside the house it is barely audible. We have had no guests complain of the noise.

We have well water. It has been tested recently and is completely safe to drink. There is, however, a sulfur smell that comes with well water. If you would rather not drink it, we provide a water cooler with filtered water.

Absolutely no smoking or vaping on the property, inside or out.

Great week!

Love the location right in the middle of some amazing beaches! We split time between South Haven and St Joe! Location provides a quiet wooded retreat with easy and short access to beach town activity!

Great location and Family friendly

Spent a long weekend here with my husband, 2 adult daughters and 3yrs old granddaughter. We all loved it. There is a play area in the basement! Great location for shopping in several towns, berry picking and winery tours. There is a public beach about a mile away as well. Would stay there again.

Great host, location, and amenities

The host was very helpful. Location can't be beat to be close to St Joes AND South Haven. The activities binder is very helpful to add to ideas you may already have. Anything you could need are in the house for your use. And the water pressure is amazing.

Great house in southwest Michigan!

We really enjoyed our stay - it was central between St Joseph/Benton Harbor and South Haven for us to explore the region. Pack n play, high chair, kids toys and books provided, which was very helpful for our child. It was great to be able to bring our elderly dog, too. Several nice public parks and beaches around - fun to hike, explore, and check out playgrounds. Sarah was easy to communicate with and very helpful. Nice to have laundry on site, too. Severe storms came through one evening while we were there and the host was helpful to navigate that with the power outage.

Family getaway

Nice location to beaches, St. Joseph, Benton Harbor. It was a short distance from town, but far enough to be in the woods. Grand kids enjoyed the play area, games and books. Enjoyed that there were 2 king size beds, very hard to find that anywhere without have to pay way over my budget.

Lovely Fall Break

Willobee Pines is a delightful little house. It was the perfect size for our family. We loved all the unique artistic touches. There was plenty to do in the house - prefect because our weather was a little rainy, and we were never bored. It is very close to South Haven and St. Joseph, but we were also able to fine some good hikes. The welcome book was lovely and super helpful. We would definitly visit again.

This house has everything you need !

Our family enjoyed everything about this beautiful home. It is definitely a home away from home. The grill worked great ! Plenty of bathroom extras , lots of bedding and blankets if needed. Cute back yard with a fire pit. The basement kept the kiddos busy and they were most excited about all the fun things to do. Sarah the home owner was very accommodating and very prompt on messaging if we had a quick question. Thanks again for a great stay !

Nice beach house!

Cute beach house with a nice basement space for the kids to enjoy (playroom, SNES game system, craft area, and game room). The host has thought of everything - the house is very well stocked. Close to nice secluded beaches, and convenient location between St Joe’s and South Haven. We didn’t get to use the outside area because we had a lot of rain, but it did look nice. The noise from the highway behind the house wasn’t problematic for us, may have been an issue if the weather was nicer and we were outside more. We enjoyed our stay, and hope to be back!

Get Getaway!

The house was exactly as described in the listing! The kids loved all of the game options and we enjoyed that the house was clean and well stocked with pantry items. The check-in process was super easy and every question I had was answered very quickly! As described, the house is close to a highway but we knew that going in and it wasn't a bother at all. We used the fire pit one night and had a great time. The traffic wasn't too loud. As far as location, the neighborhood was very quiet, we were able to walk to the beach (15 min walk or so), and the house sits right in the middle of Benton Harbor and South Haven so there are tons of options for places to visit. As far as the beaches, we visited several while we were there and the best were the two closest public access beaches to the house so that is hard to beat!

Lake Michigan

This property is minutes from a small public beach that wasn't too busy. It was convenient with little kids to go for an hour or two and then be able to quickly get home for naps. The placement was also great being within 15 minutes of South Haven and 15 minutes from St. Joseph. Our kids enjoyed all the toys available in the home. The owner was very responsive when we asked questions of places to check out. They also left a handy binder full of places to check out. We loved going to the rock beach and collecting a bunch of rocks, not something we would of thought to seek out on our own. Our only complaint is when we showed up the floor was sandy and there was food left in the oven. But that was probably a fluke because the rest of the trip was great.

Pictures sell a different story

We were very excited about this because of the photos, the description, but then very disappointed, obviously firsthand. There was no hot tub that there said there was gonna be. It was too late to find another one in the pictures does not show the filthy couch we had to sit on the doors that were falling apart, and just the overall cleanliness of the place that thrown pieces of carpet downstairs nobody even really went down there. It was kind of gross Garage nobody want to use any of the equipment and stuff because it was so disgusting and filthy. We don’t know what was on the equipment.

We had a great time at this property!

My family (husband, 12-year-old son, and 80-year-old aunt) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The basement was a huge hit (ping-pong table, air-hockey table, basketball throwing machine, and Nintendo), as was the extensive selection of games from the closet. We loved the fire pit at night and ate many of our meals on the outdoor patio. Breakfast was made more special with the waffle mix, syrup, waffle iron, and a complete selection of coffee and teas that were supplied. All of the bedrooms were bright and uniquely decorated. We all slept very well. Overall, the property was homey, comfortable, and welcoming. We hated to leave. The only thing I would add is that while the listing stated that there were two full bathrooms, we didn't realize that the second one was in the basement. It was not a problem as my hubby, son and I utilized that one and we were easily able to make the trips up and down. (Our elderly family member needed to have her bathroom.) That information on the listing would not have adversely impacted our decision to book the property, but it would have been helpful to know ahead of time. Additionally, we used the towel rack from the upstairs bathroom in the basement bathroom because there was nowhere to hang our bath towels. However, these are all very minor potential improvements for an otherwise outstanding property. The host was super helpful and responded promptly to the questions we had once we arrived. Overall, it was a great experience! Thanks!

75th birthday girls weekend

Sarah was amazing with her quick responses, information and helped make our weekend so memorable. It was a celebration for my mom and her twin sisters 75th birthday. Sarah had a gift for both of the birthday girls along with decorations. The owners put a hand railing on the front porch prior to our arrival, knowing my mom was using a walker and needed assistance. The home was perfect for 5 women, but I would definitely revisit and bring my adult children and our grandchildren. A short walk to a beautiful beach and a private backyard.

Great place surrounded by beaches!!

Great home in between St. Joes and South Haven. You can do both in one weekend. House is cute and cozy. Stocked with all sorts of stuff and a basement with toys and games for the kids. Yard has a gas grille, large driveway and ice cold air conditioning to cool you off on a hot day. Perfect spot for us to stay at. Thank you Sarah!!

Great place for a western Michigan getaway

It was a perfect place to stay for our group, which was made up of two couples and one 11 year old. Each had their own bedroom. The basement is full of fun games, including a ping pong table, air hockey table, pop-a-shot, and a Super Nintendo! There are also more board games upstairs. The backyard has some highway noise, but with a fire pit and a grill, it is a great place to hang out and enjoy the evening. The place was clean and well-stocked. It's a close drive to beaches, hiking trails, shopping, and restaurants in several different directions. Definitely recommend!

They have thought of everything!

The cottage is cozy and welcoming with bright, cheerful decor. The hosts have thought of so many little touches that made everything so easy. The kids loved the rec room and family ping pong became an evening activity the entire stay. The beds are super comfortable. It's a short hop to a lovely beach area. We'll definitely be back!
