Beach bungalow at pistachio: one block from the beach and Tiki bar

This charming bungalow is steps away from the beach access at the Ocean Grill Tiki. You can hear the ocean from the screened in porch out back or out front on a huge deck with picnic table. One block from the ocean, this house has been completely renovated yet still has the cottage nostalgia when it was a barracks. There is plenty of outdoor living space as well as a yard perfect for corn hole, grilling out or enjoying your family and friends in the privacy of the back yard (fence). Fully remodeled in 2020 (new floors, new decks, bathroom and kitchen with a screened in porch addition), this house is perfect for up to six people. There is enough room in the driveway to bring your boat or park three cars.

Great spot for our Labor Day weekend trip; just a block from the beach! My kids loved having their own room and we all appreciated the included linens and beach supplies! Perfect spot for a family trip; would definitely recommend!

We stayed here last week and it was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted to spend a few days by the beach and it is really just a short walk from the house to the beach and many restuarants. The house was clean, there were towels laid out in each bedroom for us. Unfortunatley the weather wasn't very cooperative so we only got to spend a few hours at the beach for one day but that was ok because we got to spend some family time together at the house. My favorite spot was the screened in part of the back deck where we could take cover from the rain but still spend time outside while watching movies and enjoying each other company. I would stay here again if we were to come back to Carolina beach!

The Pistachio cottage was a great stay due to the extra amenities. It was clean, bug free with good air conditioning and finally location, location, location.The beach chairs, beach umbrella and outdoor wash-off areas were appreciated. Clean linens, towels and kitchen cleaning supplies took the stress out of a beach visit. We really enjoyed the outdoor shower, which keeps the humidity out of the cottage.Highly recommend for a smaller group or family. Our family visit consisted of four adults.

It was cute, clean, definitely had more amenities than your average rental including all the beach stuff, games and puzzles and the fenced in yard and screened in porch. Only cons were that the ice maker wasn’t working well and there is not an indoor dining room area. Property managers were friendly and helpful.

Exactly what we needed

The Pistachio beach bungalow couldn't be more perfect! My husband and I spent the holiday weekend visiting our son who is stationed in Jacksonville, NC. We had everything we needed to feel like we were a home away from home, so we were able to enjoy what Carolina Beach offered as well as veg out and make some home cooked meals. The beach is literally a block away and the boardwalk was about a 20 minute walk. My husband and son frequented the ice cream shop around the corner at least twice a day-once on the way to dinner and once on the way back. There is a cute park close by as well. The weather was not great during our stay, but we did enjoy watching the Mets game outside in the screened in porch and for a small house, there was so much outdoor seating available! Allison reached out as soon as we got there to make sure we were good and let us know we could contact her if we needed anything. Definitely would consider staying here again for a quick family getaway!

The home was cute and charming. I loved the porch sitting areas both front and back. It was really nice to cook breakfast and sit on the back porch to enjoy breakfast. Location to the beach was perfect and the provided chairs and cart were a blessing.

Perfect cottage - a block from the beach!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location is IDEAL - one easy block to the beach. The house is just as advertised and worked perfectly for our family (2 adults & 2 teens). When we walked in and saw ceiling fans in all the rooms I knew we found a winner. The enclosed back deck is perfect for your morning coffee or evening cocktail. Nice flat fenced in yard offers great privacy from neighbors. We would totally book this one again!!

Loved it

The property is perfect. Totally fenced in, off the main road. Screened in porch and a huge front deck. Walk across the street to the beach access. Tons of restaurants/dessert places in walking distance. Next door neighbors are super nice. Property owners are very nice, and responsive. My only qualm was that the room with the queen bed has no dresser (there isnt enough room), so my husband and I had to store our clothing in the dresser in one of our kid's rooms. Not a big deal though to us, personally, just something to note! We loved our stay here. It was perfect and I highly recommend this property.

Great Location

The Pistachio was a lovely cottage in a fabulous location, close to the beach and in a very nice neighborhood. We loved the stay, the cleanliness, the responsiveness of the landlords, and the feel of the cottage. We would definitely recommend the Pistachio to anybody looking for a place near the beach that is family friendly with responsive property managers. All of us loved it.

Charming Bungalow!

We were looking for a smaller home with three bedrooms so each of us could have our own place to sleep, with a small kitchen well stocked and a family room to relax in. All of this within walking distance to the beach. This was all we could have hoped for. We walked everywhere and enjoy the sunrise on the beach every morning. The yard is fenced for privacy and for children to play. The back deck with the enclosed screened porch was delightful to sit and enjoy the sounds of the beach. Clean, comfortable, close to beach. We will stay again!

The Pistachio Bungalow allowed for a great weekend visit to Carolina Beach. The house was clean, centrally located, and absolutley adorable.

Top 5 Family Vacation

Loved our time at the Pistachio Bungalow. Our Carolina Beach vacation will definitely go down as a top 5 for our family. My teenager loved the screened in back porch and our 5 year old loved every room in the house. This place had everything you would want for a blast at the beach. Definitely coming back!

We fell in love with CB back in 2015. We were actually visiting the Wilmington area because our daughter was competing in a triathlon. The charm and the vibe of Carolina Beach, of Pleasure Island, was undeniable. We kept talking about the possibility of buying, and then we did. We love it here and know our guests will too!

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

This property wasn’t even on our radar. We were actually looking for a lot. But Allison is always checking out the local listings and then this property popped up. When we first saw it, we loved the lot, but the poor house. We learned that it was actually a military barrack that had been relocated from Fort Fisher to its current location on Bowfin Ln. At that point, we embraced this little house’s history and decided to renovate. The final result is now called Pistachio Bungalow. Pistachio for the obnoxiously bright green that the house was once painted, and Bungalow because of it’s relaxing vibe and it’s size. It has everything you could want though. And the backyard and screened in porch are the perfect spot to unwind and relax after a long day on the beach. Literally a 3 minute walk to the ocean as well as to the infamous “Tike Bar”.
