Brand new private beach oasis waiting for you, west of 101 and just a block away from the Pacific ocean. Our detached casita is bright and modern, and features new appliances including a W/D, gas stove, a smart tv and a spacious bathroom with a huge walk in shower. Outside you will find palms, bananas, and avocado trees in your own private garden area, and an outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach. Within a few blocks of the house, you can walk or bike to dozens of restaurants and shops.

I had a great stay here. the property is beautiful and the kitchen well equipped. The posted photos are very accurate. The place was so thoughtfully planned. Comfortable bed, quiet, private patio. Liz and Chris are great hosts. I would definitely stay here again. I enjoyed every minute of my month here.

Our hosts, Chris and Liz ; are a wonderful couple.They were available to us but not intrusive. The casita was just as the pictures showed. It is very private, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Location is great and walkable which we liked. Close to the beach as promised. Restaurants are also within walking distance. We totally enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone!

Encinitas Escape from New England

Our 3rd March at this cottage and still a wonderful getaway from cold New England. Chris and Liz are wonderful hosts who were readily available. Their place lives large and is equipped with everything you could need for a long term stay. We consider it our home away from home. Highly recommend!!

6 weeks of heaven

This was our first extended trip as new retirees and this casita was perfect for us. It is well appointed and lives larger than it looks. The location is ideal for walking and exploring Encinitas and Leucadia. Also a great jumping off point for visiting all of San Diego and North County. Chris and Liz are lovely hosts and available at all times to address any issue that arose- mostly us looking for information. We highly recommend their place for a stay of any length.

Absolutely Perfect!

This property could not have been more perfect. Liz and Chris were excellent hosts who were always available to ensure I had everything I needed and that my stay was as comfortable as possible. I stayed for one month while completing an internship and found both the kitchen and outdoor patio wonderful and breezy spaces to do my work from "home" and unwind at the same time. This property had everything I was looking for in long-term stay. The casita is so thoughtfully designed and decorated. Liz gave me a tour upon arrival and I could immediately recognize the tremendous effort and passion that was put into designing the space. It is bigger than it looks in pictures! It is very clean and stocked with household kitchen and cleaning basics (which is always helpful, especially for long stays), beach chairs and umbrella, great lighting (natural and electric), and basically anything else you can think of that you would need for a stay. My hosts even supplied coffee and fresh fruits upon my arrival. There is ample room for storing your belongings to keep the space clutter free (much appreciated!) and you feel right at home the second you walk in. The neighborhood felt safe and friendly, easy parking available, and walking distance to beaches and downtown Encinitas and Leucadia. In less than a mile in either direction down the highway, there were restaurants, bars, pilates, nail shops, a movie theater, and even an auto shop that I ended up needing to visit. I had a few friends and family visit me during my stay and the prime location of the casita made each outing a total hit and success! You can literally feel the ocean breeze from Stone Steps Beach when you're sitting outside. Unbeatable! Liz and Chris were very warm and respectful hosts. Naturally in a setting such as this, we crossed paths throughout my stay and they always greeted me with a smile and checked in on how I was doing, but I always felt like I had my privacy and autonomy. Liz was even gracious enough to leave my packages on my patio when they were delivered. I highly recommend this property. I'm already scheming up excuses why I need to go back for another stay! I've stayed at quite a few homestays and this is definitely in my top. Thanks again Chris and Liz!
