A good place to stay. There were a noticeable amount of ants and spiders around and lots of personal photos and decor. No meaningful complaints.

Elaine made everything so easy! Awesome location on the canal. A bit of a walk for to the beach if you have little ones. Great for pets and a ton of different rooms/activity options at the house. We really enjoyed our stay!

The house met our needs very nicely. There is only one bed that is questionable as far as comfort goes (full). Very clean and everyone enjoyed the bikes and kayaks provided. We made some wonderful memories.

Family week at the beach

Perfect week spent with my adult children and grandsons. Plenty of amenities great for family with young children. Beautiful property with play area for kids in the backyard and canal where we fished and kayaked. We absolutely enjoyed our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at the "He Crab She Crab" house! The location was perfect for a family reunion over the holiday. Communication with the host was excellent from booking to checking out. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed for cooking and entertaining family. We were just a few blocks from the beach and the area was very quiet and relaxing. We would definitely book this home again when we come back to Virginia for a family vacation!

We had a great time in Sandbridge! This was our first trip to VA Beach and the house had everything we needed! Plenty of space, lots of extras like linens and beach essentials. The weather was not great during our stay, but the house had plenty of games, puzzles, and movies to keep us entertained on rainy, stormy days. The only two drawbacks were the long walk to the beach, which we knew about when booking, and the poor cell signal, both wifi at the house and the signal in general in Sandbridge. The walk was doable with teens, but a wagon/stroller would be helpful for smaller children. The house has lots of "stuff" for young kids/toddlers, which is so thoughtful! We didn't need any of that gear, but we did appreciate the baby gate for our dogs :-)

NYE stay

We rented a gold cart from sandbridge rentals so that we could get to the ocean safely and quickly but the bay was very pretty, quiet and offered a fishing dock the kids loved.Thank you, it was a great family get away

A wonderful family getaway

This place is so great for families! There are toys, kids bikes, games, a crib, a high chair, stroller, wagon, and a full play set in the backyard! My family and I enjoyed our stay so much that we already started planning another trip next year.

Perfect house for our family!

My family really loved the house and the beautiful yard! Location was very nice. The owners went above and beyond making sure the house was stocked with everything we could need. We all enjoyed the kayaks and bikes and loved the view from the back deck!

We are so glad you enjoyed the week. As stated in the description, the beach is a 10 minute walk at a leisurely pace down our side street which has to curve around the canal in order to reach the beach. We provide adult and child bikes and a wagon that can be taken to the beach for a 4 minute ride. The nice part about the walk/ride is that it is on a nice safe side street and is one of the few wide enough for pedestrians and bicyclists to travel without having to move over on the shoulder when vehicles approach.

This was a wonderful home. It was clean and well equipped with kitchen ware and plenty of spaces to relax. The owners were reachable and quick to respond. Would stay again!

This property was perfect for our multi-aged family: from six months old to 71 years, everything was provided for all of us! Elaine and Mark are wonderful hosts - the home comes with many amenities that made traveling with young children effortless. We especially enjoyed the bikes. Beach access was close by and even easier to use since we could cycle over. I recommend this property highly!

Sandbridge is a great beach vacation location. The proximity of this home to the canal and beach is great! The home is clean, but very tired. All the provided amenities are very worn out and rusty (bike chains often fall of bikes, beach chairs difficult to open/close, baby monitor doesn't work, etc.). The home smelled musty/cat pee and the fridge was broken for a majority of our stay. The hosts were helpful and worked with us to get it repaired, I understand things happen, but we were without proper fridge/freezer for 4 days of our 7 day stay which was very inconvenient. The cost to rent and quality of amenities and house was not worth it. I would recommend staying elsewhere.

We are very sorry that the refrigerator failed during your stay. Rather than waiting for a repair, we chose to replace it with a brand-new refrigerator as quickly as possible. We know being without a properly functioning refrigerator for part of your vacation was inconvenient, and we appreciate your patience while we worked to resolve it. We were glad we could provide coolers and ice and refresh the ice during our visits until the replacement arrived. After your departure, we discovered the musty odor was caused by melted ice from the coolers soaking into the carpet. The carpet was professionally cleaned immediately, and the issue has been resolved. We wish we had known about the bike chains and baby monitor during your stay, as both could have been easily addressed while we were at the house working on the refrigerator. We also appreciate you bringing the beach chairs to our attention. They have since been cleaned and several have been replaced. Our home includes numerous complimentary amenities including bikes, kayaks, and baby equipment such as a crib, high chair, gates, booster seats, and cabinet locks that would otherwise cost guests well over $1,500 to rent separately. While we regret that a few items needed attention during your visit, we are committed to maintaining them and addressing issues promptly whenever they arise. Thank you for your feedback. It helps us improve the experience for future guests.

This property had a great location , was very kid friendly, very helpful with suggestions. The property was very comfortable , well supplied, it seems like it is being step by step renovated- downstairs bathroom newly remodeled but upstairs shower in upstairs masters will need updated,. We had a wonderful time

Great for a relaxing getaway

The house was amazing, has a lot of rooms for everyone to spread out of alone time is needed, as well as large areas to come together and have a meal. Elaine was quick to respond through text message and offered many suggestions of local restaurants and places to go. We were able to use the kayaks and paddle along the inlet which beats any rental place! We enjoyed staying here and would absolutely consider again, thank you!

A Week of Family Fun.

The property is perfect for all ages. The house and amenities make it feel like home. Our grandsons will always remember catching their first fish from the back yard. And the owners are great to work with.
