Great location but needs updating

Great location. House is a little outdated but that’s ok. The real issue we had was the cleanliness. The floors were very sandy upon arrival. And the beds were sandy as well.

The location is the best part. The house was very clean. The property manager quickly responded when we needed sheets for the sofa bed. We will be back.

Beautiful home in GREAT location!!

We’ve stayed in Seaside before and wanted to be closer to the square this time and this place was perfect!! Very nice home. Clean with plenty of room. Had a problem with my tv remote and the management responded immediately and helped me get it resolved. Highly recommend this place and would stay here again.

Perfect Location on 30A with Awesome Ocean Views

House is as described. Steps from beach access, Beach is gorgeous. Pool is refreshing and fun. Nice views of the ocean from second and third floor deck. Super walkable to our favorite restaurant-Surfing Deer and an easy walk to Seaside. The house was comfortable for our group. We would definitely rent Camellia House again.

Perfect location

One of the few properties not on the beach with a view of the water. Quaint beachy house very close to the beach. Wifi does not work and there is no broom/dustpan for sand...but other than that we loved it. Master bedroom is on 3rd floor and other beds on ground floor...perfect for teenagers, but maybe not for younger children. Would stay there again.

Great house and location.

The house was great for what we needed. Beds were so comfortable and house was clean. When they clean for the next guest they get rid of everything. I thought I may find extra coffee filters or left over seasoning but nothing was left in the house. Most rentals I've got have those things but it's not that big of deal to not have any. Great house, I will rent again.

Good but not great

This property has been used and somewhat abused. The furnishings (minus the mattresses) all are very worn and the beach weather has taken its toll. Kitchen: while yes, its stocked the items utensils and cooking items are cheap and have a dollar store feel. The pool area is beautiful but took us figuring out how to make the waterfall work (management never returned our request for assistance) the lights did not work for the nighttime dip either. The location and ease to local dining and shopping is good! But this house needs an overhaul with the new builds around, I would look at one of those next time!

5 Star except..........

Everything 5 stars except when we arrived a couple hours early we were not allowed early entry. The house was vacant and cleaned the day before (per the neighbors), there was no reason to not let us in prior to 4PM other than we did not request early access 48hrs prior. That was the reason per our request to the property manager @ 1PM on the day of arrival

Renters Beware

The photos are very deceptive. Spent $6,141 for the rental after taxes, etc. and the main entrance is thru a bedroom. Very disappointing with ants in the kitchen and the pool has no privacy and is very close to a busy sidewalk. Pool lights and waterfall don’t work. Needs pressure washed and updated. Asked about some money back and was told there were no “livability issues”. Never again!

Great Location But

Wonderful location so close to Seaside. Now know you are on the strip it is not private at all. We asked for the pool to be heated it was not, I see from a previous review they didn't heat it for them either. When you go in March the pool has to be heated! Now on to wifi, do not go there thinking you will have it, it's not the home it's the area there is NO wifi! The wifi information they sent in the booking information was incorrect as well. They need more blankets in the home especially if you are using the pullout couch there is no extra bedding, just extra pillows. The layout is 2 bedrooms downstairs sharing 1 bathroom, 2nd floor has a half bath and the 3rd floor has the master with an amazing bathroom, but only a queen bed the king is actually downstairs. Watch the fridge the door it doesn't close all the way so push it hard. They need fans in every room because it is on the strip and it is very loud. There are 2 fans there but they need one in each bedroom as well as the living room. Perfect place for teens because they like it loud but not really for little kids.

Not what it seems

The house location was great. Easy access to the beach. The house itself leaves a lot to be desired. It was pretty beat up. Furniture is old and not in great shape. The listing stated the master was on the first floor. This is not correct. It’s on the third floor. My in laws ended up having to walk up 3 flights of stairs all week which was totally not ideal. The house was filthy. It hadn’t been properly cleaned in weeks. We spent our entire first day cleaning the house. We tried to get a hold of the property manager for our first 2 days and could not get a call back. The internet or TV’s did not work. They finally got them working on our third day there. Overall, the house was very disappointing. The response from the property manager was even more disappointing. It’s not at all worth what we paid to stay there. There are much nicer homes in the area for lower prices. We will definitely not be renting from Southern Resorts again.

Location and size was perfect for our group. But the house shows lots wear - multiple slats on the blinds in the bunk room were broken / missing. We paid extra for the pool to be heated but it kept throwing an error and stopped heating. We were only able to enjoy the heat about 1/2 of our stay. Disappointed

Upon arrival at property, after the designated check in time, we were unable to access the lock with code provided, we walked around to door at pool and surprisingly it was unlocked. After going inside we could tell the cleaning service had been there because bags of dirty laundry were still in hallways. Ok no problem get unloaded then contact rental agency , maybe they were suppose to come back for pickup. Unloaded house was extremely HOT! After we got settle in the upstairs and 2nd level didn't seem to be cooling off, first floor was very comfortable. Thermostat reading was 87 upstairs, set at 72. Finally called the rental agency, they verified electronically the air temp, apologized and placed a work order for technician. Advised us to buy a fan and they would reimburse!! Continuing to the housekeeping, it was bad….we found trash under the beds with an inch or more of dust, trash under bathroom cabinets, mold in downstairs bath and in window sills, a pair of little girl swimsuit bottoms in the bottom bunk bed (and these sheets had supposedly been changed) trash in bushes around pool, fountain in pool didn’t work and there was only two very rusted lounge chairs at pool, definitely not what the picture portrays and definitely not enough chairs for a home that could accommodate 10 people. The furniture is very modest one couch that 3 people can sit comfortably in and one chair once again not enough for 10 people. The air conditioner technician arrived the next day and made the comment he had personally been to unit several times, unit needs replacing! Technician before had put too much freon in. I have rented several homes in the Destin/Panama area and this was by far the worse. I’m not sure if the owner is just not making the necessary upgrades to keep this home in top notch condition but it needs work. Rental agency was responsive and apologetic, so many little things could have been done to make this so much better. Location of home Is great for the beach but of course being on the main road it is very loud at night so not much sleep, I’ll take the blame for that, but for the love of GOD please buy a broom for the house! Will not rent this home again for the price that was paid. One last thing the rental agency did offer to send cleaning crew back, I declined, should have done it right the first time.

We here at SOUTHERN take pride in our units and this is not how we would like our guest to remember Thursday. I do see that the work order for the air conditioning was put in and addressed. Unfortunately, it did take us longer than we hoped, but we do show that it was repair during your stay. As for the cleanliness issues, that is a no way how he when I guess to check in, and again, we sincerely apologize. We do not see that any of those issues were reported, and we just ask that while you were in a house with us you report all issues so that we can address them, and you can go on about your vacation as planned. Despite these issues, we do hope that you will give us another chance and come back to see us so we can show you a true 5-Star Gulf Coast experience.

Definitely not worth the money.

Wad of hair in the shower on top of draincover. We rented it because of the heated pool. Pool heater did not work. Sand in the bunk beds. All of the bikes had flat tires. We will never stay there again.

Great location!

The house was clean and perfect for our family of 6. We were a short walk to Seaside and Seagrove and across the street from the beach. Even a short walk to the local grocery store. Very accessible!

Great Private Pool

First the positives: convenient to fabulous beach & Seagrove, house was nice, beds were comfortable, pool was great Negatives: road was too busy and loud, speeders were terrible, traffic did not stop for pedestrian nor bikes (as the law states). There was actually a golf cart hit and run in front of the house - with injuries. House needs a deep cleaning & a new grill.
