🏡 The Space
Gorgeous and iconic farmhouse located in the East Railroad District of downtown San Luis Obispo. Situated in its own lovely microclimate, this historic gem offers a private, estate-like setting with a spacious backyard featuring fruit trees, grapevines, creekside foliage, and its very own windmill.

This meticulously cared-for farmhouse features an open floor plan on the main level with a living area, kitchen, dining room, laundry room, and full bathroom. Upstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed, along with a bathroom featuring a walk-in shower.

The home is fully stocked with all the essentials you’ll need for a comfortable stay and is located on a quiet cul-de-sac just moments from downtown.

Guests have access to the entire home and property.

I manage multiple Airbnb listings in the area and do my best to be available for guests 24/7. I can be reached anytime via Airbnb message, text, or phone. I live nearby and can be at the property quickly in the event of an emergency.

📍 Location & Walkability
Just a quick 10-minute walk to downtown thanks to the pedestrian bridge at the train tracks. Approximately 1 mile to Higuera Street with multiple nearby dining options.

🚆 Things to Note
The home is located near the train station, and some train noise may be heard at times—primarily the train horn. The last train passes through no later than 9:00 pm.

This historic home is over 100 years old and comes with the charming quirks and occasional squeaks you would expect. The yard is not fully fenced, so if you are traveling with pets, please keep this in mind.

đŸ—“ïž Can I cancel my reservation?
It depends! Reservations must be canceled 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid a penalty of one night’s room and tax.
Reservations canceled within 24 hours of booking may be canceled with no penalty, unless within 72 hours of check-in. Any reservation with a change of dates within 72 hours of check-in will be subject to penalty.
All cancellations after 24 hours of booking are subject to a non-refundable 3% merchant service fee charged by Stripe.

Maybe! Check-in is guaranteed at 3:00 pm or later. Early check-in opportunities may be assessed on the day of arrival based on availability. Please reach out prior to your arrival to inquire.

Late check-outs are based on availability and incur a fee:

Overall the house was nice and quaint. Loved the bed and bedding. The main drawback was the very loud creaking when turning door knobs and opening the bedroom doors. We also could hear anyone who was walking on the upstairs floors. We were all awakened by the neighbors dog who awoke us 3 times last night. But we did like the overall location.

Wonderful stay!

We rented this home for a month and it really felt like a home to us. The house was well supplied with everything we needed and was in a wonderful location. We walked to downtown every day and sat on the porch every night. I really hope we can stay again!

Perfect long weekend

We really enjoyed our stay here! We loved being able to walk to breakfast at Sally Loo’s and downtown for dinners. The house itself is beautiful on a nice piece of property. Really feels like your classic SLO home!

Quaint and lovely home with some historic roots. Nicely updated. Well stocked with everything we needed to optimize our stay. Would definitely return here. Only suggestion would be some landscape trimming around front and side doors. We had to dodge and duck to get to the doors. Communications super easy and very responsive.

Well appointed Farmhouse.

The farmhouse is so well done and appointed. Communication was very clear for arrival and departure. There was even a cute book with instructions, restaurant recommendations, and things to do. The house was very clean and had all the comforts of home. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Thanksgiving stay

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Farmhouse. It is the perfect place for a stay in San Luis Obispo. It is located in a quiet area, and is convenient to everything. Pauline is a great communicator and very responsive. The house is larger than it seems and has very nice amenities. We look forward to staying here again when back in SLO!

Clean, Quiet Central Coast Base Camp

We visited region for waves, wedding, & wineries in Avila Beach, Edna Valley, Paso Robles, & Pismo Beach. Your clean, charming, well-appointed historic farmhouse with quality updates in a quiet residential neighborhood? It proved the perfect centrally located base. The farmhouse was welcoming & warm. Big kitchen which was well stocked with items for cooking. There was an old heater, but it worked well. The beds were very comfortable. I wouldn’t highly recommend this VRBO. Cynthia

Great home, great location!

My family of five had an amazing weekend at the farm house! The hike is larger than it seems with comfortable beds, updated restrooms and a fantastic little kitchen. The neighborhood is minutes from everything, quiet and safe. The kids had plenty of room to play in the front and back. So many great spots to enjoy the garden with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. Perfect place to stay while celebrating a local wedding !

Nice house but was very hot

Picked a very hot weekend in SLO and the house had a small window unit downstairs and many fans, it was difficult to get it cool enough to sleep. Well equipped kitchen and nicely decorated. Good location although no where walking distance.

Quaint and quiet

Lovely old farmhouse. The rooms and beds are comfortable. It is an old house so lots of creaking but clean, modern bathrooms, great patio and porch for morning coffee and afternoon wine. Was concerned that the train was so close but never heard it except for a little bit in the late afternoon. Quiet neighborhood with lots of parking. Great communication with owner.
