A quiet escape steps from the sea cliffs

Gorgeous updated kitchen is well equipped and spacious with plenty of counter space for cooking
Directly off the kitchen is a large dining room table for all to sit and enjoy the ocean view
Sounds of the ocean fill the living room with 3 sliding doors and floor to ceiling windows for ample natural light
Curl up with a book on the couch or in our cozy papason chair
If you just can’t disconnect, don’t worry we have Wifi! There are smart TVs are in all the bedrooms and a Bluetooth speaker in the living room
Enjoy your happy hour on the deck while you watch for passing whales and breath taking sunsets
Adirondack chairs, bistro table, outdoor couch, propane bbq, and lawn games all provided for your outdoor enjoyment

Beautiful home with a wonderful mermaid/ocean theme, gorgeous views, exceptional access to the bluff hiking trail, everything and more that you need in the kitchen, responsive owners. We'll be back!

Wonderful location and the 3 Queen bedrooms all have views. House allows both togetherness and separateness depending on your mood. Dining table great for meals and games. Very clean except for the windows. Kitchen well-stocked except for decent wine opener and sharp knives (and bring Nespresso pods if you prefer to drip coffee.) Host communicates in timely manner--home access through door combo lock easy. Mermaids everywhere.

Just a couple of issues. No hot water in the master bedroom shower. The toaster didn't work properly but was replaced. No screens on 2 of sliding glass doors. Location is excellent. Lot's of towels. Lot's of kitchen stuff. Some items, ie, spices and such had expired dates, should be replaced or thrown out. Sliding glass doors should be cleaned and serviced. Hard to open and or slide.And a TV in the living room would be nice so everyone could watch together. TVs in each bedroom but no used them.

house is very pretty with a beautiful viewthe upstairs got very hota ceiling fan would be nicethe toaster wouldn't stay down and we had to hold it down till it finishedthe garbage area was fullno place to put garbage or recycle

Spectacular place to stay. Amazing view. Serene. Mermaid theme a little over the top, but didn't take away from the experience. Very comfortable house with modern bathrooms. Will certainly stay there again!

Perfect house for a family group

Comfortable beds. Quality construction Superbly stocked kitchen! Every utensil you need to cook for a group of 7. we could not get the upper oven on the stove to work but that have been us. Lower oven worked fine. Location was gorgeous.

Enjoyable stay at the Mermaid house

8 adults stayed here recently and we really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful views, a nice clean home and a well stocked kitchen. Had one issue and the host and owner were extremely responsive and fixed the problem right away. I would recommend this home and I hope to stay there again.

Beautiful location at Sea Ranch

Our group of 7 adults had a lovely stay at the Mermaid House. The location is fantastic with a great view and right by the bluff hiking trail.The house was clean and comfortable. Lots of mermaid art and a very bright foam green kitchen. There was one issue with a leaking cistern but the manager responded promptly.The kitchen is very well stocked with cookware, utensils and miscellaneous food items.

Terrific Sea Ranch gem with close view of the water

My family and I loved staying at this property in Sea Ranch! We’ve been to Sea Ranch a few times and this was our favorite property; it had gorgeous views of the water from every bedroom and the main room / kitchen. The house had such whimsical charm with the mermaid/ocean theme throughout. The kitchen was well-stocked and also close to the nearby Gualala supermarket. We loved staying here and would love to come back.

The house has a great location and view. Beads are comfortable. Maintenance was not great, in that several blinds were broken, and sliding glass doors did not work well.

Our family truly enjoyed our week at the Mermaid House. Our host Tanya was a very good communicator and the home has everything you need especially in the kitchen. Look forward to coming back to Sea Ranch in the near future!

Amazing place

Wow! Incredible views. Great kitchen. Super clean. Well stocked. Only issue was lack of comfortable seating in living room. Loved it. Would easily rent again.

Lovely and well-furnished property with location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mermaid House. The host was very responsive to pre-stay questions and with tips during stay. The kitchen and bathrooms were modern, clean, and well-furnished. We took advantage of the easy access to the trails along the coastline, as well as the pool and sauna at the community rec center. We brought our groceries with us, so once we arrived, we only used the car once to go to Gualala for a few supplies, and otherwise had all we needed at the house. One note for those new to Sea Ranch - the drive leading into Sea Ranch from the south winds with a lot of curves, so those with motion sickness issues should prepare accordingly.

Pretty Mermaid!

I've stayed in many Sea Ranch homes and each has its own unique flavor. The Mermaid house lives up to its name and we found it quite charming. The owners definitely went all in on the theme, and while it kitschy, it's fun and quite well appointed.

Mermaid House Getaway

This is a wonderful house with fabulous ambiance and an unobstructed ocean view with access to the bluff trail right outside your door. It has four bedrooms, all nicely appointed. The kitchen has every appliance and tool you would ever want or need. Will definitely stay here again.

Mermaid galore

Had a wonderful time. Very well stocked house and loved the close proximity and easy access to walking path and closeness of ocean view. Cute mermaid decor and driftwood art. There were two issues: difficulty with moving and opening the sliding glass doors and the screen on one of the sliding screen doors is torn leaving a hole.
