Welcome to Sunny Place Cottage, a 3 bedroom 2 bath home with open and split floor plan provides for both family/ friend gatherings and extra privacy. One bedroom/ bath on left side of house, kitchen dining and living areas in the middle and two more bedrooms with another full bath on the right side of the house. Main bedroom with working fireplace. Our main bath is so relaxing we call it the spa room- it has a jacuzzi tub and separate shower! Home offers slight views of Potomac River and has fenced yard. Sunny Place Cottage offers and clean and comfortable place to stay while enjoying all the area has to offer!

My dog and i loved the patio area. She sat out there with me in the morning. Close walk to watch the sunrise over the water. Great location to the shops.

This home was perfect for the 3 of us. Clean and perfect space to return to after adventures during the day. Golf cart rental is easy and a fun way to get around town.

Perfect Beach Getaway

My sister and I had a lovely stay at this property! The fenced in yard was perfect as I brought my dog and the neighborhood was great for long walks with the pup! It’s about a 15 minute walk to the main beach but only a 5 minute drive which was exactly what we were looking for.

Wonderful stay

This place went above and beyond all the expectations we had for a rental. Very well stocked kitchen. Super clean property. Hosts provided everything in surplus. Beds were comfortable. TV had Scenic and quiet neighborhood. Friendly neighbors. Short drive to many eateries and the beach. Had a fantastic time and will definitely rent this place if we visited colonial beach again.

We stayed here with our two poochies and really enjoyed our stay. The house is very comfortable, clean and updated. The side yard was great for the dogs. We took nice walks to the river just a few blocks away. Delightful. Hope to be back

Bright and roomy single story home

Spacious inside, nicely decorated,nice appliances. Lots of dishes,bowls,silverware..we enjoyed our time on the front porch but mostly in back where we watched cicadas hatch at the big cedar tree..that was amazing ( we got)gotvideos of that )

Great stay in Colonial Beach

The home was nice and really suited us! We really appreciated the little extras!! It was great to have extra time on check out morning (check out by noon) to ride around once more and to do some shopping. Friendly town. Ditto what the other reviews said.

CB getaway

The house was spotless and comfortable for our family of 4 adults and a 4 yr old - plus our two very retired racing greyhounds. Found a good spot for the dog beds and they were good to go! Kitchen was well equipped and easy to work in. Nice appliances. Quiet neighborhood but close to everything. Dogs enjoyed their walks. We had a couple days of rain but overall a great week in Colonial Beach.

Great Return

This was our second time staying here, first time was September last year, but this time we wanted to do a true summer trip in July. Denise is a fantastic host who answers messages promptly. The house has everything you need and more! We forgot our beach chairs and were happy to see two lightweight ones in the hall closet. Close proximity to the main part of town (we brought scooters and got to the beach in probably 5-7 minutes.) The high fenced in yard was great for our dog and makes the house feel very secluded. We hope to come back again in the future!

Quick birthday getaway at the beach

Pretty sunny yellow chalet, nice neighborhood near downtown Colonial Beach. Far enough for enjoyable quiet, near enough to walk to the beach (10 minutes walk to the main beach, 4 minute drive -- we drove). Everything was conveniently there, including beach towels, umbrellas and chairs. Soaked in the spa tub, and enjoyed dinner on the outdoor patio, after a long day at the beach. Tall dining table with chairs was nice but not so easy for our 3 year old. We bought a small table and chair at nearby Walmart for the little guy. Awesome hostess, Denise, was always reaching out to make sure we had everything. We loved it. Totally recommend this sunny chalet.... felt like home. On our way out, 3 year old said he'd be happy to stay there again. We agreed. Thank you!

TV troubles

The ONLY complaint we had was the tv service. In the description of property it indicated cable/ satellite tv…it did not mention that it was all streaming services. My hubby & I (over 70) are not familiar with streaming. One of the reasons we chose the property, was the cable/satellite service. The host was very responsive, but, we just couldn’t find what we wanted to watch. Finally had to call our daughter & use her account to access the football game. The house was very nice, very well stocked, clean, etc. and the location was awesome.

I’m so glad you found Sunny Place Cottage clean, well stocked, and in an awesome location. I strive to create a pleasant atmosphere for all of my guests. I’m happy you were able to easily access the Internet/wifi. I reviewed the listing for Sunny Place Cottage it states Free WiFi and Smart TV. It never had satellite at Sunny Place Cottage; but I did have it at another property. (Sometimes reviews are lumped together for the various properties which can be confusing for everyone.); I sincerely regret after my various attempts to explain how to use the Smart TV (Live Tv, Free Movies &TV, Browse options, Sports Zone and Apps such as Netflix and YouTube) you could not find the program you were looking for. As you maybe aware, it is illegal for hosts to share passwords to various accounts such as Netflix etc. I’m glad your daughter was able to assist you with her account information. It was unfortunate that it rained during most of your stay; I would have made the weather nicer for you if I could; but some things are beyond my control . 😊 Thanks for being a good guest and leaving the property in good condition.

Peace and relaxation

My week at the cottage was everything I needed it to be. The home was very clean and exactly as shown. The area is quiet and peaceful. The views of the water right around the corner are amazing and the proximity to the beach is great. I was able to take walks along the river multiple times a day and go down to the beach daily to watch the sun rise. The views of the water never get old and really calm the soul. I would definitely stay again if in the area. Thanks for an awesome week!

Beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood that's just minutes from the beach!

My wife and I were looking for a change of pace where we could both work remotely for a few days away from work but that was also dog friendly, close to the beach but not a hotel. This Colonial Beach property was perfect for us and our 2 older dogs. Corner property, all on 1 level, beautifully furnished, king bed, flat screen with cable and wifi and we brought our bikes and put them in the side yard that's fenced and locked. Bathrooms and kitchen were super clean and we stayed 5 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. Definitely check out the local food places: Ledo Pizza, The Huesteca Mexican Restaurant, and the Dockside Restaurant and tiki bar. Highly recommend and will be back.

Great weekend away.

Looking for a close get away really enjoyed the stay and the town. Beach was great food was awesome. When you stay go to the beach at night and listen to waves it's best time to relax.
