Just steps away from the beautiful sands of PCB! Breathtaking views from this 8th floor condo at the Summit!

This condominium is located on the beautiful beaches of the Gulf of Mexico in Panama City Beach, Florida. It is at The Summit on Thomas Drive. You will find yourself within walking distance of restaurants, amusement parks, golf courses, and more. Grills are provided on site if you enjoy cooking out. There is also a TIKI bar in the pool area which is close to the beach so you can get a cool drink any time without leaving the property. A bar and grill called Bikini Bobs is onsite for food

The Summit has two large pools for guests as well as both indoor and outdoor hot tubs! An exercise room is located on the ground floor near the lobby for guests as well!

The master bedroom in this beautiful unit has a king size size bed and a flat screen tv. It has access to the 1.5 bathroom with a shower/tub combo, 2 sinks and 2 toilets!

The hallway has a twin size bunkbed.

The oceanfront living room has a QUEEN size sleeper sofa, a flat screen tv and access to the oceanfront balcony.

The kitchen comes fully stocked with everything needed to cook a great meal!

Private balcony is the perfect height for breathtaking views of the Gulf!

Reviewer Comments: Good for the price. The unit overall was fine but needs a little TLC. The property is definitely older and the elevators didn’t work half the time. There is also a strip club right across the street that we saw from our back door. The pools and beach were great and the kids enjoyed the evening activities.

Check in was easy, view was lovely. Not a tip top condo, but we let owners know (on a Sunday was our check in), they came the next day to check on our concerns and did address each one. Additionally, there was guys working. They were taking the condo's tile off all the patio and replacing rails. As you can imagine it was very noisy and also blocked off some area's of the pool and walk ways. Elevator at times was down. We were told by others who stayed their owners let them know of the work to be done and gave them a chance to change dates or cancel. Wish we would of known as we would of changed dates. Feel they should discount for such inconvenience and not letting us know. Workers at the resort were very kind and friendly.

Love the Summit

I have stayed at the Summit many times, the first time for this unit. They are all pretty much the same layout. I love the fact this unit has a washer and dryer as well extra blankets. It was clean and well-decorated. Check-in and out was seamless.

We were disappointed that the pool closed at 7:30. Instead of 11 like it usually does. The condo does need to furnish the kitchen better.

It was ok

The room was ok. I think for the price there could be updates and switches that were loose replaced. My biggest problem was the bathroom pictures don’t show that when you try to close the pocket door between the bathrooms that there is a big whole cut out where the handle was. It was hard to pull closed to section off the two bathrooms. Might as well just be a single bathroom with 2 toilets. I hope they get that fixed.

Let me first start out by stating the view was breathtaking! It was located on the 8th floor just right of the pool. The Summit had people come in and play guitar and sing, karaoke, and DJ on different nights on the pool deck throughout our stay. It was nice being able to see and hear from our balcony. The tiki bar and restaurant connected to the summit was great. Not having to worry about going out to get food or drinks was the best. However, the room itself needs updating. There was black on the ceiling in the bathrooms, paint coming off walls, and the toilet seat was not even attached to the toilet. After making several calls, someone came from maintenance on our second day to fix it. The room really needed to be cleaned a bit better. The mirror lining the hallway still had handprints on it and the floors were definitely not swept well. When we moved the couch back to fix the bed, there was a ton of food crumbs under it and around/under chairs. You can tell it was a quick clean/turn around cleaning job. Upon leaving, they ask you to strip the beds and pillowcases. That’s when we noticed the mattress cover was absolutely filthy. The pullout couch mattress needed replaced terribly. It was completely ripped and falling apart. Under the bathroom towels, there was still check-in paperwork from a previous guest and inside the decorative decor my daughter found fake eyelashes. Besides the minor cleaning/maintenance issues, the room was equipped with everything you would need.

Zero communication and accountability for the safety of their guests

Property not cleaned thoroughly. Bed sheets were not even changed. The worst part is safety. They allowed someone in our room without our knowledge. We found out that they keep all door codes in this building the exact same! They lied to us when we asked them about it. They would not consider changing our code for us. They completely ignored us after our first call. Zero accountability. It is despicable. Do Not Stay Here. Do not rent from Emerald Coast Destination Inc (ECDI) period

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The overall experience of this condo is just ok. Upon entry the unit wasn’t properly cleaned and we had to clean when we arrived. There was no dustpan in the unit so that had to be purchased by us. We were told there were two toilets and there was but one was taped off and couldn’t be used and the water was also turned off. We reached out and never got responses after we were asked to provide pictures. The sliding glass door was also broken and couldn’t be locked. Just a lack of upkeep from management definitely. The view from the balcony is lovely. The beds were in decent shape. Kitchen is lacking on utensils and pots. There are 4 towels and 4 washcloths so if u need more or don’t want to wash them everyday then bring extras. The complex itself is ok considering it is one of the oldest in PCB. The elevators were broken more than half the time. We would not rebook this unit and are not sure we would even consider booking with this rental company again because it is obvious that if u have an issue they do not care.

Reviewer Comments: I didn’t originally book this room, but the condo we rented was sold and they move us to this unit. The views are beautiful, the location is great. The pictures are accurate; however the room is outdated not very clean when we arrived, smells like mold, everything is falling apart like the wall plugs coming out the sockets, doors falling apart, rusted vents, and nasty ceiling. I wouldn’t recommend staying at this unit, there’s better options to stay. The summit doesn’t have heated pools or a nice hot tube that doesn’t look like you will catch something from it, but the tiki bar was awesome and the staff was friendly. Great time, but disappointed in the condo and resort.

We ended up cleaning it ourselves because no one showed up to clean until around 9 pm. The globes were off the lights. The toilet seat by the shower has a crack in it and it will pinch you.

Dirty with roaches

We arrived security was nice. Went to office gentlemen was rude. We opened our unit furniture and condo furniture was nice looked like pictures. However upon unpacking and checking out condo we found roaches crawling on the walls In the living room they were small so we didn’t think much of it. Then when we laid out the sofa bed they came crawling out in numbers. We had them crawling even in our shower which I took pictures of and a video showing they were live. I think the condo was clean as a unit but was infested due to a couple of buildings being vacant beside this condo due to a previous hurricane. But over all we swept and killed roaches the whole trip as well as cleaned unit. The other bad part is the elevator was a nightmare. 4 elevators and 2 were never working . Wait times were up to 20 min just to get an elevator. So I would not stay here again.
