AMAZING Geneva location! Bright garden-level apt with large kitchen, open LR/DR, and big table for meals. Located in safe, residential neighborhood. 1 mile to downtown Geneva where you'll find wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, Sunset Recreation Center, shopping, parks galore.
Close to Q center, The Herrington Inn and Spa, EagleBrook Country Club, Riverside, Hotel Baker and Lamplight Equestrian.

A garden-level apartment is between a basement and first floor level with windows above ground level. It is bright and spacious with plenty of windows. (See photos). Ceilings are lower than standard height, approximately 7.5 ft.

5 blocks to the Fox River Bike Trail, 1 mile to the Metra Train. Strong WIFI. External security cameras at doors and in public laundry area.
A Queen Air mattress is available for 5th and 6th guest. Guests under 25+ years of age not accepted without owner approval.

We had a great stay in Geneva for the night. Our spot was very convenient to lots of places around town. I would definitely recommend staying at this location!

Adorable place, very clean and well stocked. It was in a great location and had great natural light. I was nervous about what upstairs sounds we might hear but it was not a problem during our stay. We occasionally heard some light steps or muffled voices but nothing that was problematic at all. Would love to stay here again the next time we visit the area.

This is located in a nice quiet neighborhood. I felt safe taking walks at night by myself. We like the location. Close to stores, parks, bike paths, commuter train, and major roadsThe beds are comfortable, the kitchen has plenty of dishes & pots & pans. Everything was adequate for our needs. We'll stay here again the next time it works out!

Fantastic stay - Cita was very kind and accommodating as a host. The neighbors were also very kind. The location is lovely - very close to local shops, dining, and things to do. Neighborhood feels very safe and low key. Beautiful town overall. The property was well managed, and it had everything we needed. Thank you so much for everything!

Great Location and very affordable.

Beautiful area and easy access to downtown Geneva.My only problem was the window air conditioners, they kept my husband awake at night. We kept blowing fuses in the bathroom when I was blow drying my hair. Thank God my husband found the fuse box. The house is well stocked with everything you need. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect!

We had a wonderful stay at Cita’s lovely Geneva home. Everything was so clean, well decorated and comfortable that we instantly felt at home. The neighborhood was very nice and relaxing with people walking their dogs and saying hello as they passed by. The two bicycles were a nice touch, located in the garage, for a morning ride. We’ll definitely stay at Cita’s home again when we visit the area.

Great space with a great host

Fantastic spot for a two-day business meeting. Great Wifi and open space to meet and brainstorm in a private space. Beats a Regus or WeWorks for a spot for an extended meeting.

Greta hosts and apartment super cute. Fantastic location. Bikes are available. We wished we had more time to explore the neighborhoods. Great place for families!

Cute rental in Geneva

Everything was neat, clean, and well-stocked. The owner was very responsive, and the location is not far at all from downtown Geneva, so it was perfect for us.

Low Expectations

While in a prestigious neighborhood, this property is not what we expected when we arrived. Garden level is basement with residents/guests noise above a huge disappointment. Too many other choices available in Geneva.

Delightful apartment

Very clean and cozy

The property was very clean and perfect for our situation of coming and going. The listing doesn’t show the outside which doesn’t have much curb appeal. If someone planned to spend much time at the property it might not be ideal especially outside.

Very nice area/apartment

The neighborhood was very nice. The neighbor above was very friendly and even visited with us outside. The property was very clean and had everything you need. I just suggest to add wine glasses, extra batteries for roku remotes and AC unit in other bedroom. It got a little warm in there. Otherwise it was very nice.

Low ceilings feel cramped

Property was clean, but a few things made it one of my least favorite VRBOs in a long time. The low ceilings (7 feet) make it very uncomfortable— like being in someone’s basement. Also, super loud window air conditioning wasn’t very enjoyable. Aside from that, the property is clean and there is plenty of space — it looks just like the pictures. The owner has cameras in many places (inside and outside) and warns you about this multiple times before arriving. This adds some security to the property. I definitely would NOT stay here again.

Great location, easy access to the river, a good place to recover

I had back surgery at Rush and was required to stay in the Chicago vicinity for 3 weeks. We live in Virginia but used to live in Geneva. The apartment was a good place to spend quiet time and do some required walking. Two bedrooms that were neat and clean with sound beds and TVs. The kitchen was equipped with about everything you would need to make any type of dinner. Living room was nice with a large screen TV. Roku was a little bit different but did find channels that were okay. This apartment was at garden level with half windows. The rooms were bright and the ceiling was not too low. I am six ft and my son is 6 3, neither of us had any problems. One thing that would be useful are overhead lighting at the dinner table. Fox river is a 5 minute walk and from there Batavia and downtown Geneva are good hikes. It was a very good stay.

Deceptive

It is listed as a garden apt, which by definition is an apt on the ground floor of an apt building having direct access to a backyard or garden. Although it was very cute, this is a converted basement. It states in the listing that you "may hear steps from the upper unit". You WILL hear them, and they will sound like a herd of cattle above you. In fact, if someone above you is sick and throwing up, you will hear this as well. Unless no one is in the unit above, it is not a peaceful/restful place to stay. The mattresses are beyond firm, so if you are comfortable sleeping on the floor, this will not be an issue for you. We would definitely not return.

Cute place to stay but just know it’s a basement apartment.

We had a great time in Geneva. Overall the place we stayed was very nicely decorated, comfortable and close to town and the river. The bikes are a nice touch. Two things to be aware of when renting: the owner communicates a lot. There are contracts to sign and lots of back and forth. Way more than any other VRBO I’ve ever stayed at. Tons of rules and reminders of rules. It was a little stressful. The other thing is this is a basement apartment. There is an apartment above and ANY walking around, let alone kids running or people going up and down stairs especially at 5 am will wake you up. I’m not a terribly light sleeper but this was an issue. Kind of disappointing since one thing we were looking forward to the most for this getaway was sleep! But if that doesn’t bother you it is an amazing place!

Great stay with a few minor issues!

I enjoyed my stay , the location was great for my work trip and the parking / key entry was super simple ! The host was very responsive , however the number of automated messages reminding you of what to do and what not to do get a bit repetitive and can cause anxiety based on the tone and length of each message . I Believe I received 5 automated messages during the length of my 2 day stay. The wifi in the property was not reliable which is why I dinged it one star - even though I had host support me with the issue on the first day (thank you for the prompt phone call) , I still was forced to go to a cafe the second morning after Multiple router resetting attempts . Due to the location being in a basement you do not get the best service so hotspots aren’t an option so if you are working remote this may not be the best place for you until this is fixed . Another minor complaint I have is the efficiency of the AC Window units. It took awhile to get things to cool down, and if you plan to cook you must turn the kitchen unit off to avoid tripping the fuse which really can warm things up. Thankfully it wasn’t too warm during my stay but I can see this being a bit frustrating in the heat of the summer. Overall it’s a great location and is very cozy and enjoyable .
