Peaceful retreat for all seasons'

Lake home with 130' of frontage on Beaver Dam Lake for fishing and recreation. Amenities include 2 40' dock, use of kayaks (7), canoe and paddleboats (3). Boat launch about a mile away. 4 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, flat screen tv's in the master bedroom and family room. OTA TV with full roster of channels from both Madison and Milwaukee markets. BYO streaming service.

High speed unlimited data internet available for flex work/home schooling.

Please note that this is a 'whole house' 1/2 of a duplex. This is a part of a rather unique duplex that offers maximum privacy with separate private decks, pellet/charcoal combo grill, separate entrances and HVAC systems.

I do require photo ID's for all adults 18 yo+ and the first names and ages of all children under 18 yo. This is used for emergency and liability reasons only. There are no exceptions to this requirement. All ID's are held securely for your protection.

The main renter must be 25 yo+. Please contact me for potential exceptions based on previous host recommendations.

Maximum occupancy is 8 people including infants and children due to rural septic limitations. Please do not ask for exceptions to this capacity. I will not be able to honor any requests for more than 8 people.

Parking on this residential driveway is limited to 3 vehicles including any boat or other trailers. all other vehicles must be parked off site. Park on the narrow residential road at your own risk. No parking is allowed on the grass or mound septic system.

Please note that this is a NON-smoking property. if there are smokers in your group you will need to let them know that they can't smoke in the home or the decks or within 20' of a door or window. All smoking materials must be disposed of in a fireproof device and cannot be thrown on the lawn, lake or any garbage container. If they are unable to comply there will be a $200 surcharge to cleanup any smoking related materials.

Pet friendly but pet owners must pick up waste immediately and dispose of it responsibly. Pets may not be left alone in the unit unless they are in a crate. I have an extra large crate for your use but you must bring you own pet bedding. No cats are allowed in the unit at any time.

WOW!! My group had a blast at the “Lake House”. We were in Beaver Dam for a sporting event. The house location was perfect for our pre race training, plus a very short drive to our event. Our host Kathy was really nice and answered all questions concerning the property and the city of Beaver Dam. I will definitely be staying here next year!Gary DOERING

Wonderful experience

Our family all stayed at Kathy’s place to celebrate the 4th of July together. It was different than other rentals we have stayed at for we didn’t feel like renters, rather we felt like family. Kathy was extremely hospitable and made us feel extremely welcome. We were amazed at how well stocked the place was as it seemed like she had everything we could possibly need. Thank you for making our family vacation a great one!

Cozy Lakefront Property

Excellent home to relax and enjoy the Beaver Dam community, Horicon and the lake. Amenities abound a tht home from games to appliances and the host went out of her way to accommodate!! Certainly recommend a get away trip or even a lengthy stay if your up to fishing and enjoying the area!

We had a poor experience with this stay, we booked long term for an employee staying in the area to do work on a job. From the start the host reached out to communicate by text instead of the app which was a red flag. We understood the host lived next door but it felt too personal. The owner had asked to enter the home while we were gone and ran an Ozone machine - we feel like these machines are a health hazard and potentially used to remedy a health hazard like mold. That was off putting. The house cleanliness was an issue and there were bed bugs. We left the home and reported to VRBO since we felt the owner would be offended and be defensive which was later proven to be true. The host was given the opportunity to hire a pest company to come in and give a report and to my knowledge no report was ever produced, just the hosts word that the pest company found no evidence of bed bugs. We had pictures of the bites as well as of areas that concerned us regarding the cleanliness. The host fought us cancelling the reservation for a long time and it was a pain to deal with. We were generous in not asking for money back but just wanted the rest of the long stay canceled and refunded and the host drug it out as long as possible. I’m sure the host has remedied the situation and this home will be a good option for those looking to enjoy it, but I’m leaving the review as I would want to know about these issues when looking at a rental myself.

I did not have bed bugs in this home and submitted evidence of that to VRBO. I run an ozone machine specifically to prevent any pests including bed bugs because those are brought in by guests and not an indication of cleanliness. The ozone machine was run during the 4 days that Ted was gone WITH HIS PERMISSION! The ozone machine pesen5s no hazards to people or pets as long as it is run and the home is vacant for at least 4 hours. Ted was gone for 4 days after the machine was run. I alo want to mention that Brianne wrote this as if she had stayed here, She was never present on the property at all during the resevation period. Ted had no complaints during had his first week here and returned the 2nd week after being gone for 4 days. He checked out early without informing me and then filed a false report to VRBO about bed bugs. I immediately called the pest control company and they did an inspection that confirmd that there were no bed bugs anywhere in the property. I repeatedly asked for pix of these bed bug bites which included Ted face in the pix. I got pix of arms and torso but no way to tell if these were pix of Ted or someone else and the pix seemed to show a rash rather than bug bites. Not sure how the host living next door is too personal but it is clearly stated in my property decription that I live It is up to the guest to submit a request for cancellation because as a host we a penalized for cancelling. They never submitted a request for cancellation.

Awesome stay!

We had an awesome stay at this house! The location is beautiful-so quite and relaxing. The house is exactly as described and the owner provides every possible little thing in there, it was stocked better than even our own home! The communication with the owner was also great! Five stars to the owner and to the house!

Very Enjoyable

We had a really nice weekend. Kathy was more than accommodating, providing, and friendly. Beaver Dam was a lot of fun too. Friendly locals and quaint little town. :) Don't forget to check out LeRoys for your fresh Wisconsin dairy!!

Lots of water toys and kayaks. We really enjoyed the lake. Owner went out and bought us firewood and made sure we had everything we needed.

Nice weekend away!

Our family enjoyed fishing and spending time together here. The property had all the amenities needed for cooking and lots of indoor and outdoor games. There were only 4 of us but would it have been comfortable for a larger group as well.

Great place to unwind. Town of Beaver Dam is very relaxed, property is spacious, and Kathy was great to work with. All our needs were met, and Kathy went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable.

Spring Break

Owner provided a very nice property to stay at for an relaxing 4 days. Had plenty of room and beautiful view of the lake. Over the top accommodations were provided to make it feel like we were in our own home. Also the owner was very friendly, easily available if needed, and made the process easy to check in and out.

The relaxing evenings were nice by the firepit. Neighbor extremely quiet. Home had every kitchen appliance and utensil to cook, plus spices were provided. Plenty of towels available for the swimming. The township of Fox Lake had a wonderful public children's water park only a couple miles away. Bathrooms were stocked in case you forgot anything. Kathy was absolutely wonderful allowing for friends to come over for a birthday party for our granddaughter.

Great place and location

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were in town for the Englewood Open MTB and it proved to be the perfect setup for our group. Lots of space within the rental, and a ton outside. It is right on the lake and the owner provides everything you need to enjoy the water. The owner was super communicative throughout. Would highly recommend!

I live on this lakefront property in the smaller 1/2 of this duplex. I love lake living and want my quest to enjoy the use of this property. I am always available if needed but otherwise let the guest shave their own space to enjoy the waterfront, watercraft, deck and grill.
