Welcome to For Pete's Sake!

Experience the charm of this classic Victorian vacation home mixed with updated decor and even a PICKLEBALL court in the spacious backyard! Completely renovated in 2005, this rental is perfectly located in the South Beach neighborhood 3 blocks to the beach and 2 blocks to downtown.

Features include 4 bedrooms with 2 full baths, solid oak and porcelain floors, granite countertops, stained glass, French doors, open stairway, main level laundry, huge furnished deck, large double grassy lot fenced in, and parking for 6 cars.

The sleeping areas include a large bedroom upstairs with a queen-size bed, crib, and extra spaces for kids to explore or layout a sleeping bag. Two more bedrooms upstairs provide queen size beds, dressers, and closets. Downstairs, French doors with privacy allow for the day bed and trundle to be used for additional sleeping.

Outside backyard creates spaces for campfires, gatherings, and catching fireflies while enjoying the games and activities provided. Something here for everyone!

We had the best time staying here. The host was very responsive for whatever we needed during our stay. They gave us s’mores and the fire pit was perfect. The pickleball court was a hit with my family and the back patio. We were able to walk to downtown and to the beach within minutes. We will be back! :)

Had a fantastic time at this property. It is close to both downtown and the beach. The house was perfect for our family and had a great outdoor area for the kids to run and play.

Our trip was excellent. Three adult couples met in South Haven for a weekend get away. Had a great time. One couple had a pet. Fenced in area was a plus. Would have liked to have had a snow shovel. Along with an electric can opener. While it did snow, there eventually was a crew to clean.

Sweet place for a sweet 16!

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend celebrating our daughters sweet sixteen in South Haven! And this home and it’s location were absolutely perfect! More than enough room the two families that stayed and our two dogs! The completely fenced in yards was lovely for the dogs! We loved the pickle ball court and the gas firepit on the deck! And the home was so cozy and charming and truly felt like a home away from home! The proximity to the beach and downtown was wonderful! Delightful and easy walks to both! The property rental company was very prompt in responding to any questions we had! Would definitely stay here again!!!

Perfect location, comfortable abode

This house was so sweet! A short walk to the beach and downtown with a nice sized yard for hanging out. The kids played pickleball and the adults relaxed on the sprawling deck. There is a garage with toys, bikes and things for the beach. There is plenty of room to sleep: 3 bedrooms, one with a crib and a loft space. Then trundles and fold away beds here and there to stow the smaller kiddos. The kitchen had what we needed and the A/C was comfortable and the house was clean and tidy. Thank you for such a wonderful place to make memories.

SoHa vacation.

Perfect home. Lots of space indoors. Very clean, everything you need. Lots of space outdoors. Great deck - four huge umbrellas for sun protection. Wood burning fire pit overlooking pickle ball court, and a gas fire pit on the deck. We had grandparents, kids, grandkids (including a two month old). Plenty of room, and very well insulated - no one could hear the baby crying at night (besides her parents 😊). Awesome location - easy short three blocks to the beach (quick access for beautiful sunsets), and easy short three blocks to shops and restaurants and ice cream. Definitely would book again.

A great house for a beach vacation with family

My family (5 adults and 4 kids from 19 months to 7 years old) enjoyed a great beach vacation at this house. The house layout, bedrooms, and yard amenities were perfect. We loved the pickleball court, deck couches, and fire table. We didn't have any breaks or accidents, but I recommend that any families with small children be very mindful of the large antique furniture and glass decorations that are all over. It made me a little nervous as a parent and we were constantly telling curious kids not to touch anything.

The house was wonderful. Just a short walk to the beach and even a shorter walk to downtown South Haven. The outdoor seating area was ideal and the kids really enjoyed the pickle ball court.

Cute house, great location

The house was very cute and the location was great. Very easy walk to downtown, a bit farther to beach but still walkable. Only issue was that our crawler immediately had black knees, hands, and feet from floors. Had to buy a mop and clean the floors myself. Otherwise had no issues with cleanliness and can certainly be challenging to keep beachhouse floors spotless. Rental company was easy to work with and had good communication. Would definitely consider renting again.

Perfect location. We walked everywhere. House was clean and quiet. 10 minute walk to the beach. Five minute walk to downtown. Amazing backyard that we played and roasted marshmallows in. Will plan to stay here again.

Killer yard in awesome location

Loved the fenced in yard with tons of space for kids to play and adults to relax. Amenities were perfect for mornings at the beach (easy walk) and afternoons exploring downtown. Good to note that the keypad to access the house is on the back door.

For Pete’s Sake Rocks!

We had a blast! The house was perfectly located and we easily walked to the beach and downtown! It was fully stocked with everything we needed! The beds were comfy, the house was clean and there was a cool “secret” room the kids loved! The pickle ball court was an added bonus. One of our favorite stays to date! The house was perfect for us!
