This beautiful beach level vacation rental is great for friends and families staying in Akumal. Part of Half Moon Bay’s most recent construction, Nikte 2 sleeps up to 7 guests with all the modern comforts of home. Enjoy stunning views of the Caribbean from its fully equipped kitchen and its furnished poolside wooden deck.

The master bedroom with king size bed and en suite bathroom, also offers gorgeous waterfront views.

The garden side guest bedroom has a king (can be set into 2 twin beds) and 2 trundle twin beds with en suite bathroom and tropical palms outside the tall window offer additional privacy.

Centrally located in North Akumal, Half Moon Bay lies right between Yal Ku Lagoon and Akumal Bay, all of which provide the very best off-shore snorkeling in the area. This one road town is no more than 1.5 mi long making its many eateries, dive shops, boutiques and stores easily accessible by foot, bike, or golf cart. The more adventurous travelers seeking to explore more of Riviera Maya will find themselves a short drive from the many archaeological sites, eco-parks, golf courses, and the nearby cities of Playa del Carmen and Tulum.

*Please be advised that while Nikte Condominiums do have an elevator, the service is inconsistent and in no way guaranteed. Please anticipate using the stairs. Thank you!

Great location for the whole family!

This place exceeded our expectations. We loved watching the sunrise from bed! The kitchen was well stocked. The location is perfect, close to akamal and the yalku lagoon. However, we loved the place so much we mostly swam and snorkeled right out from the condo. It would have been nice to have access to a kayak or paddle board. Next time we will look into this. Definitely would stay here again!

The condo itself was well appointed. Because of it’s location unless you have a car or golf cart access to restaurants and better provisions is impossible. Also in our case the sargasso seagrass made it virtually impossible to enjoy the water or the beach.

Thank you so much for your feedback, Marilyn! Nikte #2 is centrally located within a 5 min walk to La Buena Vida and La Lunita restaurants. While more restaurants are located 1 mile away. There is also a small convenience store right across the street. We also have a wonderful grocery delivery service available so you don't even have to leave the unit :) Sargasso is a seasonal occurrence in the area and while the amounts can differ from week to week, during the late spring and summer months beach and water entry can be affected. The condos do still have a swimming pool available for our guests to enjoy. Thank you again for staying with us and we hope your return to Akumal soon! Happy travels! :)

We did deal with some seaweed on the beach in front of our condo, but able to walk down the beach for a clearer spot. The place was clean, only dealt with some hot water issues on the first day and was fixed by the end of the second day. There was also some mixed up communication for pick up from the airport. All in all great stay and would recommend.

Like Our Own Private Villa

Reviewer Comments: Because Nikte 2 is on the ground level, our view of the pool and ocean just beyond made us feel as though we were in our own private villa. The attractive design, daily maid service, and convenient location within walking distance of two of Akumal's best restaurants all contributed to our wonderful week of beauty and relaxation. We also appreciated the attentive service provided by David, the concierge, who cheerfully answered our many questions in advance and made very helpful arrangements for our transportation needs to and from the Cancun airport and during our stay in Akumal. A plumbing problem that resulted in no water in the building for several hours the first day was the only hitch and was quickly remedied.

Beachfront Condo

We loved this condo! I would give it a 4.5 stars. The only reason it is not 5 stars is because of the hot water issue. We had trouble consistently having hot water for our showers. We later found out that the faucet is on a sensor and if it you don't have it in the perfect spot, your hot water goes to cold. Having said that, if I were going back to Akumal, I would absolutely rent this condo again without hesitation. The location is perfect! The beach is beautiful, and the water is amazing. We went snorkeling multiple times right in front of the condo and saw a lot of fun and different fish. Bring water shoes. The sand isn't rocky, but once you enter the water it is. Having my morning coffee on the patio, was heaven! There are several good restaurants within walking distance, and you feel very safe. The Jungle for breakfast (super close by) is a must. The food is very good and it's so close to the condo. the interior is clean, beds are comfortable, and the daily made service is a nice plus. The location is also very quiet and relaxing. We had a great week here and hope to go back again.

Relaxing Condo on the beach in a chill town

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Nike 2 was great! The location is beautiful, you can snorkel right off the beach in front of the condo (it is a bit rocky so water shoes are helpful) or you can go to the Yal Ku lagoon. The property is very clean, the housekeepers and maintenance are very available and attentive.The cons: The beds are very firm. The 2nd bedroom has a full/double and a twin. It is really is suitable for children if you want to fit three in the room. The pull out part of the couch (even with maintenance coming to show us how to pull it out) dove down on one edge - making it suitable for only one person to sleep on it. I would say overall the condo sleeps 5 comfortably (and thankfully this is all we had) The internet was slower than expected for fiber - we had no outages but the wifi was weak. A new router might help solve that issue. David was very helpful with airport transport and golf cart/bicycle rentals. We did stop at the grocery store on the way and this would be something I recommend as the stores in town are limited.Leticia gave us a good contact for a 2 day car rental.Overall we loved our stay - the Pros outweighed the Cons

Great snorkeling in front of condo

This was a perfect location for our week in Akumal Dec 2022. The condo is very clean. AC worked very well. Layout was great. 2 nice bedrooms, king closer to the patio w en suite and second bedroom w a full and twin. Second full bathroom. We did not hear the upstairs neighbor or outside noise when our door was closed. Great to have laundry. Nice kitchen with everything you need including big fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, blender, all the dishes and utensils. They supply water in a countertop dispenser. Housekeeping was accommodating to our schedule and did a great job. View of the water in the morning was amazing with beautiful sunrise every day. There was minimal sea grass while we were there. The pool is directly in front of the patio. It might bother some if they can't stand hearing kids play all day. But probably great for those with young children as you can sit on your patio and watch them from 5 feet away. The snorkeling was amazing to the right of the condo (facing the water). You have to go out a bit but there are huge coral heads. We saw lots of giant tang and a huge queen angel and puffer fish. We saw an eel, rays, lobster. Beautiful large healthy coral. Akumal direct was amazing to work with. They were super flexible and accommodating. Always answered our questions right away. They assisted w booking transportation from the airport, a rental car and booking excursions too. Close by there are 2 restaurants that are 3 min walk (we really liked La Buena Vida) several more restaurants, groceries, and shops just 1 mile away ( an easy walk) Don't hesitate to rent this condo.

Nikte #2 - ground floor unit

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A beautiful property fully equipped with everything you might need. Built in filtered water in the kitchen for cooking, great AC, smart TV, large fridge, gas stove, extra blankets and pillows Very spacious, comfortable and clean. Housekeeping and grounds keepers very competent and friendly. Washer and dryer were a plus.Unit was a five minute walk to two restaurants - Lora Buena Vida (S) and La Lunita (N).Would have been very helpful is there was some kind of orientation package in the unit with general information like when sheets and towels would be changed and where the safe and WIFI password were located. The unit did no t have a hair dryer and I mentioned it and one was provided the very next day.The only con is that families or larger groups staying during the same time would take over the pool with screaming, shrieking out of control children. It made it very unpleasant for others sharing the space. It would be nice if there were more regulations with respect to horse play and unreasonable screaming. Floaties seemed to make the pool takeover worse. Unfortunately, this has more to do with rude guests and bad parents than the unit itself. I turned my music on to an equal volume and this seemed alert some adults that the noise was a bit too much. (Don't get me wrong - I accept kids will play and make noise but this was prolonged and unreasonable).
