With 3 bedrooms and 5 beds there's plenty of space for families and friends to relax and unwind after a day of exploration.

The main bathroom offers modern amenities and a refreshing shower, while the additional half bathroom adds convenience for larger groups. The full kitchen invites you to channel your inner chef, equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious meals using fresh local ingredients.

Our host was amazing. She left little island goodies all around the home and had a welcome message for us on the dry erase board. She was very responsive to a minor issue we had and it was corrected very quickly. Would love to stay at this place again in the future.

Carol was incredibly hospitable and all of the small details and additional amenities made our stay so much fun. The house was decked out for the holidays and gifts left for the children and grown ups. It was so special.

We had a cozy stay. There was enough room for all of us. The back yard was large and the Hippie decor was fun. The pool was big enough to enjoy. The beach was very close and there were alot of little places to eat as well. I would stay here again.

Awesome!!

This was our second visit to Hippie Chalet, and it was a great stay once again! We had an infant this time around and we were so thankful there was a very clean playpen and high chair available. The location is perfect—close to all you need. We loved all the upgrades to the property since our last visit! Carol is truly the best host we’ve ever encountered and we can’t wait to come back!! Puerto Rican BOHO at its best !

I can't say enough about our host ~Carol. She made sure to reach out to us before we arrived and she's super pleasant. The house was exactly what I hoped for. Simple living in a relaxed home surrounded by the nature of Puerto Rico. The yard is a haven and we enjoyed reading the visitors post on the outside walls. Be sure to appreciate the art work throughout the house and yards. And remember your bug spray. ✌️😊

Amazing

This property could not have been better! It was super clean and had all the utensils kitchen necessary to cook whatever meal we wanted. The backyard was beautiful and was the perfect place to hang out at after a long day at the beach. The location was perfect, the beach was only a half mile walk down the road. Hippie Chalet allowed us to experience Puerto Rico as the locals do. If you want to enjoy Puerto Rico without the tourists and still be a short drive to San Juan this is the perfect place to do so!

Coolest house we have ever rented

We stayed in multiple homes during our trip to Puerto Rico and this one was just awesome. Incredible sounds of frogs and roosters was better than any white noise machine version you’ve ever heard. Pool was bigger than it looked in the pictures. Just right in a humid night. The murals in the yard were really well done and everything about the place showed that someone put a lot of thought into this property. The lockable metal fencing around the house made everyone feel really comfortable and safe and the neighbors were friendly. If your looking for a really chill place to lay in a hammock and listen to the sounds of Puerto Rico I highly recommend this location.

Loved the backyard!

We enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean with all the amenities you might need. We had a little issue with the shower water, it was either very hot or cold. Carol was very apologetic and said that they would be working to correct it. We loved the backyard and used the pool to cool off. Make sure to use bug spray because the no see ums are no joke! We felt the neighborhood was safe but the roosters kept in people’s yards are very loud, even during the day. Carol did supply ear plugs which worked well. The beach is near but we were unable to swim because of red flags. We used the bikes to explore the boardwalk. Overall are stay here was good!

Womderful stay at a great home with the best host ever!

The Hippie Chalet was a delightful stay in the heart of PR! It was close to everything but far enough away from the craziness of the San Juan metro area that we were able to relax. It was nice to have room and a pleasant personal space. I cannot speak highly enough of our wonderful host Carola! She truly went above and beyond to ensure my graduates (and me!) felt special and enjoyed this trip to the fullest! The girls loved the beautifully decorated space, the amenities available to us to use such as the chairs and the close proximity to beaches. I loved the security of having a gated living space with private parking, the proactiveness and quick responses of our amazing host anytime I reached out and the lovely places around the home to relax with a good book or glass of wine like the second floor balcony. The bug zappers were a godsend but pack plenty of mosquito repellant to better enjoy the outdoors. Take advantage of the bikes or just walk to the wildlife preserve that is only 5 minute walk from the Chalet! There is beach access a short bike ride from the home but some of the most beautiful beaches are a quick 10-20 min trip by car—recommend going early to secure parking, sometimes roadside or on/near the beach itself. Tips: If you are from the continental US, please leave expectations of home at home. The Caribbean is a beautiful place and is meant to be enjoyed. Expect a more natural environment. Reach out to the host for any questions! Highly recommended!

Returning to my roots in Puerto Rico in 2020, I made the decision to share the beauty and cultural richness of Piñones in the town of Loiza with visitors from around the world. Known as "The Capital of Traditions," Loiza is deeply rooted in Afro-Caribbean heritage, serving as a vibrant symbol of Puerto Rico's diverse culture and tight-knit community.

Growing up in Puerto Rico, I experienced firsthand the warmth and hospitality of our people, and I'm eager to extend that same hospitality to guests who choose to stay in our chalet. Our aim is not only to provide comfortable accommodation but also to offer an authentic cultural experience that showcases the unique traditions and history of Piñones and Loiza.

By opening our doors to families and guests, we hope to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for the vibrant tapestry of cultures that make Puerto Rico so special. Whether it's exploring the beautiful beaches and coastline of Piñones, savoring traditional cuisine, or immersing oneself in the rhythms of live music and dance, there's no shortage of experiences waiting to be discovered in Loiza.

Through our hosting efforts, we aim to create meaningful connections between visitors and the local community, leaving a lasting impression that goes beyond just a vacation.
