Our unique home has two separate private living quarters for the early risers and the night owls. Gather at the private heated pool and hot tub and game room. South Padre's incredible beach is located a short walk away. Close to shopping, grocery stores, and waterfront dining. The Whale House is a perfect getaway that can accommodate everyone.

Enjoyed the spaciousness of the home. Our family of 10 was able to have separate bedrooms and all the beds were comfortable. House was clean. With some cooler days, the Hot tub and heated pool allowed us to still enjoy our time outdoors.

the house provided all the space needed for multi family vacation; extra household appliances in kitchen that were helpful host provided plenty of dish tabs and trash bags house several beach accessories available for use (umbrella wagon) that was not expected so we had brought our own. Pool and hot tub were well maintained. there were some plates that were dirty from previous renters we washed, and a few updates needed. Upon arrival there were not enough towels to shower for our group, but owner responded and sent housekeeping over the next morning with more. Overall a good experience

Honest Review!!

Please be aware of this property! Immediately after walking in the house, you were hit with a strong mold smell . The smell was in the upstairs living area. We found that all the upstairs vents had what looked like mold around them. We took pictures and sent it to the owners. They told us it was AC condensation and sent cleaners out in the middle of us cooking dinner. The house immediately smelled like strong bleach. Once the cleaning products wore off, the mold smell returned. I reached out again to the owners and no response. We paid so much money and drove 8 hours for my daughters cheer competition just to have our weekend stay ruined. 4 people in our party are sick. We had a party of 9 people. The only positive was the outdoor pool area and we stayed outside most of the time because it was horrible. We couldn’t believe that someone who was asking for a review not want to make this right. Anyways, this is an honest review from an honest loving family!

First visit to South Padre

Good location, nice neighborhood and spacious accommodations.Unfortunately, needs some minor maintenance and the carpet is very dirty, which is the first thing you see when you get in.

Better than in pictures

Our family had a wonderful time at this unexpecting home. The decore is a little off other than that, the space was clean, spacious and well worth the stay. There were plenty of bedrooms that had very comfortable beds. There were also plenty of bathrooms, although the hallway bathroom shower did not have much water pressure as the others. What I loved most about this home were the 2 kitchens. It was so helpful when preparing a meal for a big family. Overall, we had a wonderful time, thank you for the opportunity to stay at your home.

Relaxing stay!

We really enjoyed having a beautiful private pool/spa. The beds were comfortable. The host responded quickly to questions. The Whale House had plenty of space for 8 adults/1 toddler.

Great bayside home

This is a very pretty home with beautiful decorating. The pool was fabulous with a shade sail over it. (That was perfect for those very hot, humid days.) A 10 min. walk to the beach. Two kitchens were nice,. But didn't have enough big pots to cook seasi or life for the pots and plans.

Whale House Stay August 8-11, 2024

We were a group of 10 and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the whale house. The house was very clean and nicely furnished for our stay. The pool and hot tub were very clean, we enjoyed both of them during our stay. The switch outside for the lights in the pool and backyard as well as the hot tub were not working, We called the property manager and immediately he was able to turn them on remotely. He told us whenever we want to use the hot tub, just text him and he will turn it on. The kitchen was fully furnished, we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The beds were super comfortable and the a/c worked great! We would definitely stay at the house during our trip next year.

As advertised

We enjoyed our stay at the whale house. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate so we were in the house more than planned but it was plenty big for 9 guests. We used both kitchens and unexpectedly used the garage and ping pong table a lot and enjoyed it. Easy walk to the beach. Short Uber to most places on the island. Had minor issue and Nicole was on it immediately. Pool and hot tub were heated and we were able to use them in colder weather. We would stay here again.

Great vacation home

Property worked great for our multi-family vacation. Plenty of room and separate game space for teens. Pool and hottub was just what we wanted. Lots of local food choices close by.

Whale House

This was the perfect place for our family to stay over Christmas. We used the pool and hot tub almost daily and we did a lot of cooking. We had great space with the two kitchens, but there was room for all of us to eat together upstairs. Nichole was very responsive to any questions or issues that we had. Overall, we had a great time there!
