The River House at Whitestone: Pet Friendly, Secluded Private Beach, w/ Kayaks!

This family could not have been better guests. I thank them all and hope their visit didn't disappoint them. Yes, the location is primo even if the house is 30 years old.

Kim and gang sounded as if they stayed very busy with boating/kayaking camp while in White Stone. I am glad they enjoyed the house. It is a perfect place for six guests. Kim, we had a new roof put on. The old one was 28 years old and had developed a couple of very small leaks behind the walls. Now that it is replaced I hope the need to air it out won't be necessary again. My bad on the door code. Please come again.

Steve and his family were wonderful appreciative guests and will be welcomed anytime. I loved reading that they relaxed, played music and enjoyed the water and wildlife-- as we hoped they would. The house is really an amazing place to be and it is lovely to hear such positive remarks.

We enjoyed Joey and his three beautiful, intelligent, curious and awesome children tremendously! We could not have had better guests! They seemed to enjoy the house thoroughly, which is important to us. Joey provided a video of the property from above via drone, put it to music and it will be viewable on our VRBO listing soon. They even met us out one evening to play darts. The kids showed interest in a renovation project we have going on down the road, loved our pets and loved the old tractor. We really enjoyed having the four of them and for 5 WEEKS!!!!!!!They are very special people!

Tracy and her pooch were perfect guests. The house had no trace of a pet being there except I found a much loved and chewed on soccer ball in the yard. If it is a favorite toy I will be happy to hold on to the ball for its return to you. I appreciate your positive remarks about the house. It is my family's pride and joy. Please come again!

Thank-you Laura. My brothers and I who own the house, grew up elsewhere-- Arlington. Ive never lived in a place that's got no trash service. Or water service! I understand. Its one of those things....

Sonny and family were extremely delightful. They were so at home at our home because they were tightly connected to the immediate area. They became family almost. I so look forward to seeing them next year. They sent pictures of their Thanksgiving dinner at the long table and used the house as our family has-- to get large groups of friends and family together. I look forward to seeing them again. I fact I just met another family member of theirs in town from CA. He's as wonderful as the rest.

Lorraine, Jodie and family, You all were perfect tenants! We are honored to have had your extended family and dogs there for the long weekend of Christmas. Your comments regarding the home's lacks or problems are very much appreciated, some discussed and some not, and we are working on solving these issues always, (new roof coming this spring!) When speaking with you after your stay you sounded really satisfied with what our house provided you all for a fabulous family Christmas. That is what we strive for-- incredible family stays there. The house is very special! I saw no signs that 3 dogs had been there. Thank you for being conscientious and making that happen. I wish you'd come back but I understand that every year, for 15, you go to a different place. Please keep in mind that our house is there all year round. We'd love to have you again. The surroundings are wonderful, as are the views, sunsets, space, water and beach! Im happy that your new family— baby and puppy, and inlaws could gather there. I am sorry that you had some issues while here but grateful that overall you enjoyed it! I’ll address your suggestions. You experienced angst b/c no one sent you the door pass key until the last moment. That is unconscionable and my fault for mis-communicating with my siblings. We have had problems with erroneous information or have been unable to access information on our VRBO website. I was unable to reply to your review for a long period. New regional manager—getting better! ”Zillow” has miss-represented our family property on it’s web-site after we sold a sliver of our land. The lot on Zillow’s platform we sold is now showing the specs as our 1004 house’s land, and that our property is “SOLD—Not On The Market”. Not true. The centipedes downstairs I agree are a real drag in some parts of the warm months. I’ll leave a note for future guests and a vacuum handy.
