Charming ‘upside down house’ off Billy Cabin road in Mirror Lake area of Highlands. Recent remodel, new furniture and paint as of August 2023. 2 wood burning stone fireplaces, 2 living rooms, master suite downstairs, kitchen, dining room, utility, 2 bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. Huge upstairs deck wraps around house with similar deck on lower floor. Yard of 1/2 acre is perfect for furry friends. Flat lot around the property and plentiful parking, with an internal garage. Small fenced area for pets if needed, but they have the run of the whole lot.

Newly available coming off an 18 month lease. Full designer refresh August 2023

Great local hikes from the house to waterfalls and restaurants. Also, mountain bike from the house on gravel roads for hours!

Lovely home in a convenient location
The hosts were so friendly and helpful. The house was stocked with everything you might need. Comfortable rooms and beds
we will be back. Dogs and humans were very happy!

Kathy was a wonderful host! She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed for our lengthy stay. The house was spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated! It was close to downtown Highlands yet we felt so secluded in the woods. She gave us recommendations for hikes to waterfalls, great restaurants and shopping! I highly recommend booking this place! Thank you Kathy and Tony for being wonderful hosts!

This is probably the best VRBO where we have ever stayed. The house is extremely nice, it is equipped with everything you would need, it is beautifully furnished, the landscaping is amazing and it has a wonderful upstairs veranda where we spent many hours. Kathy lives next door and was always available to answer any questions and to provide recommendations for restaurants, activities, etc. Our stay at this home could not have been any better.

Excellent property! We really enjoyed our stay, super responsive host and everything was beautiful and matched the pictures in the listing. Well stocked with quality amenities which is always a treat. The big porch with the large outdoor seating was perfect for a glass of wine. The layout was good for families and wow, the beds were incredibly comfy! We will be back!

Rest and relaxation

We really enjoyed our stay. The host Kathy and husband were very helpful and had the house very well stocked. Everything was very clean and ready for us. The location was perfect and very convenient to downtown Highlands. The neighborhood was good for walking your dog. The deck patio area was a very serene setting in the woods. I would recommend this rental and would definitely consider staying here again when coming back to Highlands.

Dream Property

Fantastic property and amazing hosts. My wife, two young daughters send two dogs spent the week at this house. The house is beautiful and the hosts have obviously put a lot of thought into the accommodations. The location is stunning and very close to so many great hiking trails, waterfalls, shopping, and restaurants. I would highly recommend this property.

Great property Great hosts

My wife and I spent two and a half months at this property and loved it ! It was super clean and very well equipped. If you are looking for a private/mountain experience this is the perfect location. Close to town with a quiet mountain feel. I would definitely go back.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

It’s in a secluded area, off Billy Cabin Road, but great for local neighborhood walks and longer hikes, right from the house. A 30 minute stroll puts you at a water fall with swimming area that’s pretty much a local secret. Greatly for pups and kids who like to swim in cold fresh mountain water. You can use a hybrid or mountain bike locally and get 3 hills in safely for a very good scenic workout. The area is very quiet and safe with minimal passing traffic, in a 4 house cul de sac surrounded by forest. Even so, its less than 5 minutes to an Ace Hardware, a great BBQ Smokehouse and Main St Highlands.
