Shore Delight

The location of the property was great being right across the street from the beach with easy access. However, we felt there needed to be some updating. The kitchen had nostalgic 80's appliances, needed new pots and pans, and a few more drinking glasses/coffee cups. The master bedroom could certainly handle a king bed and the master bath was very tiny and not useable for 2 people. We could have enjoyed the front porch better if it was covered to provide shade and allow us to sit out in the rain. There were no beach chairs provided by the owner, so we had to add chairs to our packed vehicle. I am not posting a negative review, just pointing out what could be improved. I would still encourage people to rent this property. We enjoyed the convenience of the location.

Great Proximity to Beach

This property is very close to the beach and you can see the ocean from the huge windows. Also, the living room was comfortable with a big couch. However, beware, the home is older and needs some attention. The windows in the bedrooms do nothing for noise control and you can hear everything happening outside. Blinds in the bedrooms did not block the light at night from the nearby homes. Really needs curtains. Ants in the kitchen, lightbulbs were out in bedroom and one bathroom, paint was peeling in master bathroom. It is advertised with two bunk beds in one of the rooms, but that’s not the case. One of the bunks is directly on top of the other and we had to lift a bed up and lay it on the floor. Plus, we did not get sheets/towels for one of the twin beds. Bath towels we did get were old, felt like sandpaper, and barely covered our bodies. Bring your own bath towels. No dustpan in the home, though there was a broom. Very annoying given all the sand! We called and requested towels/sheets/dustpan, but they were never delivered. A maintenance guy did come and replace some lightbulbs. Hot water in outdoor shower was out, so only cold showers outside. No toilet paper, no paper towels, no trash bags, no dish soap, no dishwasher pods. Rental company did advise there would be no paper products, but we assumed there would be some toilet paper and a trash bag inside the trash can. I guess that was our fault. Overall, ok property, but wouldn’t stay here again.

Thank you for the feedback and for leaving a review. First, we would like to apologize for the negative experience you had with our company. We understand how much of an inconvenience these issues were on your vacation. We would like to let you know since your stay in this property, that all these issues were relayed to management and the homeowners. Since your stay, the homeowners have replaced all the windows in the home as well as the blinds. Multiple dustpans, brooms and vacuums are now in the home to help combat the sand that can find it's way in through out a stay. That particular bunk bed is being replaced as well. We have pest control come out to the property to routinely spray to ensure there are no ant issues in the future. There have been some other cosmetic updates as well. We understand how our staff at Better Beach let you down and we have went over these issues in our Spring staff training so our staff knows not to let these mistakes happen in the future. Again we apologize for your experience and thank you for the feedback for us to improve upon.
